  1. On our last cruise (Carnival) we asked, as we always do, for the beds to be set up together. While we expected for the bed to then be made up as a queen (or is it a king?), with queen sheets, etc., they were made up separately, but shoved together. It made it quite difficult to really sleep very close to each other. It seems to be that the last time we were on RCCL, the bed was made up the way we expected. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Not really a make or break issue, I'm just curious.

    Thanks so much!

  2. I think it comes down to which travel agency you use, and how efficient they are. We always book through our travel agent, and it is very easy, never have to wait on the phone etc. all it takes is an email to her. We have put her through her paces for our next cruise (changing room categories while getting a better bottom line, dining times, etc.), and she didn't bat an eye! I am not a fan of sitting on the phone for long periods of time, and am happy that she is willing to do so, AND she knows the "ropes" far better than I do, and can "speak their language" and ask the right questions.

    It's a personal choice...

  3. We are also sailing with you, and are very excited! As you are checking out this website (or any others), and if you read reviews of the ship, keep an open mind. You sometimes get two reviews of the exact same sailing, and one hated it, and the other loved it. A cruise is what you make of it, in my opinion. Yeah, there may be a few little "blips", things you are not too fond of, but if you go with the idea that you are going to have a great vacation, you probably will!

Def check out the roll call, there are over 100 of us signed up already! Looking forward to the whole experience.... we are traveling with good friends, taking a few days to drive down from Ohio, and then the cruise, then a few days traveling back to Ohio.

    See you on board!!!

  4. Cruising in November, have a question. Is there a difference in the Soda package price if I pre-order rather than waiting until I am on the ship?

One more, I think I am reading correctly, that there IS an advantage to pre-ordering an internet package, rather than on the ship.... if I wait until I am on the ship, can I order it a day at a time? I only want to use it perhaps 3 out of 8 days...

    Thanks so much all!!

    Have a blessed day/evening!

    Go Bucks!!

  5. Speaking for myself and my sweet husband: on non-formal nights he typically wears nice slacks and a dress shirt (many times with a tie), or sometimes a polo shirt, while I wear dresses or slacks and a nice top. This is our style, I guess. Two reasons, mainly; one is because this is what everybody did when we first started cruising (he also was on staff on a cruise ship a LONG time ago, and it was always required), and second, we are on a cruise, and we enjoy dressing up and looking our best once in a while. Although I have to admit that while we used to keep our dinner clothes on throughout the evening, we (well, my husband) now go back to the cabin and change at some point after dinner....LOL!

It used to bug me when I started seeing people wearing shorts to dinner on a cruise, call me old fashioned, I guess (and I am typically a rule follower), but then I realized that it is their vacation, not mine! To each their own.

In other words, how you dress is entirely up to you!!

  6. We are booked on the Fascination for 2/13, my husband and two of my sons (adults). I got our online check in done, been after my boys to get their accounts set up. Because they are both on limited incomes (first jobs, after college, not making much dough), they are hesitant to set up the accounts because of the $100 hold that goes on their debit cards (they may need that money before we leave). So, the question is, what is the latest that they can set up their accounts before we sail? One of my sons was just here, and said that he could not find the answer anywhere on Carnival's website. I told him I know just where to go to get the answer - my cruise buddies on Cruise Critic!

Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge on this!!

    Nineteen days and counting!!

  7. We are cruising on the Carnival Fascination in February, driving down the day before we sail. My question is regarding whether or not there are any hotels with "park and cruise" options. Has anybody had any experience with this?

    Thanks!

  8. Going on the Glory 5/23 - 5/30, and would like to know if there are spots at the ports where wi-fi is available.... Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Roatan, and Belize.... I am not one that needs to be "connected" all the time (part of the reason for vacation, right?), but want to be able to catch up once in awhile when it is free to do so.

Thanks everyone! I am at work today, TRYING to keep focused on work, but I think I decided that I am at that "giddy" stage now, my mind is already in Miami, ready to set sail! Flying out in the morning!!

Thanks so much for any answers that you can provide!
