We want to go to Juanillo beach as well, but I'm hesitate to book as a ship excursion, as my husband can get sea sick and if the tender is very rocky, we wouldn't go on it. I'm hoping we can get to the beach privately, if only for a few hours.

Our cruise departing Nov. 11 is going to St. Thomas and Cap Cana (Dominican Repub).

We were in a Neptune Suite a few years ago, and didn't know it included priority tendering (or that Pinnacle for breakfast) was included. We're off on the 11th Nov. in a Neptune again, and I was wondering how the tendering works for Neptune guests. I've never noticed a line of people going ahead of others in line before.

It’s a Neptune suite that we took as a guarantee cabin. Shouldn’t be a problem but I just like to know where we’ll be. I check the luggage tags a few times a day.

You're braver than I am! We always fly in at least a day ahead, sometimes two if in the middle of winter.

We're going on the 11th of November and I'm waiting for our cabin number as well.

Good choice! Enjoy!

We are cruising on the 11th Nov for the 3rd time on this ship. We've had a Signature sutie and a Neptune suite (on Westerdam), and this time we're in a Neptune again. Each time it's been an upsell, except for this trip. We got (to us) a super deal to cruise so we took the Neptune. We do enjoy the perks, but if the cost to upsell for you is high, you may not want to do it. It depends how much the upsell is. If you do take it, I'm sure you'll be spoilt and love it. If you don't, you'll still have a wonderful cruise.

We've been on the NAmsterdam twice, and will be again in a few weeks. I've never had reserved seats in the show room. Is this something new?

We have bought the wine package 3 times, but when we cruise in a few weeks, we're just going to purchase bottles as needed. I don't think you save any money doing the prebuy wine package, and you don't have that much choice in selection of wine. Keep in mind that if you don't finish your bottle at dinner, they bring it back the next night for you. We aren't big drinkers so each cruise we had prebought, we never finished all the wine and just offered to our table mates on the last night.

Still waiting for our guarantee Neptune Suite. Cruise isn't till Nov. 11, so I guess I've got a couple of weeks waiting.

dag144, had to laugh at your Westey is a dog comment. We've had 4 of these little terriers. I agree with every night is a wonderful night on a cruise. We were on the Westerdam the first HA cruise, then next 3 on Niewu Amsterdam. 3 weeks to go!

I received notification just this morning that our Nov. 11 cruise will now go to St. Thomas instead of St. Croix.
-
We're changed to Cap Cana, and I wish it was Amber Cove. We were there the first of this year and it's very nice and well set up. Not a beach mind you, but a lovely free form pool, comfy loungers and looks like it's very new. At Cap Cana, you have to take transportation to a beach in Punta Cana. I'd vote for Amber Cove as you walk off the ship and everything is there.

Got a notification this morning that instead of St. Croix, we're going to St. Thomas, which was the original port. I'm very happy about this, as I've always wanted to see St. Thomas.

I haven't used it, but have inquired about the cost, etc. twice, but found for me the choices I was given, and the pricing weren't what I wanted and so I booked myself.

We're doing our 4th HAL cruise next month. You will love it!!! Enjoy the planning, and the anticipation of your cruise.
-
We're on the NA next month and have prebooked dinner here. I don't eat fish, so hoping they don't take the beef off the menu.
-
It just seems to gimmicky to me.
-
I didn't think the glasses were very big, plus filled with ice, you don't really get much pop in a glass. I usually asked for two each time I ordered.
-
I've bought this 3 times. It is only for soda fountain pop, not cans of pop. You just show your card (which should be in your cabin if you've preordered), to the waiter, and he'll use it to "pay" for your beverage. I've never used up the whole $50 worth and this cruise next month, I'm not going to prebuy, just pay as we want.

Sailing next month and will be in a Neptune Suite for the second time. The first time we didn't do breakfast in The Pinnacle because we didn't know it was a perk of being in a suite. This time we intend to take advantage of it. My question is, is it basically drop in for breakfast when you're ready for it? Is the menu very big? I'm not a big breakfast eater, but husband enjoys a bigger breakfast. Also any one know the times it's open? We are on the Nieuw Amsterdam. Thanks.

It's the N Amsterdam we're on, which we've been on twice before. Hoping it is mid ship guarantee as my husband gets a little sea sick and we find mid ship is more stable. However, for what we paid, we're thrilled to be in a Neptune Suite again. Loved it the first time.

LadyVol1, thanks for posting. Is the Nieuw Amsterdam damaged at all, or is it just stuck for now? We are cruising on it Nov. 11 for the 3rd time. Thanks.

We're on the NA on Nov. 11 and I just got my cabin assignment today. We had booked a guarantee Neptune Suite (SC) and we got a SA, which I think is an upgrade. Regardless, it's midship and that's what we wanted. It's to the side of the stairs, but not a big deal. Can't wait to board!!
