  1. Not quite exactly the same itinerary, but here's the FunTimes for the 5 day Sunshine (New York - Saint John - Halifax) from 6/25-6/30. Maybe it's similar...

LOL thanks for trying..I always want to post reviews with pics but Im not very techy. I happen to come across Fun times and menus for this route dated June 2016 on another site. not sure if Im allowed to post the name so I'll leave a clue 1st word

In my best Buzz lightyear voice "to infinity and........."

    2nd word

a word that rhymes with Chips......

  2. Up until the last few years, NCL has been my favorite cruiseline....however, I can honestly say that Carnival is now my favorite. Unfortunately, we have booked an 11 day Alaska/West coast cruise with NCL...and it is paid for...and we are excited for the trip...so we are going, but it will probably be the last trip we book with NCL.

The no carry on beverage seems like a small thing on the surface, however when combined with all the other "changes", it is the proverbial straw for us. We do have an all inclusive beverage package on this sailing, BUT....it doesn't include bottled water, nor does it include cans of soda. I like to wake up and have a cold can of soda to start my day. I don't want to have to find a bar that is open at 0600 to get my morning soda. I certainly am not going to pay $40 for bottled water. The beverage package has very little value for my husband and I as we are not drinkers. We usually have 7 or 8 drinks TOTAL over the course of a cruise. We want bottled water and cans of soda and we can't get them with the all inclusive drink package. And we can't carry them on.....

    Goodbye NCL..........Goodluck!

My feelings exactly We are booked for this Sept but I think this too will be our last booking. I never complain about UDP that's ones personal choice, but to take away bringing your own water on then charge $50 for a small pk..to me that's blatant disrespect.

  3. Not defending NCL, as I've never cruised them, but with the UBP that is offered on nearly every cruise, and booze included on the SKY, does it matter that they restricted bringing beverages on board?

unfortunately to those of us who have already paid for cruises with NCL for the near future; for us 9/4/2016, it matters a whole lot. Being pre diabetic I cut out a lot of flavored drinks and opt for water We don't drink alcohol so why would we pay for the UBP and a case of water is 30bucks or so for a 12pk really!! I can drink at least 4 bottles a day alone forget giving to my family. and I don't drink tap at home so why should I have to drink and brush my teeth with their water system. So yes this really stinks. Im on the Sunshine with Carnival on the 28th we had no complaints about buying water on board because it is reasonably priced. Its all in how you do things.

  4. This is another reason I think NCL is playing with us. I can't believe Del Rio, who honors his travel agent partners so highly, would let this out covertly where he knew CC would find it first.

never heard anything from my big name travel agent but I got my email directly from NCL yesterday informing me of this change. I will be requesting my TA to demand a bar credit since this change was made after final payment. I always take a sealed case of water and 1 sealed case of soda. This will be an interesting topic on formal night with the Captain.

  5. I wonder if NCL is going to warn anyone with an upcoming sailing about the change in policy?

booked for Sept 2016. We received an email of this policy yesterday. I think it is unfair to force new policies on people after you've already taken their money. In full I might add. If NCL wanted to make this change it should be for new bookings only at least this way consumers can make their own choice.

  6. fun times YESSS!! please and thank you. I will be going in July. we had already planned to stay on the ship at St Johns, been there before on a 5 day, with another boat. liked Halifax a lot more. Im hoping that will give us more time for the pool/ waterslide. Are the slides open while in port don't remember from before cause we got off and went to the bay of fundy which was a rock in the water. And the creepy cab driver that took us there tried to rip us off and charge us $200.00 for the ride. So we showed him what the dark side of New Yorkers can look like; then called his company the said the ride would be free. We gave him $20 for the gas out of the kindness of our hearts. LOL Also if you took any pics of this new menu or remember any of it sounds like you didn't find anything you liked if you ordered off the steak upcharge menu. Thanks in advance

  7. We have sailed her twice. Everyone has opinions. Never felt more crowded than other ships. I have posted two reviews with pics if anyone is interested with details.

yessss! Leaving on 7/28 for the 4day out of New York. Please repost the reviews with pics. Thanks in advance. I also purchased the faster to fun; since we are boarding with" Irish twins" 6&7 lol

  8. Whoa! Retract the claws! No one said anything about not telling his mom, that's insane. Nothing in the papers mentions taking him out of the country, but she would have no problem with it regardless. We share custody and gave him half of the time in the summer. The only thing she would do is not allow us to surprise him. We would tell her either way, my question was mostly to find out how early we would have to do so.

Thanks for attacking me based on assumptions guys!

wow thanks for correcting those replies...The internet leaves no boundaries :( .I took my children for whom I had joint custody with on a cruise with carnival and since my name was on the birth certificate all was needed was a notarized letter from my EX that he consented to the children cruising out. That and the birth certificate will be fine. I found that info on the website, before I got it.
