  1. We are cruising on the 11th Nov for the 3rd time on this ship. We've had a Signature sutie and a Neptune suite (on Westerdam), and this time we're in a Neptune again. Each time it's been an upsell, except for this trip. We got (to us) a super deal to cruise so we took the Neptune. We do enjoy the perks, but if the cost to upsell for you is high, you may not want to do it. It depends how much the upsell is. If you do take it, I'm sure you'll be spoilt and love it. If you don't, you'll still have a wonderful cruise.

  2. We have bought the wine package 3 times, but when we cruise in a few weeks, we're just going to purchase bottles as needed. I don't think you save any money doing the prebuy wine package, and you don't have that much choice in selection of wine. Keep in mind that if you don't finish your bottle at dinner, they bring it back the next night for you. We aren't big drinkers so each cruise we had prebought, we never finished all the wine and just offered to our table mates on the last night.

  3. We're changed to Cap Cana, and I wish it was Amber Cove. We were there the first of this year and it's very nice and well set up. Not a beach mind you, but a lovely free form pool, comfy loungers and looks like it's very new. At Cap Cana, you have to take transportation to a beach in Punta Cana. I'd vote for Amber Cove as you walk off the ship and everything is there.

  4. I've bought this 3 times. It is only for soda fountain pop, not cans of pop. You just show your card (which should be in your cabin if you've preordered), to the waiter, and he'll use it to "pay" for your beverage. I've never used up the whole $50 worth and this cruise next month, I'm not going to prebuy, just pay as we want.

  5. Sailing next month and will be in a Neptune Suite for the second time. The first time we didn't do breakfast in The Pinnacle because we didn't know it was a perk of being in a suite. This time we intend to take advantage of it. My question is, is it basically drop in for breakfast when you're ready for it? Is the menu very big? I'm not a big breakfast eater, but husband enjoys a bigger breakfast. Also any one know the times it's open? We are on the Nieuw Amsterdam. Thanks.
