  1. Thanks for the update and the pics. We will be on the Miracle in less than 3 weeks!!

    We were on this cruise.

About 6 or 7 in the morning it sounded like our cabin was about to fall off the ship (deck 4 aft). I went out on the balcony and saw the starboard propeller wasn't "propelling". The port prop was blowing water halfway back to Sitka. Been on at least 10 cruises on Spirit class ships always on the aft, deck 4 and have never seen that before. A few minutes later the operation returned to normal. When the power went out later that morning it had that same shudder. Within minutes the big back up generator fired up and partial power was restored. (We had a clamshell center of the aft when the power went out, didn't walk out there until about 9 and there were 5 or 6 clamshells vacant, older crowd). We were definitely bobbing around for a while. Cruise director announced there was nothing to worry about - we were "in the middle of the Pacific Ocean". I get the jest of his comment, but I bet some of the older folks didn't find that assuring😜.

I was out on the balcony when we pulled into port and saw the tug pull around to the back of the boat like he was going to push it ( and on deck 4 the tug was basically in my face) but he pulled up so he could pass a rope to the Miracle crew. In those 10 or so cruises Spirit class cruises, always deck 4 aft or corner, I've never seen a tug boat tie up to the aft of the ship in Long Beach.

I watched closely and the tug NEVER had full tension on the rope, (and also never let it dip into the water (remarkable skill). So I assume this was an insurance measure in case there was another power failure while docking, that would not be good. The Miracle powered itself in and tied up as it always have.

The water in the toilet was a light yellow all 14 days. And the linen, some was the loveable brilliant white, and some was dull looking. Didn't bother us tho, all part of the journey.

Sucky pictures, had to transfer from phone to iPad then resize......

  2. I had the same question. I see it under "My Orders" but do not see it on the boarding pass? I see FTTF on the boarding pass so I expected to see Cheers also. I assume that it is not printed on the boarding pass but they will see it in the system at check in.

  3. Thanks!

If you used a TA, contact them or if you booked through Carnival directly, call them. Either way, have the Cheers program applied to your booking and then pay it off with the ecards that you purchase. By doing it this way, you'll save the 5.00 + 15% per day by purchasing Cheers ahead of time. Remember that you can also use the ecards for gratuities, specialty dining and any other on board purchases.
  4. I just bought a few ecards through Verizon and had a similar question. We plan on using the ecards for the cheers program. I plan on buying them in increments in the coming weeks for our cruise in October. I could apply them to my carnival account as cruise cash as I purchase them and apply to cheers once on board or I guess I could wait until I have enough to cover the cheers program completely then just apply all of them towards cheers (with cheers being slightly cheaper if you purchase in advance). I haven't used ecards prior so was wondering what you all do I have already made the final payment. Thanks!

Yes you can. You go to the Fun Shops section online and you can purchase Cruise Cash. I did this for my upcoming Vista cruise.

  5. Definitely worth it to us! Priority boarding, Priority tender off the ship in tender ports, Room ready as soon as you board, Dedicated line at Guest Services should you need it, We also usually drive to the port and its a 5-6 hour drive so getting off the ship first at debarkation is a plus when you have a longish drive home (Last cruise were off the ship and through customs by 7:20 am). To each his/her own We love it.

  6. Thanks for the review! Going on the Inspiration in 59 days and reviews are few and far between. Loved finally seeing a few pictures.

We decided to fly on points but how long did it take you from Phoenix? (which major cross streets :D curious as I would have to add the time to get there from Gilbert almost Queen Creek)

If you enjoyed the serenity on the Inspiration you will LOVE it on the Miracle!! Can't wait to go back in September

Hi there, Thanks!! We live about as far away from you in the valley as possible!! NW Peoria @ Happy Valley/Lake Pleasant. So we took the 303 to the I10 and off we went. The drive itself is @5.5 hrs and a pretty easy one. We like going the day before and staying at the Maya and starting the fun a little early and that way we don't stress over traffic etc.. The serenity deck was nice on the Inspiration and is very secluded but it would be great if it had a bar back there. We have been on the Miracle before and LOVE that serenity deck. Pool, Hot tub and a great bar!! what more can you ask for!

Have a great cruise on the Inspiration!!
