Yes they had a hair dryer in our balcony room but they it is not like a blow dryer that you have .The air flow is very weak and it is connected to the drawer .Take your own.

I just read that beginning in January the Triumph is getting the new itinerary out of Galveston and the poor Magic is being used for short cruises to Cozamel and Progresso.The Magic is a much newer and better ship than the refitted Triumph.I live in Houston and we have been on the Magic several times and loved it.A lot of the people on it were people from Mexico who came to Galveston to cruise because it was the closest port.I doubt they want to cruise back to Mexico.

My husband and I (mid forties) are on the Breeze January 3 and the last port is Nassau.I have been to Nassau before and I was thinking of doing the catamaran excursionHas anyone done this? I just want to be out on the water.The other idea is a day pass to the Melia which used to be the Hilton.If we do the Catamaran I wonder if we could go to the beach for the rest of the day.If so where?

We are spenfing the night in South Beach January 2 before we leave on the Breeze on Satruday and would like to go to a cuban resturant for dinner.We are a couple in our forties.I see that Larios and de Rodriguz are good.Any suggestions?

We ldid the Caymen , Jamaica itinerary and loved it .Seven mile beach in Caymen is fabulous We really like the Magic it is a grear ship and I know after being on Magic I would be disappolnted in another ship that wasnt as nice.The ports on the other ship do sound nice though.I guess what it comes down to is ports or ship.We went on Magic last year to Belize and it was not comparable to the Caymen Jamaica trip so this year we are going to Miami to go on the Breeze.It is much more expensive and a hassle to fly and spend the nighr but we have no choice if we want to go to some new ports.I think you will like the Magic.Everything is modern and clean.An older ship even if it has been redone is not the same..

We were in Belize last December and went to Geoffs cay.There is no beach to speak of only awooden pier that juts out into the water where people were laying our in a line sunbathing.The pictures of the beach on this private island look much better and I would do this if I went back.There is actually a beach where you can enter the water.

Which shlp goes to Puerto Vallarta and what port does it leave from?

I wish that they would go to some differrnt ports from Galveston.We have done both itinerarys.The Roaton Belize run and the Cayman Jamaica .I really like the Magic but would like to go to some different places further down in the Carribean.We are flying to Miami to go on the Breeze in January. Puerto Vallarta or Cabo would be nice.I have heard a lot of people from Houston say the same thing because they really like the Magic and bring able to drive to Galveston instead of flying to Miami.

We are going to be in Nassau in January on the Breeze and want to do a day at the beach.I have read that the Sheraton has a better beach than the Hilton.Is this true? We just want teo chairs at a nice beach, nothing included like drinks or lunchWe are two adults mid forties would like to go to Paradise island but not to Atlantis.Is there anything there that is less expensive than Atlantis?

My husband and I are going on the Breeze out of Miami in Jan 3.We have been on the Magic several times but this is the first time on the Breeze.How is the serenity deck? What is your favorite resturant? Is there sny live music? Has anyone been on the catamaran trip in Nassau? I was thinking of booking that.I would like to go out on a boat .

My husband and I are in our fortys snd we have sailed the Magic three times since we live in Houston.I love it it is my favorite ship.The cabins are larger than the other ships, they are well appointed, the beds are very comfortable and there is space for everything plus a smsll fridge.I love the serenity deck.The taste bar is great and you can taste different things .The red frog pub is fun and has good shrimp.They have a wine tasting in the steakhouse with food that was really good.There is so much to do I was almost sorry when we were in port.The library is good .I loved being able to workout while at sea.They have good showers in the spa .I used to take a shower there instead of the room.Its fun just exploring the ship.I also liked the kareoke.There is something for everyone.I never felt crowded even though the ship was fullThe children I saw were all having funTherr are also good shops in the arcade.They have clinique products .It is a pretty ship .

My husband and I were thinking of doing the Balmoral beach day when we are in Nassau on the Breeze in January.We are in our forties and have been to Nassau many times to Paradise island.Has anyone done the beach day and is it much better than just going to Paradise island.?

I am going to be in San Juan for the day at the beginning of January .We are on the Breeze.It is my husband and mysef I was thinking of taking the ferry to StJohn for the day.Is that complicated? How far is it from where the Breeze docks to the place the ferry leaves from?

We live in Houston and were thinking of taking the three night cruise from Galveston to Cozamel but are concerned about the weather this time of year since it is hurricane season.Has anyone done this and how was the weather? Rainy?It is my birthday month and that is why we were going to do it..We have been on the Magic twice and loved it.

We are going on the Breeze on January 3 leaving out of Miami.We are flying in from Houston the day before and need a hotel next to the port. I :Dwas thinking of the intercontiental but just saw it is $236 a night.Does anyone know of a way to get it for less or is there another hotel that is nice?

We were on the Magic last December and it stopped in Roaton and Belize.We took an excursion to Caye Caulker.I was expe ting white sand beaches and blue water.When we docked in Belize I saw mosquito repellent for sale in the open air market.There are no sand beaches on Caye Caulker, the people were sunbathing on piers that jutted out into the water.Thr best thing about Belize were the plantain chips which were delicious.We had been to Caymen Islands the year before which I loved.There is a lot of poverty in Belize and the water is like Galveston, grey not blue. We saw a lot of backpackers.

I have had the same experience.I was at a dinner party and someone at the table asked me what I was doing for New Years eve and I said my husband and I were going on cruise o ut of Galveston to the Caymen islands.They asked what ship I was taking and when I answered Carnival Magic, there was dead silence I I told them I had gone on the same ship last new years eve and it was wonderful.They still looked skeptical.I love the cruises and really have no complaints.These people have preconcieved ideas about carnival.

We got faster to the fun last new years by checking several times day for a month.I finally got it at 11.00 one night, If you are persistent in checking you will get it but you have to check every day several times a day and be ready to book it with credit card as soon as you see it because other people are doing the same thing and if you dont book it as soon as you see it someone else will.Good luck,More will open up as people cancel and dont make their final payment.
