  1. Hello -

We are departing on Celebrity Equinox on 4-15-22.  Originally it was the ABC island and Grand Caymen.  GC on 4-17, Bonaire 4-19, Curacao 4-20 and Aruba 4-21.  Several months ago Celebrity dropped Bonaire and added an overnight in Curacao arriving on 4-19.   I was trying to book an excursion through a recommended local guide and he said he did not see Equinox on his port schedule to arrive in Curacao on April 19, only that it would be there on the 20th.  Sure enough, I checked the  port schedule and Equinox is planned to dock at 8:00 am on the 20th and it also shows there are not any ships arriving on the 19.  Out of curiosity I checked Bonaire on the 19th and the Equinox was still scheduled to port at 12:00 in Bonaire.

I was just wondering which is usually more accurate, the celebrity itinerary which is selling excursions in Curacao for the 19th and 20th of April, or the Individual Island Port schedules that show otherwise?

  2. Collins 9138 is right in that it was 4 weeks and 1 day.  I did call back and the new agent said that from everything he read it would qualify for the rebooking with price protection.  I hope I didn't just slit my throat but he said he had to send the new reservation over to the back end team and then I would receive  a new receipt with the price protection in 48 hours.  I told him I was afraid that the new cruise would show that I owe additional funds and he said I did not have to worry that our phone conversation was recorded in proof of his advisement.  I sure hope so because the new cruise shows I owe $9,000 more than my first cruise.  I'll guess I'll wait the 48 hours and see!  I'm scared.....

  3. I just receive an email that my equinox 9 night cruise in May 2021 was cancelled.  I was kind of expecting this but when I called to "lift and shift" to the following year, they would not honor the request.  They said I could either have the 7 night sailing on my original date (with NO refund for the lost 2 nights), or I could choose to go in September (Hurricane Season).  I am so disappointed that celebrity would not honor the lift and shift.  There is an exact identical cruise to this departing April 15, 2022, but they won't let me lift and shift to that one and there are no cruises scheduled as of yet for May 2022.  They also said I had to decide by December 8.  To make things even worse, I was refunded for this cruise the previous year and rebooked it for 2021.  They did not have lift an shift at that time.

    What should I do?
