  1. Journey - Cabin 7097, never again..The actual cabin was fine, Akilesh and Harry looked after it very well however this cabin is opposite and between 2 crew service doors, these doors were opened and banged closed continually throughout the day and night leading to broken sleep, we were constantly waiting on the doors slamming..This is the worst we have ever experienced in all our years of cruising..Surely in this day and age soft closure can be installed..

  2. We are on the same itinerary and have just had our vaccination boosters for Hep A, Typhoid, Polio, Diphtheria and Tetnus, these have to be ordered and injections are given 6 weeks prior to departure, there is no requirement for Malaria tablets however we were reminded about using repellent for mosquitos..Incognito insect repellent and soap is what we will be using..Hope this helps..

  3. Hopefully they will receive positive feedback and continue with the 2 offerings..In addition it would be great if Azamara took note of all the guests who would like to see a prosecco included as well..

We cruised last year for the first time on Quest and found the wine selction a bit limited..We will be on Journey in September and I had started to look at the wine by the glass upgrade so that I had a bigger selection to choose from..With a cost of $29.95pp per day negates the AI aspect, but that is just my opinion..My husband on the other hand is happy with the included wines at diiner, his tipple is beer during the day but is also thinking of adding on the beer package as again the seletion is limited..

I realise it's impossible to keep everyone happy but why do Azamara not have a survey just to see what we would like and I'm sure guests would appreciate this..

  4. In June we will be sailing with Oceania for the 5th time, now I know we will be move from Blue to Bronze tier of the Oceania Club Levels..What I'm unsure of; is the $200 obc pp or per cabin? My husband and I are in the same tier so would have thought it is pp!!

If there is someone in the forum who has recently moved up to this tier and could clarify this for me it would be appreciated..

    Thanks in advance..:)

  5. Maybe you cannot purchase it online not sure

You could try a different browser sometimes that is the problem but if not just call O & book it that way

Lancer 1568. I have just purchased a beverage package for our cruise next week and the beverage package isn't available for purchase online you need to phone Oceania and pay with a debit or credit card..

If you have booked direct with Oceania you will receive an email confirmation direct, if you used a travel agent the confirmation will be sent to them and your travel agent will forward to you..

    Hope this helps..

  6. There is nothing "less than stellar" about the ships. They are in super condition. It will be nice to see the updates when they are completed, but I've been on many cruises on Journey and Quest, most recently last month and everything is just fine. I'm on Journey again in July, no concerns. I really hate reading this stuff because it just puts first time cruisers on Azamara in the wrong frame of mind before they even step on the ship.

We are cruising on Azamara (Quest) for the fisrt time at the end of September and at the time of booking wasn't aware that both ships were going into dry dock in 2016.. After reading some comments that the ship was in need of refurbishment I am starting to get worried that this is going to be a poor experience for us on ship that was not in good condition, especially with Azamara being a premium line..So I do agree with you that first time cruisers on Azamara may be getting an inaccurate impression of the ship and could be setting themselves up for a disappointment which isn't justified..

  7. This is the first time I have posted on a forum :) I believe the poster may have overlooked the fact that Ligurian, Baltic and Caribbean tier get to book cruises prior to general booking therefore have first choice of dining time and table size. This may account for the fact that tables for two are already booked first by higher tiers regardless of suite/cabin grade, if there are any tables for two left when the cruise is open to general booking these would be allocated on a first come basis and lets face it on the smaller P&O ships these are limited, on larger ships the tables for two can be too close to your fellow passengers'..On any cruise if you asked for a change to table size or indeed sitting it will not always be possible for the RM to do this immediately he/she needs to see if there are any no shows and the number of passengers who want to change their dinning arrangements and it could be a day or two later..I do not think the RM would lie to any passenger, what would be the gain..
