Just curious, did you wear a mask at the airport? The reason I am asking is I have a long overnight flight coming up this week to catch my next cruise.
I didn't and now I wished I would have.

I ended up with Covid after my cruise to Alaska but I think it came from the airport and the flight home. My flight was much later in the day so I spent a lot of time at SEA-Tec and then a 5+ hour flight home. My positive test was exactly 5 days after my flight. I tested the day before that and was negative. So I'm attributing to the airport time and the flight which was packed. I have been vaccinated with just one booster and this was my first Covid infection.

I wax my upper lip most of it is just peach fuzz type hair but since menopause I have several longer dark hairs that just seem to pop up over night. I go to European Wax centers they are fabulous and not super expensive and the first wax with them is free what ever wax you choose to have. check them out if you have any nearby

Bliss is scheduled to use the Railroad Aft (RRA) dock in 9/27. You will tender from the dock to the small boat harbor.
will be looking for further information from upcoming cruises to see how the tendering situation goes.

This is the same dock that we are talking about, the Railroad Dock.
I believe so there were only 2 berths at the dock and one was already down from the rock slide in June and this slide closed the the NCl berth. Hopefully its only temporary

At 5 pm, I am surprised that they just didn’t move the ship to another dock. And have buses to get the passenger to the mill side.
the only other dock in that port was already closed due to the rock slide in June.

Thank you for reply, good to know.
Because you seem to be recently off the Mera, I am taking the liberty of asking you a completely unrelated question - is there conditioner in the dispensers in the shower? We have cruised the Mera once but it has been a very long time.
No just body wash and shampoo. Not sure if in YC you get conditioner. I always bring my own shampoo and conditioner but the bodywash was decent.

On Mera Feb 20, hope to enjoy rock band. Does band play throughout entire evening or is it a one-time show each evening?
Its a one time show each night at 10:30 and each night as a theme. they do have one night off but its fun to see the band members out and about on the ship.
-
no charge for the rock show on the Meraviglia. there was in the beginning I believe with some sort of signature drink but that has been done away with. The band is fantastic and a highlight of the nightly entertainment

Ocean Cay is awesome and with ships numbers as low as they are its like being at a private resort. Lighthouse beach is great with free chairs and umbrellas along with some palm trees for shade. South beach you need to rent an umbrella if you want any type of shade. my recommendation is to go towards the end of Lighthouse Beach past the bath house it is nice and quiet. If you tip the bar servers they will come find you for drink orders

I was at Jaime's in September and it was fabulous. food and drinks were awesome as was the service. Of course it was very quiet but I enjoyed a quiet day at the beach.

I too loved the coffee on the Meriveglia!!! It was the best cruiseline coffee I have ever had and I was not in the YC. and it was in both the the buffet and the regular dining room. Made me very happy to be able to enjoy a nice cup of coffee after dinner

Since you, as a guest, are required to wear masks in public areas and have agreed to that as part of a condition of travel I am questioning why you would expect "they" to give you a new one each time? You can't leave your stateroom without a mask on - is the steward to stand there in the hallway to give you a mask? Way easier to take self responsibility and bring a pack.
*Unless you are in YC, in which case I guess you could be "that guest" and have your butler meet you at your door each time you exit 🙂
well you can actually leave your room without a mask many guests do forget. They do have Health Safety Officers that monitor the areas around the elevators to monitor if guest are wearing theirs masks and to give them one if they forgot. And they are supposedly leaving new masks in your cabins as you need them. I had my own so I never asked for any from my room steward.

I brought my own MSC did provide some in the cabin. I brought a mix of cloth and disposable masks. I had purchased some sparkly masks to wear for evenings around the ship.

I was able to take advantage of the healthcare worker discount, and score a Meraviglia Fantástica balcony for $380 including taxes/port fees for a seven nighter early this November.
I enjoy spinning, and typically do Peloton classes on my iPad. I noticed that there are spin bikes in the gym - does anyone know if these are available for solo use? I don’t feel as comfortable doing a group class.
For dining, I probably won’t eat in the main dining room, but will rather stick to the buffet or room service (I save my extrovert energy for small groups at the bar). Does anyone have recent experience with room service for dinner? I know the service charge is free with Fantástica, but I can’t figure out based on my searches if there is a selection of complementary meals as well. I’m perfectly happy eating dinner on my balcony while reading a book (with a glass of wine, of course.)
Thanks for anyones insights!
No need to worry about expending any energy at dinner plenty of space to sit alone at a two top. I didn't use room service except for coffee in the AM so not sure about lunch or dinner but I believe there is a charge if you book from the dining room menu.

Not sure how many in your group but the going rate has been $8 per taxi, (for up to 4 people) for some time now. It used to be $2pp.
It was just me and maybe the going rate had gone up not sure. But It didn't really matter these folks have been without tourist $ for ages and I was glad to pay whatever.

How much was your taxi ride? I hadn’t heard they had gone up. Did you pay the same each way?they quoted me $8 which I knew was a bit more than normal before Covid but I didn't negotiate as I was just wanting to get to my location

OMG Yes I loved Jaime's Blue Reef it was awesome!!!!!! Digby was amazing and so attentive! It was like being in a private resort. well worth the $50 I think I got taken for my taxi rides but considering they have been with out any tourists for ages I didn't mind paying a little more. it was me and one other couple when I was there and it was an amazing day!!!! The water was perfect they have put up some kind of fencing to help with the seagrass. I'm sailing again in January and definitely going back

Definitely not a Voyager discount as the number they gave me doesn't work lol. I did end up booking myself. And my TA contacted me today about an interior room that was almost as much as the balcony I booked for myself. I didn't have the heart to tell her I booked the cruise myself. She mentioned something to me about service charges and the insurance but even with the insurance it was still cheaper than she quoted me. And from what she said TA's aren't fans of MSC not sure how true that is.
