Also check your roll call!! There are usually people that have arranged an excursion and need more people to fill it out. And if you have an excursion in mind, see your roll call to help fill it!

From personal experience on the Sun, from the lobby to the pool deck, which if I remember correctly is deck 11.

With NCL you don't qualify for for the level change until the cruise AFTER you earn the points and they aren't credited until after the cruise is over.
After the Western Mediterranean, I was at 79 points. Under The. old system, 75 points was platinum, so on my Transatlantic I was platinum.

I organized my first meet and greet on our transatlantic in 2016. We were 14 days on the ship and we started with 2 port days(out of 5). NCL originally wanted to book it for the 2nd sea day, which was after our 3rd port but I was able to convince my contact to allow it on the 1st. I was really pleased with attendance. Out of about 160 who said they would attend, 125 did!
I am currently working on the M&G for our upcoming Transatlantic and Southern Caribbean cruises. I don’t try to do everything myself. Someone else is organizing our cabin crawl and our slot pull, and a few other events.
I find it easier to create a google spreadsheet to keep track of everyone and all events. Much better than trying to keep track via the forums. There is a link to my current ones in my signature. Anyone can see it, but only those who I allow can edit it. All it takes is a google account. I am always open to suggestions for more events, and changing format in the spreadsheet if someone has a better idea on how to present the data.
I like the idea of the poker run, but was thinking of combining it with a pub crawl instead, but maybe it would be easier with the cabin crawl. Will have to think about it.
Paul.

There is a clause I believe that it can be a foreign port does not to be a Distant foreign port
That is why some round trips to Hawaii stop in Ensenada
You could read the whole PVSA just google it
It’s a round trip, any foreign port is ok. Between two US cities, it must be a distant foreign port. That is why Panama Canal trips between LA and Miami always stop in Colombia or the ABC islands. They are considered distant. No other Caribbean port is.

I am probably misunderstanding this completely. You would go from Seattle, USA to Vancouver, Canada via Alaska and then from Vancouver, Canada to Honolulu, USA. What would be illegal? I have been on a b2b cruise Miami- Western Caribbean - Miami, Miami - Eastern Caribbean- Miami and a cruise from NYCity to Miami via Manaus, Brazil. None of it was illegal.
On your New York to Miami, you visited Brazil. It is considered a “Distant” foreign port so it is legal. Vancouver is not considered distant, so it would be illegal. Round trip cruises are a totally different circumstance. Hope that helps.

I am wondering about where to put your luggage on the train, and the Argo bus to Largo Della Pace (2 of us, each with a suitcase and a carry on). I did use the bus and train in '16 but it was during a port stop, so we had no luggage and I didn't pay attention to where luggage would go.
Thanks,
Paul

Below is the post I made last month in another thread. Hope this helps. If your day in Pisa is the 23rd, you should be able to book a time on the 3rd. (tomorrow).

Hi. We did Livorno on the Norwegian Epic last October (2016). We were in Livorno on a Thursday. As we had had a long day in Rome the previous day, we did not want to do anything too strenuous, and decided just to do Pisa. I bought tickets via http://www.opapisa.it/en/tickets/buy/. You can only book 20 days in advance, so I marked it on the calendar and made sure I visited the site first thing in the morning that our date was available. You pick the time for your visit (we chose 10:30AM) and print your ticket. After we docked we took a shuttle bus to the Livorno Centrale train station (sorry, I can't remember if we had to pay for the shuttle or not.) Once at the station we bought train tickets to Pisa Centrale (and our return tickets at the same time) from the newstand inside the station (it was quicker than waiting in line at the ticket counter). I cant rememeber the price, but it was not expensive, around 10 Euro each. Once in Pisa (about a 30min ride), across the street in front of the station you catch a bus (I am relying in Google for this info, not memory, but I believe the LAM Rossa, Linea 21 at stop Stazione Fs 6.) If memory serves, we bought tickets at a kiosk inside the station, about 1 or 2 Euro. The ride was only 10-15 min and lets you off very close to the entrance to the Plaza of Miracles, Stop Torre 1. Walk throught the small courtyard full of vendors and through the gate and you are there. We could have taken the bus back to the train station, but it was such a nice day and we had the time, so we walked back to the station. It only took about an hour. I hope this helps with with your planning.

Nothing showing for the Sun from March 31, 2018 til November 27, 2018. I can still access my November Panama Canal and Southern Caribbean on MyNCL but nothing shows when I search cruises for those dates.

Another of the veterans of the 19 day Tampa to Vancouver in April. 2015. It was over before we knew it. Had a grand time. the sea days between the ports helps you recharge. We did 7days on the Epic last October, followed by the 14 day Jade repositioning from Barcelona to Tampa, and did 8 port days in a row (Including the day in Barcelona to change ships). Really made me appreciate the sea days! Our roll call for the transatlantic was very active, we had about 140 attend the Meet and Greet! Really helped with sea days, especially when Bermuda got cancelled due to weather and we ended up with 7 sea days between Funchal and Miami.

Hey Clay, I didn't think you were anywhere near the age to retire![emoji12] Bonnie and I did the Jade from Barcelona to Tampa last November. That extra hour isn't all it's cracked up to when you get them every day or two!

We spent 19 days in 9026 and had no noise problems. Great location with easy access to the glass elevators.

No and No. if they stopped smoking in the casino, no problem. I have smoked outside so long, it feels weird to smoke inside anyways. But having a few avoidable places outside should not be an issue to anyone. Now if they offered a perfume free cruise........
