Thanking you in advance for all your help. It is truly appreciated.

On most ships the first thing we do is book our specialty dinners as soon as we board, we never have problems, and are our times are available

As per thread title can someone confirm how long it takes, research says 30 mins ,is this accurate? Cab ride or shuttles? Thanks

It says on Cruisett 2017 that the Norwegian Escape will be in St. Thomas on January 9, 2018 and January 10, 2018 in Road Town Tortola. I hope this is the case but wish they would send an Email showing the change in the itinerary.:D

Just got 2 rooms at the Riverside in Fort Lauderdale for $117 each (plus taxes which made it $142.76 each) for April 28, 2017 on Hotwire using better biddings assistant portion of their page :)
We got pretty well same deal thru priceline $116.00 for April 24th thru their express deal

Thanks Keith, we've been reluctant to use uber as well,we will at least download their app. Were still waiting for SAS to get back to us.

If you are thinkin,g of a speciality restaurant you can book them on line sometimes, If not its a good idea to book them 1st day on ship, some days and times can get very busy, and enjoy.Teppanki restaurant was amazing on the escape

First cruise 1998 on the RCCL Grandeur,West Carribean, we got hooked, took pictures of our waiter and assistant, had early dining, no anytime dining then,Careful of how many drinks we had, bought way too many photographs, but loved cruising and hooked since then,

There's a tiny blue line on the Embassy Suites reservation area that says "add special rate code" insert that number in the corporate account box.
You use google earth frequently. You can see how close all these hotels are to the Port. It's a very short cab ride. We had inquired about the shuttle but found it just wasn't worth it. We grabbed a cab at 10am, there was no traffic. I also stressed to the cab driver that I was fully aware how close we were to the Port and knew the fare should be very inexpensive. I'm a NYer who takes cabs very often. I told the driver don't try to take the scenic route:D In the end, he was very funny and got us there so fast.
We also took a cab from the airport to the hotel, I don't remember what it cost but it was reasonable. It wasn't a long ride.
Your itinerary looks amazing! I'm so looking forward to that trip report!
Hi goofygal531 thank you for the Embassy Suites code but when i enter it only allows me to imput the 6 numbers (056004) any suggestions thanks

You are better off looking under Ports of Call, at the individual port for specific information. Lots of info there.

My wife had a metal pin inserted in her shoulder many years ago when she was a teenager after a diving accident. It's only the last few years that the security checkpoint goes off.Maybe they turned the detection up a notch which were ok with. It still embarrasses her to patted down with the magicwand

I said maybe, there are lots of interesting people we Have met thru CC including our good friends from Boston who we are cruising with for the sixth time in 6 years. yet there are some annoying people who have taken over roll calls that i want nothing to do with. I would rather we make the decisions

I love this thread, made me laugh.. I will subscribe.
It is so sad that some guests will complain about everything, food room, service, weather etc... I've never had a bad cruise, when some one cooks cleans and entertains me for a week, I'm happy.
Constant complaints that I hear so much is (whey don't they serve cheeseburgers and fries in the MDR, there's so much foreign food on the menus)

Swizzle Inn
in Bermuda
Posted
We took the ferry to St. George, visited there and then took the bus to Crystal Caves, and then had late lunch and some rums at Swizzle Inn which is around the corner from the caves, Jumped on the bus back to Hamilton and ferry back to Kings Wharf. Loved the atmosphere of Swizzle inn and would love to see if my business card is still on the wall.
