  1. 6437 is on the opposite side of the ship from 6436 and right in the middle of a nice sized hallway. There are staterooms above you and Bonsai Sushi below. You'll be fine. Not a bad room at all. :) Check out the deck plans on Carnival's website, that's where I got this info. You'll be so close to everything on Deck 6, I'd keep that room.

Oh thank you so much for the info.....I will check out the deck plans...I shall keep the room thanks to you..:p Looking forward to this cruise....

  2. I read this: Cabin numbers from the middle of the ship to the aft of the ship (cabins 6284-6507) might have significant noise coming from the late night action below. Some of the worst cabins on the Carnival Breeze are on Upper Deck. If you are light sleeper, you may prefer a cabin elsewhere on the ship, or bring earplugs.

On the Breeze's Deck 6, cabins 6389, 6393, 6366, 6436 and 6467 are next to elevators and may be noisy.

Cabin 6338 overlooks a large whirlpool, which does generate some noise issues.

Oh great cabin 6437...My first cruise and the booking agent told me this room was far from the elevator & never said what was below my room....ugh..tried level7 but not luck:(

  3. was reading a couple of reviews & they said after the horror stories they read about deck 6 they switched well I'm booked in 6356. Anyone been on this deck that can shed some light on deck 6? Thanks

This is my first cruise and I am on Level 6 also....hope someone can fill us in on whats is sooooo bad about this level....

  4. Vidreamer- First, sorry to hear on the passing of your husband...2nd, it's GREAT you finally are taking a cruise AND you have a balcony..what ship will you be on?

Carnival Breeze April 20th. The girls are trying to plan a cruise to Europe in Sept/Oct and this was my chance to see if I would enjoy cruising:p The only balcony room I could find was on level 6 midship...The other couples booked in October last year (inside cabins) I wanted balcony:p Wish me luck..Thank you for your reply..

  5. Our first Carnival Cruise!!!

... lots of pros/ cons. I have cruised several times in my life as a child and started cruising as an adult 4 years ago (I'm 28 now). My favourite cruise line is Royal (but I am open minded and even tried NCL Epic 2 years ago... never again lol).

We made plans with another couple who has never cruised before (our ages FYI- I'm 28 everyone else are in their mid 30s). They initially wanted to do a 3 night sailing to 'get a taste' of cruising. Yet quickly realized that the best ships with all the bells and whistles tend to be the longer cruises and better ports. I was leaning towards the RCI Liberty 5 night sailing- but they insisted on Carnival with the attractive price. When Royal changed their smoking policies to restrict balcony smoking... hubby was all for it to try Carnival.

...and there are Carnival cruise was booked!

Bare with me ladies and gentleman I will be probably posting this review in parts. I have been a long time lurker but have yet to write a review but thought I should return the favour as these boards have been ever so helpful especially this time with it being my first Carnival cruise and I was really nervous about it.

quick question...what is wrong with deck6? this is my first cruise & I am on Deck 6...this was the only balcony room left mid-ship....please don't tell me I will hate my first cruise:(

  6. My husband and I are going on our 3rd cruise next month and we always have a balcony room. We love to watch sunrises and sunsets from our balcony and sit outside to enjoy those balmy Caribbean breezes! We are on NCL Sun for an 11 day Southern Caribbean cruise March 27,2014; we will celebrate our 50th anniversary while on our cruise!

Congrats on your 50th anniversary. I am taking my very first cruise in April to the Caribbean along with 2 couples. I am solo (widowed) so I booked a balcony for myself...yeah...I always wanted to cruise with my husband but he wasn't too thrilled with the idea..:( Next month would have been our 35th wedding anniv.)....I am sooo excited about the balcony...Enjoy your cruise..have a beautiful anniversary....P.S. We will be doing only a 6 day cruise..

  7. My DH and I sailed on the Carnival Breeze in October 2013. We were in cabin 6432 and it was the absolute worst cabin we have stayed in of all 15 of our cruises. We had a nasty sewer gas smell. Upon requesting a room inspection from the customer service desk, we were informed that no smell could be detected. It took three days of arguing with these people before they finally recognized the problem and moved us. Promises of discounts and reduced future fares, but all we received was $65 in credit. Not enough to ever return to Carnival. Will definitely stay with NCL.

oh no..doing my first cruise this April on the Breeze room 6437..I hope this doesn't happen to me. I am 60yrs old and have been looking forward to this trip for a long time..tell me I wont regret this cruise:eek: This was the only Level left for a balcony mid-ship...did you find out why the sewer smell?

  8. A tip for the future : Try & make sure you always have cabins above you AND below you to lessen to noise factor.. am a light sleeper ( unlike my wife who's one of "those" who sleeps anywhere, any place, any time- ugh!)...what ship are you going on?

