If you go daily up to the cruise, you should be able to get a base tan. I just started this week for my cruise at the end of the month.

I really like Living Proof. I recently made the change. I used to not be able to use sulfate free shampoos, but this line doesn't give me the same issues. I can also 4 days between washes which is something I never used to be able to do.

Yes, you just close out your account the last night and you will get a cash refund.
Thanks! :)

We're thinking about using gift cards this time. If we don't spend everything, do we get a refund from guest services?

I will admit this - before my last cruise, I base tanned. I know, I know, very bad! I am an RN and I should know better! During the cruise, hubby and I applied store brand SPF 30 sunscreen lotion before going outside and reapplied 2 hours later. When in port, we reapplied with spray sunscreen to our bodies and lotion to the face (personal preference). Both of us are pasty pale and neither of us burned. I had one little spot that turned pinkish, but no burning.

As a cancer survivor, I beg everyone, please use sunblock (with a high SPF number, not a low number). Wear a hat, and drink lots of water.
The US no longer allows the words sunblock or waterproof. Only sunscreen and water resistant.

Nope. I don't care how trendy this is.

Which brand did you use? There are so many options on Amazon. I don't trust the posters with only 1 post.
Purely Inspired. I bought mine at Kroger. But I've heard you can buy it at Walmart and Target as well.

I was just at Old Navy yesterday and saw that! Walmart carries it as well.

I've been using it for about a week now and have lost 5lbs. I am taking it regularly as I work the night shift. But it does definitely suppress my appetite and curb my desire to just mindlessly snack.

I love ELF. I use the Studio line brushes. For $3, they have held up very well, rarely shed, and do exactly what I need them to do. The mascara primer is my absolute favorite product. It lengthens my lashes like no other product.

If your ship has a laundry room, I'd go with that. I found travel packs of Tide detergent that I brought with us, along with dryer sheets. I also brought travel packs of Shout for stains. Laundry was $3 per machine, but much cheaper than sending it out for service.

Before applying makeup, try using a green tinted foundation primer. Green counteracts redand helps to reduce the appearance of redness. I like ELF's green primer. It's $3, but works very well. L'oreal and Smashbox also make really good green primers.

I loved the Caribbean Iced Tea. Yum!

Great review! We were on the Magic in May and had the same route. I loved the ship. Loved Cayman the best, followed by Cozumel. Jamaica was just okay. Stingray City and the Coral Garden in Cayman were awesome!

Thanks for the review.
Now TEXAS will have my TWO Favorite ships....The Dream. The Freedom. Hopefully we will sail on The Freedom one last time before it leaves. We sailed the Dream two months ago.in .March.
Texas has the Magic, not the Dream.

Walmart has travel size Tide packets. I found them in the travel size toiletries area. I took a couple of those and dryer sheets with us for laundry.

I was on the Magic in May and absolutely loved it! I have not been on the Navigator. But I did want to say that the Magic is a beautiful ship, very fun, with a wonderful crew.

I used Amazon and bought an Ever Pretty brand dress. It was well made and very inexpensive...I was very shocked. I read the reviews for their dresses and they typically had great reviews.

We did Carnival's stingray and coral garden excursion in Grand CaymanI loved it! The tour company was wonderful...very personable, friendly, and informative. I was able to get it for $35pp with their price match guarantee.

$3.00 for each machine. The Magic takes quarters and has a change machine in their laundry room.

Yes you can! That's where I spent most of my time on my last cruise.

Fake eyelashes: Everyday now?
in Cruise Fashions & Beauty

You definitely will not look like a plain Jane! I think fake eyelashes can look beyond ridiculous. Some ladies can go overboard on the length. Eyelash extensions can look very pretty and natural if applied by the right professional. But fake eyelashes are the latest trend.
Another trend that annoys me is contouring. Don't get me a wrong - a subtle contour can be very pretty. But as with anything, some go crazy with the wrong colors, harsh lines, and drastic contour. Both eyelashes and strong contouring can easily make a woman like she is a drag queen.:cool:
