Valletta is a walk and a lift ride up from the cruise terminal. Very nice to walk around, delightful old buildings, shopping, coffee etc. There is also a "toy" train that tours the extended city. You can easily fill in a day this way without going further afield. I think smart casual would be fine for mass and also suitable for walking around, but that is of course your call. I think Mdina is a bit far with the limited time you will have.

Would be ok on most balconies at sea, however we had a balcony once on Princess where you were overlooked by all the balconies above. Probably unwise there.

She has sailed and is transitting Port Philip bay. Marinetraffic.com says she is doing 10 knots yet freighters behind her are doing 15/16 knots. Is NS running at half speed?

I wouldn't imagne it happens often, in this case, Radiance had to anchor in the harbour as she is too big to fit under the harbour bridge and Ovation was using OPT on one of her extra cruises from Sydney.

While Sydney has its limitations, RCCL brought the issue on themselves by scheduling two big ships at the same time for reasons best known to them.

Having said that, when the two Queens came in some time ago, they docked one at the Garden Island Naval base, which has no passenger facilities. This may have been considered and found not practical. I do not know.

Is there any information available regarding any upcoming refurbishing to Golden Princess in 2016 - 2017. Have read this in some recent reviews that this is happening but have been unable to find any confirmation. Maybe more info is available in your half of the world than ours down under.

Deck plans are changing on 2/10/2017. Dry dock I suspect.
