Just got back on the Disney Fantasy after having the day with Mike Morris himself. Due to the distance (he usually services Ocho Rios) the tour was almost double but was SO worth it! $45 for the day per person. We asked to go to Blue Hole and eat at Scotchies. There was an additional $20pp for entrance to Blue Hole when we arrived (yes he told us in advance).
He was there at the independent tour operator white tent before we arrived and we were first off the ship. He was crisply dressed, pleasant, and an immaculate vehicle. The ride there was very pleasant with chatting along the way with everything from local history to quizzes for the kids to current events (American football and international football aka soccer).
At Blue Hole our party got to jump from the 6 and 15 ft platforms and two rope swing / T bars. Kids said this was the best excursion in their lives.
Left Blue Hole and went to Scotchies. Mark was so prepared he had a menu in the van and called our order in when we were a few minutes away so we wouldn't have to wait. Jerk Chicken very flavorful yet not spicy. Jerk pork had a nice heat to it. VERY flavorful. Also had what they call festival which is kinda like fried cornbread tubes. Wow. Two quarter chicken, two pork, and four festival was $28.57. Two rum punch and three bottled sodas was $20.
Back to the ship and even a little early. Mark was very appreciative of our visit and gratuity. No dialect or accent - he sounded like a next door neighbor and was very well spoken in every topic worldwide and if he wasn't 100% sure, he asked Dr Google on the spot. He drove like I drive and not someone in a foreign country playing Grand Theft Auto like most guides.
Absolute top recommendations!!!
