  1. Okay, so I'm a little confused. Can you get this bar credit if you have already booked and paid in full? I cruise in 17 days. I don't want to change my room or anything. I have one of those two window ocean view rooms that I'm excited about. So should I call Carnival about the bar credit or will it effect my room?

Call them. As long as your cabin category is not sold out ,you have a chance of getting it. Have your booking # ready when you call. Good luck and have a drink for me:)

  2. Staterooms are very small. Smaller than the conquest. There are no Refridgerators or Ice buckets on the sunshine in any of the staterooms. You have to make a special request for the ice buckets.

All of the Cabins have no Refrigerators? Do they have the Mini Bars?

  4. Just bumping this thread up to see if anyone new as a review of Cabin 6279 on the Legend as there are three of us booked in here for an upcoming cruise. Any info would be great!!

Great cabin . upgraded bathroom with granite , larger balcony. plenty of closet space. we always book this catagory cabin on any of the spirit Class ships . Have been in all, 6279,7301 and 8237. it's a great cabin for 3.:)

  5. I know Carnival supplies shampoo, but how decent is it?

I already planned on bringing conditioner, so that's a no brainer, but if the shampoo isn't bad then I can save a little space in my suitcase.

I don't mind the shampoo. Just bring a good conditioner. The less I have to pack the better. If you dont like the shampoo, just pick one up in the ports.:)

  6. I am thinking of upgrading my current cabin on the Panorama deck for room 6279. The room is a 9B and is differently shaped. As well, it backs onto the elevator. I would like a picture of the cabin and any comments regarding elevator noise etc.

    Thanks much.

This is 7301 The cabin just above 6279. We were in 6279 last Oct. and loved it. It is the same layout as 7301.

We heard absolutly no Elevator noise. It is a great location..

  7. Thanks for the pics. I am currently booked ina 4K room which is the french door cabins with lifeboats in front of you - no balcony but doors open. There are 3 of us and we only paid $1007 for all 3 of us. I'm thinking of upgrading to room 7301 9B. Do you think it is worth $629 total to upgrade? I like balconies but it isn't critical and I've stayed in the 4K cabins before.

If it is $629.00 for all 3 of you, then yes that is a great price and a great cabin. You will love it.

  8. thank you, we originally booked a balcony cabin and the price dropped a little so we actually paid a little more and went for the 9B, sailing on the 11/27/2010 voyage.

You are going to love your 9B. We are also in a 9b On the 11/27th Sailing..:)

  9. Yes it does- thank you.

I wonder what the difference is between that cat 9a and a suite. (why pay the extra for a suite??)

On the Spirit class ships the 9a's are on the 5th deck with the balconys at life boat level(they call these obstructed view)The 9b's are level 6,7,& 8. .I like these cabins better on these ships. We looked in on the Suites and the rooms are broken up with seperate sitting area, dressing area and then the sleeping area. To me it made the room look smaller. In the 9b's it was one large open room. Even our room steward said that these were the best cabins on the Spirit Class ships.

  10. I won two rooms at the Riverside Hotel on Priceline for my family of 5 (me, hubby, son (21) and daughters (16 & 13). We'll be arriving on Saturday late afternoon for the one night before we sail on the Valor. Is there a liquor store in walking distance you can recommend? What about a good but not expensive restaurant for dinner? We've never been to Ft. Lauderdale, so I'm not familiar with anything in this area. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

I also got the Riverside booked for November. Do you know anything about this hotel. Is there any shuttle from the Airport or to the Cruise ship? Anyone with any info on this hotel?

    Thanks

  11. If we take our June 2010 cruise, my son will be celebrating his 12th birthday onboard! Does Carnival do anything special to recognize this if they notify them?

    Thanks!

On our last cruise Oct 2008 ,my grandson turned 10. We ordered a Chocolate cake from the Gifts site on Carnival. It was brought to our Dinner table the night of his Birthday. There was 7 of us . The cake was $10. Well worth it, and plenty big. :)
