  1. So, I'll chime in now, 25 cruises, 22 with RCI. Giving Harmony one more chance in 3 weeks to improve. Our waiter and waitress were the best, they worked like a true team! I only wish the food was half as good, it wasn't! They have indeed cut down on the bread selection, and what they had could break your teeth. Room service is now lessened to where you will pay for anything you really want. I don't think this hybrid thing with Oasis class and Quantum class works for us, but we will give it another try. The ship is beautiful and high tech and has many positive features. I just think we prefer Allure, Oasis, and Independence OTS. Harmony does have the best casino we have seen on a ship also.

  2. It sounds like you are a prime candidate for being a cruise junkie! Great advise from Scrapnana, you can do as much or as little as you want. Don't plan every minute, some of the best times just happen. Don't worry about island fever as you are not there long enough, time goes to quick actually while cruising. If you can deep sea fish, you can cruise with ease. On board, check out the captains table one night where they serve wine with each serving,( we never did this, not into wine, but it's a food experience you might like). Bring small magnets, as the walls are metal and it will help organize paperwork. Beware, it's addicting [emoji106]

  3. Lobster was actually served on our 3 night Bahamas cruise. We did not feel the food was up to par with other RCI ships. We requested a table for 2 and got it, good luck with yours. We had early seating and were on deck 3, not sure about anytime. Some room service is free, but now they are charging for items that used to be free at a $3.00 per item fee. You can always order extra. It's a beautiful ship and you will enjoy it, but we prefer Allure and Oasis. Little things really, but subtle differences. You will have a great time, and we will certainly cruise her again.

  4. Our first several cruises were 3-4 nighters. Yes they were on older ships, but who knew, who cared? We thought they were wonderful. At first we weren't sure if/how much we would enjoy cruising, so they were good warm ups. We have of course moved to longer cruises as we really enjoy the experience. You are going to get very biased responses here because we all love to cruise. Having said all this, if you are not apprehensive about being on a ship, go for 7; if you are go for 3-4. There is definitely a different, more relaxed feel for a longer cruise.

  5. We book onboard also, use your RCI credit card, getting double the points and onboard credit, then you can pay the balance using a discover card getting 5% off ! Booking in advance gives us the room we want and something to look forward to...priceless. Receiving onboard credit is money in the bank.
