  1. Howdy Celebrity cruisers we’re shortly on a 14 day cruise from Singapore and the WIFI prices are exorbitant but I do need it for my business. Now I know they discount specialty restaurants on board but can I get a better deal on WIFI once on board? Cheers Rob
  2. I didn't think Celebrity did the beverage package perks on the repositioning cruises to and from Australia. Good to know they do.
  3. OK, so here's my dilemma. We've booked a Celebrity cruise with the perks (drink package, OBC, grats) through an Australian bricks and mortar TA. I've noticed that the fares on this cruise have been dropping significantly. So I rang our TA to see if we can access the lower fares without sacrificing our perks. She advised me that the only way to do it is to effectively cancel the original booking (and may forfeit our deposit) and re-book at the new fare which is of course without the perks so we would have to add/pay for them. She said they can't 'refare' and existing booking. Meanwhile, I have a friend who is sailing on a Celebrity cruise (Australia & NZ) and he booked with an online US based TA (whose name sounds a lot like 'holidays2go') and he noticed a price drop on his cruise whereby a balcony cabin was now cheaper than the oceanview he originally booked. He was able to keep all his perks and upgrade to the balcony cabin at the now cheaper fare. So what's the deal - is this an issue just for us in Australia that we can't access the lower fares after booking? Or conversely is the ability to do so limited to US TA? Or am i missing something completely and there is a way to refare to the lower prices? Thanks in advance Rob
  4. Hi, we're on Millennium out of Singapore in January. One of the ports is Manila Philippines. There's a shore excursion called "enchanting hidden valley tour" - it's an 8 hour tour and cost $192AUD. There's no detail provided as to what's included other than the following overview:- Your tour starts with the scenic countryside drive to the town of Alaminos, Laguna. Hidden Valley is located between two mythical mountains - Mt. Makiling and Banahaw. Has anyone done this tour or can provide any more detail? Thanks Rob
  5. Thank you Supersaramoon. We enjoy a beverage or three and like you we won't cruise without a beverage package now. We're a group of 4 who've cruised on Solstice a couple of times and have our next cruise on Millennium out of Singapore in January. Of course we got the classic package as a perk and will be upgrading to the premium - i mean ... why wouldn't you? The document you provided is now an 'essential' for our cruise - much like a passport.
  6. Thanks Leigh, yes you are correct - we are on the 18/01/20 cruise on Celebrity Millennium out of Singapore and we arrive at Phu My on Thursday 30th January. Thanks for the info. Rob
  7. Thanks Mic but no ship tours to Ho Chi Minh City. The only ships tours offered at the port of Phy My are local to Vung Tau. So for us to do HCMC it will be a private tour.
  8. Hello All, we're on Millennium in January and we stop at Phu My which is about 80km/50miles from Ho Chi Minh. For anyone who has done it, would you recommend an excursion to Ho Chi Minh for the day where you might only get about 4 hours on the ground before having to return to the ship? Or is it just not worth it given the time spent travelling to and from and possible stress of missing the departure? Thanks

  10. We did the top end cruise on Solstice in 2015 which stopped at Yorkey's Knob. It was a funny/odd port stop in that the scheduled time of arrival there was 12 noon with an 8pm departure that evening. The first to disembark was anybody booked on a Celebrity tour - some jumped straight on catamarans and headed to the reef. It was quite choppy so tendering was delayed/suspended a couple of times. I reckon it was about 3pm before we made it to land. As per your post, yes you are correct that the tender trip took about 30mins and the bus ride into Cairns itself about 30mins. Because of the delay tendering, most if not all other non Celebrity booked excursions were missed/cancelled. Some very unhappy international passengers as a trip to the reef was to be the highlight of the cruise. Even many of those with land based (non celebrity) booked tours missed out. Tendering back was interesting too as the later the day went the worse the seas became. It was a rough trip back to the ship for some. My recommendation for anyone stopping at this port is to book a cruise ship excursion.
  11. Howdy Cruisers. We're on Millennium soon and I love my beer - good craft beer that is. I'm wondering can any like minded individuals who have cruised recently on Millennium give me some insight as to what I can expect and the best locations on the ship to find the hoppy nectar? Looking forward to the feedback - thanks in advance.
  12. Thanks Jelayn and Luvcrusn - problem solved thanks to your advice.
  13. Could you please add Team Alpha - 18th January 2020 Singapore to Singapore 14 nights Asia cruise on Celebrity Millenium
  14. G'day cruisers, we haven't cruised with Celebrity for a cpl of years but have just booked our next Celebrity cruise via a TA. So I've gone to the Celebrity website to login and check our shore excursions etc. I've been trying to login for a few days but keep getting this message 'We've got your info. However, we're unable to bring up your account right now, so please try again later.' Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? Cheers
  15. Howdy cruisers, we've booked a cruise on Millennium and I'm interested to know which of the stops on the itinerary the ship docks at and which are tender ports and also how far the port may be from the listed destination. is this sort of info readily available somewhere or can anyone who has sailed on Millennium to the following ports let me know? Thanks in advance Kota Kinabalu Malaysia Boracay Philippines Manila Philippines Hong Kong Nha Trang Vietnam Ho Chi Minh Vietnam (it says Phu My which I understand is about 2.5hrs from HCM)
