Craps has become my game of choice. I have traveled on RCCLl and Carnival. The last 8 years have been on Carnival. Carnival only offers 2x odds, What do the other lines offer? It is silly that the return is better on a place bet than a pass line and max odds.

My guess is that with all the discounted/free cruises being provided for gamblers that they are the fastest growing segment of Platinum and Diamond cruisers. And now some want to give them more perks? They are already getting cheap cruises. NO!
It would not surprise me if they say the free or heavy discount cruises for the gamblers don't count towards the night totals. The $300 total 7 nighters is the only reason why I continue to cruise. The wife enjoys it, but if I was spending $2000 for 7 nights, I would expect a whole lot more.
Some say it is hard to get to platinum, it isn't. My 5 yo is already platinum.
You can take away the perks, just don't take away my free cruises because Vegas is offering great deals again.

The ATMs have a max of $500 per transaction.

Most of the upgrades were in place. The only one that made a difference to me was the Guy's burger. The two lido bars had the new signs, no real increase in what was offered. The deli was moved to the back buffet near the desserts. Pizza was move to very back by the aft bar.
They were still doing repairs as the kept two elevator on each set of elevator out of service. This was a major pain as they were over 100% capacity with half of Texas on spring break.

The 4 day is a Thursday to Monday. You will pay for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Last year we had one in our party that was a diamond. We were assigned late seating but requested early seating. Our Diamond Member went to change and the maitreD said that early was full. She went to guest services and they put us in ATD dining room. They held a table for the 4 of us to come anytime we wanted as the table was reserved for us. The wait team that we got moved to was the best I ever had in 18 cruises.
Diamonds are the only group that get guaranteed dining time.

My understanding is that it has stopped on all ships.

$20k, That is 8 or 9 cruises.......
That's one good night in the Casino.
-
I normally take $4000-$5000 for the casino. A few times I have had up to $20,000 in the safe. I won some more and split it up between my room and my mom's room safe. Never had anything come up short from the safe.

I sure hope they did. I have heard reports that they raised roulette to $10 min bet inside and outside. They give you chips with a $2 min value. Hopefully they raise craps and blackjack too.
-
This is great news. Tables will be less crowded. When I walk up to the roulette table to play $50-100 a spin 3-4 times, I will not have to reach around guys sitting there chain smoking for hours playing 5-$1 chips.
I wish they would raise blackjack and craps to $15-25. You should be there to make money, not to burn time. You cant make any money 5 bucks at a time.

how did you find out before the announcement FATGUY?
If I told my secret sources, They would not be secret anymore.

There will be some upset folks. Only can drinks will be allowed, no bottles.
-
I have only seen one and I was in it. There is no need for a 35 yo man to buy drinks for my 14yo niece and try to get her to his room. The only reason he didn't get her to her room is the passed out as they walked out of the elevator. It took 3 Pakistani's and 2 Indians to pull me off the scum. It was 1 am on the last night of the cruise. All I got was"you go to room" as I suckered punched him when they were taking him to the brig.
Other than that, I haven't seen anything.

From my understanding, Ships that offer 3 and 4 day cruise do not offer the DOU card. Ships that do the 4/5 day cruises do offer it.

I think the dress code is just for the evening meal. Wear whatever you are gonna wear for the day. If it is a swimsuit, wear a coverup and you won't feel out of place at all.
Men have to have a shirt with sleeves on for breakfast in the MDR.
-
Lol well someone will always pay maybe not all the same people but waiting is maybe fun when your little or if you cruise once or less a year because of the anticipation and even then it's not that fun so people will pay a good amount for it. I say raise it again maybe 150?
It should of moved to at least a $100 and start dropping the price 5 bucks at a time randomly.
-
Let's see how popular it is at the new pricing.
-
I am just a business man that looks at all cost versus value and noticed Carnival isn't paying attention to the market.
-
If FTTF is so popular and sells out every time, Why don't they raise the price and let it be a true profit center? If I have something that sells out almost instantly, I would raise my pricing to balance the supply versus demand. If demand is low, you drop the rate. It would treat FTTF just as they do the cruise fares.

With their 6/5 odds for blackjack they are not getting $10 a pop from me. Go back to 3/2 and I will think about it.
Go to the $25 table and you will find 3/2 blackjack

But what happens when the sun moves to a different part of the ship and I want to follow it? If I'm a Diamond cruiser, do I get to unseat someone?
Nope, but you can find an open seat that doesn't have a name on it wherever that may be. Don't be greedy. You were the one that picked your seat to start wih.
-
I hope your not serious. That is realy lame! Some sort of class system has no class
Seriously, It would reward those that are loyal to Carnival. It would be your seat for the week.
-
Here is a solution:
On day 1 at 3pm, Diamonds get first pick and get to hang a name tag on the chair of their choice and then Platinum's choose and then Gold and Red and Blue get chairs without name tags. If you don't want a chair, don't show up.