    Big Al

Good Morning Big Al, Don't know if you remember me but I posted months ago about cabin selection for my first cruise....well I am going on my very first cruise Carnival Breeze in April...The 2 couples that invited me to go along had already planned their trips in November so I am trying to get my cabin (balcony) booked today...eckkss.. The other couples have booked inside but I want balcony (as you suggested earlier). I am solo and paying a bit more but for my first cruise I want to enjoy:p However being late in booking I can only get midship level 6...is that ok? The agent tried to get me on level 7 for my first cruise but all sold out....I am so excited but scared at the same time...I am a light sleeper so will pack a small fan....If this cruise goes well, they are planning a Medit cruise in October so this will be a test to see if I enjoy cruising....being 60yrs I need to start exploring:o..Thank you ever so much for all your post...after work today I will look over the post for more info....Have a great day....
  9. Dont forget to come back here and give us a review!! We sail Aug 16, 2014!!! And as I sit here in MN getting 8-12" if snow with 30+ mph winds I reeeaaallyy can't wait:O

Good Morning, Here in Iowa..freezing...I have a question please..help. Sailing the Breeze in April and this is my very first cruise..and I am age 60..I will be traveling with 2 couples but I will be solo..They booked inside but I want balcony only..so my question is where on the ship (front, mid, aft) and what level would be my best choice. I am a very light sleeper so please any suggestions would help. Hopefully if I enjoy this cruise I can look forward to many more....this is on my bucket list...I always wanted to sail with my husband but never got the chance...I am now widow & want to experience this..at least once.....Thank you...:o

  10. IMO, your friend is never in her cabin BECAUSE THERE'S NO REASON TO BE IN A BROOM CLOSET WHILE AT SEA!! As I have said, why would you want to be on a cruise at sea, if you cannot be a part of the sea, or see the sea? I, also, was NEVER in that mole of a cabin...why would anyone want to be in a small, dark, boring cabin? FYI: When I had an inside cabin, my wife & I DREADED going back in there..BUT, when we got our first balcony, we actually WALKED FAST to get inside and go out onto our "private little haven"..Would you book a room at a hotel that had no windows for your vacation? The kind of cabin you choose is directly related to how much you will enjoy your cruise... Your friend, as I said a few posts back, is one of those who HAS NEVER been in a balcony, so she doesn't know the AMAZING ADVENTURES YOU EXPERIENCE in a balcony cabin....what adventures do you get in an inside cabin? Claustrophobia? No sunshine? No amazing views of the sea? No seeing passing ships & islands go by? No breakfast on your private balcony? Read my first post that started this thread, then decide...once again, A BALCONY COMPLETELY ENHANCES YOUR CRUISE EXPERIENCE- an inside cabin completely shelters you from THE SEA...is that what you want? No sun, no light, no salt air, no wind, no waves & whitecaps, no idea what the weather is, no sipping a beverage on your verandah being mesmorized by the ocean wonders??? It's YOUR vacation- book what YOU want...take it from a guy who has done 29 cruises in all 4 catagories, inside, outside window, balcony & suite....BOOK a balcony!!!

    Big Al

P.S. Vldreamer- if you need advice on what line to choose or where to go, give a shout- I am also about your age...I would choose Royal Caribbean ( Freedom or Oasis class), Celebrity ( Solstice class) or Princess ( Grand class) for my first cruise..that's my opinion..try & choose newer, bigger ships...more to do, dine, more choices overall...

Big Al..Thanks again..:) Yes I get claustrophia..I thought that was part of the adventure to enjoy the sun, ocean, salt air, so it always confused me why she always get inside cabin..I guess to each his own. Thank you for the advise on the cruise line also..will let you know what I find. I think my first cruise will be in Sept or October so I can save enough money to get the best:o. P.S. I do like the idea of a casino on board...Thank You again

  11. THTALKS: tough to go back, huh? My first cruise was a window cabin on CCL Fantasy in '90..then another window on CCL Sensation, followed by that dreaded broom closet on the RCI Majesty Of The Seas in '96..then CCL Paradise another window...after we had our first balcony on the Grand Princess ( mini-suite upgrade, wonderful, w a butler!!) in 2000, we were also hooked!! 25 cruises later, still can't wait to go out there and be blown away by the sights, sounds & smells of the sea...

rugbyposie:I still say that a balcony cabin makes you feel more CONNECTED to your cruise...and 90-95% of those people who opt for the less $$ insides have NEVER tried a balcony cabin...like THTALKS, once you've been in one, you're hooked for life, IMO...Thanks, cruise ship balcony!

    Big Al

Hi Big Al, I am a newbie here and have never cruised in my 60 yrs...My friend at work cruises twice a year and always gets an inside cabin. She says the same thing "We are never in our room"...I am looking into a cruise, solo, being a widow and she is trying to help me plan my adventure..I keep telling her that I do not want an inside cabin I want a balcony so I can enjoy the oceanview. She thinks I am crazy for spending the extra money:eek: So I joined this website trying to get ideas on planning this new experience by myself. So much info here hard to figure out what cruiseline to choose but will continue searching and thank you for post on the balcony cabins......
