My vote would be for Victor as you will be able to see more of the island. He has all sorts of add ons as well, and there is a lot to see in Roatan. I think daughter would be just fine. We were there in March and just went to one place to totally relax, but we have been to Roatan several times, and have seen most of it. Enjoy your cruise..:)

Or you could be like us in March , delayed by oil spill and finally got off at 10 PM with platinum priority debark...Real fun..:o

You are very welcome. Need any additional glad to help..:)

Been a couple of years since we did the AI, but I remember the food being good. I think we had Coconut shrimp and some grilled shrimp and some other fish plus guac and chips and salsa...

IMO West Bay has the best beach snorkeling, around Tabyana...We have done private tours there several times. We thought Half Moon Bay resort was great for lunch..It is at West End, not too far from West Bay..We toured the East end on one trip, much less traveled, and completely different, but it is hard to see both ends in the same trip. If you would like a beer, have your driver stop at a convenience store where a Port Royal or Salva Vida are about $1.There are a lot of scenic photo stops that your driver will know well...Here is a shot of West Bay and one on the east side near Oakridge..The photo in my signature is a mangrove tunnel tour we did once. That was fun. Enjoy Roatan..:)

We have been there twice, last time this March. It is pretty typical of the other beach clubs in the area. We did the AI the first time and PAYG the second. We like it there fine.

I would agree with crewsweeper as to hiring a driver. The cost is well worth it as the driver can also tell you what works best for your timing things..
-
The east side is quite beautiful, probably not the safest for swimming, but you can surely get away from the crowds. There are several beach clubs along the way. I believe this photo was Punto Moreno when we were there..
We are sailing that same itinerary on June 29th. I would love to see the cruise compass if you have time to scan them. Your review was terrific. thanks so much. Also - trying to figure out what to do in Cozumel. HAve two teenage daughters (15 and 17)who want a beach day but I'm tired of cozumel. Did you like the other side? would it be worth hiring a driver to just tool around over there with the girls? Any place you would suggest we stop? -
I am curious if you have been to Roatan before ? I am having a hard time understanding why so many people have such a fear of it since the incident. You wouldn't catch me at night in Detroit, Chicago, etc., but you would in Roatan...Compared to Jamaica, actually no comparison. Sorry, I am just puzzled over this?
Be careful in Roatan. -
Thanks for the great review and all the info as we will be on it in November, probably our last cruise as we have been on quite a few and are going to do some AI's for a change. As you mentioned the Galveston prices, especially the Liberty, have gone a little crazy. Our Navigator cruise is less than half of most of them. I am glad you enjoyed Roatan. Maybe this will influence a lot of people who are afraid to go there now..

We have been to Roatan 4 times but have not used the public mini bus..You can catch it near Coxen and it is very cheap. Here is a helpful link..

I always buy from them and did notice in fine print if it is off it can jeopardize a claim. When I price it I have also noticed that it does not change within a few hundred dollars as far as rates go.
-
I just noticed on an online TA we use that prices are posted all the way to April 2016.They must think this ship is really special as the cheapest starting balcony price w/o port fees or taxes s $1049, and they go way up from there. We paid $1265 with taxes and all for our upcoming Navigator cruise. Are they just thinking we will jump all over this because it is new there or what ?The $1049 is PP and the $1265 was for both of us.

I agree, very rude. By the way I love Colorado :)
Wow! Rude. -
Pretty much the same, and I would say a little cheaper in Progreso..
-
Royal's website shows Liberty in Galveston Oct and Nov 2015 with N/A for prices right now. Was this already mentioned in this thread ?

Forgot to mention. You can e mail Kimberly at info@turquoisebayresort.com and she could answer the question. She usually answers within 24 hours..

We were there March 19 and we had beer..I believe I remember it to be $3....I did not see anyone doing massages but really did not pay that much attention. Maybe someone can answer that..This is a slideshow I did if you did not see it. Most of the first part is Turquoise Bay.

Bunches of choices in Cozumel, Mr. Sancho's, Playa Mia, Paradise beach, Money Bar..Mr. Sancho's and Playa Mia and most others are not rocky. Photo from Mr. Sancho's a few weeks ago.

We were there several years ago when the pier area was new. Beware everything there was about three times the price. Best to take the cheap cab ride to Mahahual. Walk out of the gate till you come to a taxi area, perfectly safe. In Mahahual you can walk the drag along the beach, lots of places to eat, drink , shop...

I am not well schooled on refundable OBC as I have never done that , but on our last cruise on Magic half said promotional, and have said OBC refundable.

Thanks to you and the OP for the nice comments about us here in our great state. I am sure Texans are not the only ones who act this way, and no matter who it is, it makes such a difference when you are nice to people, kind of like going to the grocery store and pulling out a basket to offer it to the next lady coming along, puts a smile on both faces..:)
I've been saying this for years!! I live in Los Angeles, and Galveston is my favorite place to sail from, both because it is way closer to LA than Florida, but more so because Texans are THE BEST people to sail with!!!:DI only wish that Oasis or Allure could fit in Texas!!!
-
Pretty sure it must be used on that sailing unless it is refundable OBC. Then you get the cash back and you could apply that to the next cruise.
