Well we disembarked Sunday morning. The chair situation was not nearly as bad as our 2 last cruises. Let's put it this way, we were able to get a chase almost everyday. The chair attendant by checking chairs and tagging them sent the word out from day one. I applaud their efforts. I thinks it's ridiculous sending one person down with 6-7 towels to save seats. It was a very plea sent experience and I hope it keeps getting better. The bottom line is, most people on a cruise want to be outside enjoying the weather. That's why I'm assuming people like ourselves cruise in cold winter months. Lol It would be nice to have a chair without arguing about or stressing over it. Common sense goes a long way with common courtesy. :)

I last cruised on Royal Caribbean and they had attendants clear the chairs every "hour". They were really diligent and did it way more frequently to the point of being annoying. Our chair got cleared more than once when we were actually there either in the pool or getting a drink at the bar.
But it's better than the alternative. I really hate people who reserve chairs like that. I plan to just remove the stuff and move the chair when we cruise in may/june. It's ridiculous to never ever have a seat and I refuse to walk up there at 7am with a stack of books.
Lol, this may not be perfect but we got a chair. I've heard some griping , but for the most part everyone's happy. We have two more days I'll keep you posted.

Update from ship ! Here it is , on the Breeze right now. Chairs get stickers put on them now. If your gone longer then 40 minutes your things get removed. There is a person with clip board walking around marking towels every 30-40 minutes. Great Job Carnival !

It's a vacation, not an exercise in Systems Management...
$total_passengers > $deck_chairs
Simple as that. FCFS.
Easy tiger, it was light hearted joking.

Simple solution would be to add numbers to chairs, and require people to reserve chairs with their room key. Reservation time would be limited to 2hrs or similar. If demand is low, and not one is on the wait list, you could extend your time. This way everyone gets to enjoy some time in the sun. It would improve pool experience for majority of guests.
Awesome awesome awesome IDEA ! You my friend are being promoted to Mgt.
Effective amediately ! 😃😃😃😃

I was on the Epic jan 4th and I didn't see a sign. And every chair was saved. The only day we got a chase at the main pool is when our excursion was cancelled and we stayed on board. Now I wasn't looking for a sign either there might be one. I know one thing we're getting ready to go on the Breeze February 28th and I'm not from Staten Island just a pilot farm boy from Ohio but I'm going to politely remove towels until someone says something. If they want to toss my 6'5" 265lb butt over board that's fine. I would like a chair. Happy sailing !

I just told my wife "remember when we just got a kick out taking pictures of Palm trees" never lose those small appreciative things. Every time I go on a cruise right around the last day there is someone being as loud as they can telling everyone they will never cruise bla bla bla again. Please don't ruin our trip because your miserable everywhere you go. Life short.

We just got off the Epic in early jan. The chairs all had towels and books on them early in the morning. It was only our 5th cruise I didn't realize this was a game. I did write Norwegian to come up with. Some idea to maybe tweet this. Chairs sat all day by the pool empty. Next time I'm going in . :)

All I can say is no matter what ship you cruise be prepared to wait a long while on tenders at the Cayman Islands. It's never been fun on any cruise ship I've been on. We just got off the epic jan
11th over two hour wait in the sun to get back on. Same thing last year with Carnival. Just a suggestion head back early.

Jerry ,
I want to thank you for such a nice response. It really helped me understand things
Much better. I'm not afraid to ask for advice if someone's more experienced.
Thanks again and take care.

I've been on the Epic three times, I found this site very helpful previous to my first trip. The itinerary has changed but of course the ship is the same.

Looks like it's still $59/pp for the week - at least as of this past summer. [emoji6]

I'm from a small town called Coldwater. If you follow High School sports we are in quite a few state games. We won state in football again this year.

Your ok, I didn't want to pry. I'm actually from a corn field in Ohio. And I'm sure there is some grazing going on near by. Not much of a blogger we just like to cruise.
