Hi Bonnie....Over the last couple of weeks there have been numerous postings about this departure port..Feb 8th TravelBugM was concerned as was UKtog. Feb 9th you posted that Hotel Director Ryszard stated our e.docs were incorrect and we needed Harbour Front..indeed on the 12th you informed us of the correct postal address...where is correct please. I have received no information from Azamara with updates.

Hi..I'm really confused now. We are on the Borneo/Vietnam and Thailand cruise out of Singapore 25th March..previous postings and replies advised we also would be at Cruise Centre, Harbour Front although our e.docs state Marina Bay....which is it to be?

Following on from Bonnies post...Az senior management...it ain't broke, don't try to fix it.

We were just on Journey..stateroom 6067...one of the best cabins...quiet, convenient and with a very private veranda.
-
Stateroom 6067 Journey... sailed October/ November 2017.
A very quiet cabin with a slightly more private veranda due to a solid bulkhead dividing wall to the RH side.

I am sorry to hear your decision not to visit Petra because of what we perceive to be animal abuse...I too belong to an animal charity and hate what some poor animals have to suffer but we can't help them all...just the fortunate few.
You will miss a spectacular venue.

Yes Rabin...the horses are thin and worked hard. The walkway down to the treasury is a very slippery stone and the horses have no grip ...the sound of them trotting and sliding is upsetting but as UTog says, we do see these sad, and to our minds cruel actions in other parts of the world. One missed visit by us will not change the attitude held by the often young, ignorant drivers. Again, Petra is amazing.

Petra is a wonder..I am so glad we saw it. I have a hip problem and take pain killers and I was able to walk to the treasuary and back with some pauses...my husband has the same problem and some breathing issues, it nearly killed him and we had to ask for a wheelchair on arrival at the Movenpick where a delicious lunch was provided when one opts for the ships excursion..not for the feeble or those who care about animal welfare!

We have sailed both cruise lines and think neither is truly suitable for children but if pushed, Az is friendlier with the occasional officers child on board. Oceania is sometimes a little stuffy and very little interaction with other guests and staff.
-
We too have used both Az and a B to B on Oceania R class..this was handled really well. The finer touches, furnishings, chinawear etc is slightly better on O and it's a very clean line. It's difficult to put my finger on it, but Az is a better cruise.
The ship (O) is somewhat lacking in personality, and is dead in the evening with acres of empty ship. Itineraries are on a par, all too expensive, but on Az the captain himself will often wave you off with a cheery word.
Different strokes for different folks but everyone we met on our O cruise preferred AZ.

We cruised Celebrity in the past and sang it's praises. Then the changes started, all of which have been mentioned previously, we were advised to try Azamara and now, 14 cruises later we just love the line! Yes, it appears more expensive but when you factor in the fact that drinks are included (at any time of the day), grats are not expected, shuttles are free and the ship, though small, has a big personality, we feel it compares well. I always want to post to the newcomers who worry about little things to stop....nothing is perfect, but on Az. a quiet word will usually solve any issues.

Just visit the disco in the living room and dance to all the music that really 'hits the spot'. Calories disappear, and one sleeps so well.

We were on this cruise and, as always, had a wonderful cruise. The food, both MDR and the speciality dining rooms was good to excellent. We sunbathe on deck 11 where it is quieter and always were offered drinks through the day and, yes, there were some really windy conditions. One sea day we could not find beds and an officer saw our confusion and immediately had two sunbeds located from somewhere and set up for us just where we needed them...great service. We had one or two tiny things which affected our cruise and the quietest word with Philip saw them addressed and rectified. Whilst chatting to our server one lunch time whilst she was pouring our drinks the couple sitting behind us snapped their fingers loudly for her attention......some people are rude and determined to find a grievance. Azamara every time for us .
Journey..25th March..departure point please.

Hello...Reading so many posts re departure ports for March/ April often with conflicting advice . Could someone please inform me of the correct point of departure for the Borneo, Vietnam and Thailand cruise. My e.docs say one thing, the posts here contradict. Azamara have not informed me of changes so I am very confused.
Thankyou.
