  1. Can anyone recommend a waverunner rental site in Cozumel based on personal experience?. We usually do this while in Grand Cayman but the boys 19 and 16 want to give it a go in Cozumel as well this year. Not looking for a follow the leader type ride as we are all experienced riders with our own skis. In Grand Cayman (private tour) there is a guide but its more of a freestyle type ride as long as you stay within eyesight of the 6 or 8 riders on the tour. Thanks for your suggestions.

  2. I just read in a compass posted by a recent cruiser out of Galveston that there were some alcohol restrictions on the first day. Said something about limited availability and some bar venues possibly closed until ship was in international waters . Since this is my first cruise out of Galveston, was wondering if someone could share some further information on this topic. I will have the premium package so thinking maybe better to buy on day 2?

  3. Hi Jean -- we took copies of the photo page which has all of your info on it when we left ship in port for excursions. Leave your original passports locked in your cabin safe. You never have to worry about where they are the entire cruise. Just don't forget and leave them in the safe when you are finished your cruise.. Haha..

    Have a great Thanksgiving..

  4. I'm sorry as I know this question is a bit off the OP question.

I have just redeemed my rewards RCCL visa for OBC for my upcoming cruise. They sent me a a confirmation email that had no reference number or confirmation number and no details on what to do next. Do I need to call RCCL and confirm that these points were credited to my ressie as OBC?

  5. Bob, I found it.. When I went into the cruise planner part of my reservation. then selected either Giovannis or Chops since that's all the specialty dining they have on Indy. Then it comes up. Plus what you advised is there as well.

    Insider Tips

Make 3 reservations at any of our specialty restaurants and receive a 20% onboard credit† with our dining package.

Receive a 20% onboard credit* on all Day 1 reservations.

Kids 5 and under eat for free.

Kids 6-12 years old eat for less. Ask about our kids specialty dining prices onboard.

Gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegetarian options available. Ask your waiter.

Chimichurri and béarnaise are just two sauces available for your steaks. Side dishes are served family-style for 2-4 people.

Try the Roasted Potato side dish — a guest favorite.

Leave room for dessert! The Chocolate Mud Pie is a must for chocolate lovers.

  6. Did I read somewhere that there is a discount for the specialty restaurants, (Chops, Giovanni's, etc) on night one? I am referring to IOS if that make a difference. When I go online to book specialty dining , it is just giving me a discount for multiple nights of 3 or more. Don't think I want to do specialty 3 out of the 6 nights. Maybe Chops one night and Giovanni's one night.

  7. Yes, absolutely, a formal night will be NewYearsEve. On your cruise the first formal night will be night 2 and nye will be the second formal night which is night 4. Make sure you book now, as many people that don't want to go all out formal in the MDR tend to book the specialty restaurants. A few waiters told me that NewYears Eve is always the busiest night in Chops . I would assume Giovanni's would be the same.

  8. I use the type lanyard that has the retractable cord on the end. I do wear it under my shirt. So when I need it I just reach under my shirt, and pull on the holder and then it retracts back into place. I always get the drink package so this way I always have it with me and after a few drinks, it's one less thing I have to worry about.. Where's the card, where's my phone camera, where's my ones, etc

  9. Only if they are side facing and the ship's management permits it.

Bob, could you please clarify what you meant by side facing? Also is it an all or none type decision made by management. I mean could they say "OK anyone on deck 9 and above that wants to open dividers can but deck 8 and below cannot" for whatever reason.

  10. I had JS 9334 on Indy in February. It was a great room and great location. Just on the front edge of the hump. I posted a few pictures of it in the tacked "Royal Caribbean Cabin Information" thread (post #374). We did not have the connecting room though.

The aft JS on Freedom class ships are more narrow, but slightly longer/deeper. They also do not have a true walk in closet. As others stated, the balconies are huge, though the view is somewhat obstructed by the ships superstructure.

    Dan.

Thanks so much Dan for sending me to your JS photos on Indy. Any other photos you have or review that you did? Also I was a little concerned about foot traffic noise based on this room being so close to the elevator. Any thoughts?

  11. Love it... when you have had it made the right way, soupy, watery variations just don't cut it..

Like eating a Philly cheesesteak in Minnesota or a Maryland crab cake in Arizona.. Sometimes they lose something in the translation. You don't have to be a southern chef to make biscuits and gravy.. But you do have to to have had it before and it least know what it should taste like, look like and what consistency it is.. They're version isn't even close....

  12. I was on the INDY New Years Cruise last year. It was the final week of the season and they showed a couple different 4 pm games as well as the Sunday Night Eagles/Dallas game. Also showed many of the bowl games. They showed many of the night college games on the huge screen in the pool area. Also showed games on in the soundstudio (forget name) near the ice rink during the day.
