I assume that's because you get the gold medal? Lol
The definition of a cutback is something that has been reduced, taken away, eliminated.
On the (ridiculous to even still be discussing this) cookie front, nothing was reduced, taken away or eliminated.
The old product is still available for free, no change there. There is a new product that does have a fee. That is not cutting back.
Well Celebrities "test" went over like a lead balloon and the warming oven and hand crafted cookies have been thrown overboard; so I guess it is a cutback now by your definition.
Still waiting for the REAL price hikes to appear (and they will)

Never turned away in my golf shorts, but your experience may vary.

They are going to do exactly what Royal Caribbean did; create an uproar over a cheap item, rescind the charge, say "We listened to our valued guests" and then raise specialty dining 20-40% costs

No, I get no medal because I don't work for the cruise line and I am not trying to justify cutbacks and cost increases.
Actually, many people are reporting that cookies are removed from the ice cream bar now. Maybe you want to stop with assumptions and pay attention to what is actually occurring. Claiming the old product is free and no change is categorically false

Less live music around the ship.

What?
There isn't a cutback. There is an additional, different product that people can purchase if they so choose. It's really that simple.
This is 100% a cutback but I'll give you a silver medal in the mental gymnastics

Can we please please stop the fake uproar now?!
Cruise line did this to themselves. No one here made this up. We need to sweep stuff under the carpet to appease you? Are you actually happy about these charges and cutbacks? Someone always champions increased costs as Fantasy CFO.

I'm happy to take your bet. I will buy you a cocktail at the Martini Bar against you buying me a mock cocktail if X removes the free cookies and/ or free ice cream within the next 12 months. 😂💲😀
Deal

They should charge everyone $1 for boarding the ship and $2 for tender access, because you're dumb, and this is modern luxury

Don't you just love choices:
Choice1
Warm, hand crafted cookies $2 plus service
Or
Walk the length of Al Bacio for a cold, free cookie.
Choice 2:
Gelato @ $ various
Or
Pop up to the Buffet for free ice-cream with sprinkles (I prefer this option)
Choice 3
Buy a Latte at Al Bacio
Or
Pop up to the buffet or the Hideaway for a free self service coffee.
lol, how naive to think these other "free" choices will still exist.

This is spot on. Longer cruises of a week or more avoid this clientele, as you experienced on the first leg of your sailing. You could take a 4 day cruise on Holland America and run into this as well. It isnt so much as 'the party crowd has found MSC" as much as it is MSC doing short cruises.
I did a 5 day on HAL and it was, no kidding, the biggest party bunch I experience in 30 years. Women outnumbered men 3:1 and they were there to compete!

Someone tried to gaslight me that this hasnt happened, except it actually has. This 100% is true, and has happened, and is indefensible. If you're a brand mascot that cheers for cost increases, we see you. We disagree with you. And we know you are planted.

8 ppl would pay which explains some of these new ridiculous costs we are seeing on RCI Branded ships

They aren’t going to charge for them anyhow, so it’s irrelevant.

That's a stretch. I'm pretty sure the engines to propel the ship require more energy than towel animals.
The Laundry uses massive amounts of energy; I know you purposely ignored a clear point to make a comment, but come on

Unlike other cruise lines, Royal does not have late night WJ hours. Most other cruise lines have a "snack time" around 10-Midnight, give or take. Royal ends buffet dinner around 9 or 930 and that's it. Those who plan to go to WJ to take food and go back to cabin for later on...let's face it, you probably aren't going to actually do that because you'll be at dining/lounges/entertainment and not foraging for rolls and cookies.
Think about how absurd, pathetic, and downright stupid Royal is forcing customers to think about workarounds on a multi-thousand dollar vacation because they want to make more revenue off their $2 pizzas
Let's face it, Royal is no longer even a luxurious vacation - like an arcade just keep inserting quarters every 30 seconds or so

The pizza thread got me thinking of other things Royal could or might plan to charge for in the future; would you pay a fee for getting towel animals throughout your cruise? Let's face it, they are MASSIVELY wasteful - Need extra towels, more laundry (one of the biggest consumers of energy on the ship), laundry staff/labor, more work for stateroom attendants each day if everyone wants them. I personally don't care if we get them or not and would never, under any circumstance, pay for one. But I do see where some people will pay for absolutely any/everything. Curious where YOU fall in this; Yes, No, Maybe?

Now that 4 drink vouchers are on the sea pass card daily, do people still go to the diamond lounge? Are there still snacks before dinner?
The same people stalk the same chairs for the same times every day, apparently allergic to any other venue onboard, and brag about the same hotel points/cruise points/airline miles that they always have. Never fear, the DL is alive and well

They should charge for a towel animal package. 3 Towel Animals for $79.

Lol, that pizza isn't worth a charge, so I am convinced they never intended to charge but finding a way to sneak in something else.

Cookies now cost $2 plus 20%
in Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity know no one would cancel a trip over this; that's how they get away with nickel and diming people on items. They know no $2, $10, $16.95, $50 charge or cutting service in half is really going to make anyone bail on a $5000-50,000 vacation
