We are a family of 6. 2 adults and 4 kids under 10. It normally takes us 1.5 hours. The only times it has been less is when we tell the servers upfront we would like a fast dinner and they have no problem getting us out in 60min. We have taken 2 hours before but it's because we had no where to go and we were having a great time at Dinner.

We did west Caribbean: Coco Cay, Montego Bay, Georgetown and Cozumel. It was not rough seas at all but this cabin is upfront and somewhat high up so we did feel the ship moving. My wife gets seas sick and she did not feel bad once.

We stayed in 8500 on Freedom of the seas New Years Cruise. At the end of the cruise I went into 8200 and looked around to compare it to 8500. 8200 is a great choice. In my opinion it is the best of the Family Ocean View Staterooms. The forward view is real unique and neat to see where you are going.
The only thing is you have to mentally prepare yourself that you will be very far from the venues in the back of the ship because she is such a long ship. The excesses is good but try not to forget anything because it is a bit of a walk back.
You will absolutely love this cabin. Feel free to ask me any specific questions

Looking forward to your Review. We were on with you and had a great cruise!

I think it is interesting that they skipped legends which is older than splendor. I figured they would sell in order of age. Legend must have something worth hanging on to a bit longer. We are sailing on her in 17 days.

Thank you so much for the dropbox link! It worked great. Do you recall how much the unlimited internet was and if they offered a discount? We are doing this cruise on Friday!!!:)

We have not sailed yet. We are Cruising 3/20/15. Others on this Thread have though and can hopefuly answer your question.

We're just back from this cruise, but my scanner won't cooperate. Sorry.
But I did want to tell you it was about the best trip we've had. Loved the convenience of the smaller ship, it was beyond immaculate, and I think the food was several notches above that of the larger ships. Since we live so close to NYC and Broadway, we're not generally impressed by the cruise shows, but the dancers and production numbers were very good. And the aerial show was terrific.
I'm sure you'll have a great trip.
Great to hear such positive comments about he ship and crew. Can't wait to experience the same when we go. Thank you for writing back. We did manage to get the compass from somebody so no worries we have plenty to read between now and our sail date

A6Cruiser, would you post them or e-mail them to me when you receive? tomsharon@comcast.net ;)
Let me know if the link I posted above works or not

I just sent them in several emails. Sorry, anything too large wouldn't send.
Have a blast!
Got them all Thank you
For others looking for this here is a link that hopefully will post here

So, posting the compasses isn't working out so well for me.
I have them all scanned. If you want to provide an email address I can send them.
Or I case it does not let it post

Thanks a million

Thank you! Great to hear positive things about the Legend of the Seas and your cruise! Thank you

Sailing this week. I'll check back. If compasses are not provided by then, I'll try to post.
How was your cruise?

Go with the 2 rooms.
We are a family of 6 2 adults and 4 kids 10 and under and we stayed in 8500 on FOS. Great cabin and it was cheaper than 2 connecting which is why we opted for that then.
If they were priced the same we would have done 2 connecting for the extra bathroom.

Awesome! Thank you and have a great trip!

I am wanting to get the cheapest price for a Royal Caribbean Western Caribbean Cruise out of Galveston. My sister and I are both Gold members. When would be the best time to buy a cruise for next March?
Any information is welcome! :)
The best time to book is as soon as you know you want to go. As said by other posters here if the price goes down before final payment you can re-book but if it goes up you are locked in at the current price.

Hi A6cruiser. I'm on this sailing as well. For a few questions I had I've emailed the CL on board, as well as a couple of cruise buddies who I know have sailed Legend.
Have you joined the rollcall?
Any specific questions you have... I may have gotten them and I can share :)
We have no specific questions just like to read the Cruise Compass ahead of the cruise from a similar sailing to get even more excited about sailing.
We are on the Roll call and in the meet and Mingle. Can't wait to sail.

1) great entertainment!
2) room service menu needs improvement IMO compared to Carnival and Disney.

Thank you for your pictures and review. We sail on her in March and are enjoying seeing some current post about her and your experience.

Mrobertson,
Sorry to hear that trip was so bad. RCCL should give you a discount at least on a future booking.

It looks like they are from the same shaft just facing different direction s on the dock. I could be off on that but take a look.
