Hi does anyone have the latest prices from navigator for the drinks packages.
We are on navigator in October and have the select drinks package and wanting to find out what the cost will be to upgrade the package.
Thanks
-
on Navigator sailing 6/16 12 night paid $46 per night in advance (after 20% discount offer). No idea what it cost onboard because I already had it. I believe the price prior to discount was $59/night. Basic gratuity included. Some bartenders got extra tips because they went above and beyond. absolutely got money's worth out of it. But we love cocktails.
Hi we are on navigator soon. Was it good? Any tips?

We're just back from Vision (Eastern Med) and upgraded the 'free' select package to the next one up for extra 10usd per day plus the gratuity..so about 12usd per day. Considering the wider selection of wines and cocktails (which you can't get with select) it was a no brainer really. Well worth it. And gratuity was paid on the 10 dollar upgrade, not on each individual drink.. which after a few price differences (if possible buy just pay the difference) may end up costing you the same. Never known it to be possible just to pay the difference on a RC ship, like Mrs M above says. Good to know.
We took USD notes with us to clear the SetSail account on the final night and some Euros for the ports of call. No point taking GBP onboard - saw some UK passengers exchanging pounds to dollars and then dollars to euros, each time losing out as the ship exchange rate is poor.
There is a cashline onboard but can't imagine their rate being as good as buying currency in the UK.
Hi did you upgrade to premium?
We have the free select and want to upgrade on the ship too.
Thanks

hello
Just back of the navigator sailing from southampthon. The menus were loosely based on those attached but there were quite different in many ways. The classics which are served everyday didn't include the sliders but a different pot pie everyday. There was no tapas or spinach dip ( although on room service menu) , no roman salads or garden salads, no duck or veal. Instead we had Singapore noodle and lots of roast chicken and beef dishes fish and chips . Trifle for dessert.
Lots of other dishes on menu still there, garlic prawns , fruit soup, chicken masala, lasagne, horseradish salmon
Hi Claire
Do you have any details about the drinks packages on Navigator?
We are on the ship later in the year. Thank-you and hole you enjoyed your cruise
-
It depends.
My UK agent got me a price drop recently and she also got me a price drop AFTER final payment so I got a refund to my credit card.
It depends on how good your agent is and whether he/she wants to fight with Guatemala. Those who say you do not get price drops in the UK probably has an agent who just says 'computer says no...'
Some prices you see are for new bookings only.
If you do get a drop then it will be under the T&Cs of that new promo price, therefore if you had a drinks package on your original booking but the price is now £500 lower with no drinks package; then you do the math and work out which is the better deal for you.
If the price drop is huge, it may also be worth taking the hit of losing the £150pp deposit and starting over again.
Good luck.
Thanks for this info. Good to know

If the price drops on a uk cruise are you entitled to the difference back?
I'm in the uk and booked through a uk travel agent

New to cruising this year will be our 3rd but booking through a USA ta is starting to appeal just not sure who and where to go to find a good one!?

Great pics and review. We are on NOS in October and this has been very helpful. Will be trying some of the speciality restaurants on the back of your comments.
Thank you
-
Looking for reviews and tips regarding the restaurants on navigator. Which is best?
Thanks

Are these the menus when they sail out of Southampton later in the year?
-
I would advise anyone to book online if you can
Hi have you upgraded? Did they give you a daily price breakdown?
Thanks for the help
-
Well 64$ plus taxes a day here on ovation
Yes I do have a feeling the price will increase when we get onboard in October. 😟
-
On my cruise planner it is showing at £32.98 per day for the premium drinks package.
-
Nope you can't upgrade at home. I have just been to guest services and they said the online price is nothing to do with them this price is correct. They said it is corporate policy nothing to do with the. Just went in the pub and there was no red wine under 12$ so making select a waste of money. If I had known I would have booked a guarantee and then booked premium online for less than I paid to by the way get select free
25 dollars is alot per day.I will have to think about the upgrade now. Thanks for the info

Wow!! We have the select for our sailing in October and was going to upgrade on the ship but this does seem very expensive. Is there no way of doing it before you cruise?
-
It's your choice to use a cash account or a credit card account or combination. If you choose a cash account, Royal does not require you to deposit cash up front. You can charge up to $500 before they ask you to pay it down. You can oay it down with cash or credit card.
Thank-you. Don't go until October but have been purchasing dollars in advance.
-
Are you and to deposit dollars as soon as you get on board to use as credit?
I would rather do this than credit card details?
Or cash and credit card as back up if needed?
-
As we have been on cruising for three years this is news to me!!
Can anyone point me in the direction of the TA or the toll free number or name?
Thanks
-
What? We did it.
Hi. How did you do this please
-
No, you cannot upgrade a drink package that was included as part of the fare pre-cruise, unless you are willing to pay full price for the upgraded package.
Thanks. Will have to wait till we get on board. I do like everything done before then I don't have to wait in that long line at guest relations!!!
-
You can upgrade on the ship. You cannot take advantage of the 20% off in combination with a fare that already includes a drink package.
Are you able to do it before you're cruise?
Thanks for your help.
-
With our cruise we have the standard drinks package. I want to upgrade this to the premium package. Do I do this through RC our agent or when I'm on the boat? I see there is 20% off at the moment so would like to do it asap. Thanks
