  1. Sorry for delay. It was rich and he was fun as a compere, no doubt about it. It was just everything else lacked lustre, it was a sleepy cruise with early nights and a heavy music based entertainment that I felt just did not work with my group.

I love a good abba night and 80’s and these were two of the better nights.

Maybe it was timing maybe it was my expectations or perhaps it was just me. Honestly tho, everything wasn’t on point for This sailing. I feel perhaps I wasn’t on the right ship for entertainment as I could not say enough about RCCL liberty western med may 2014

Anyway I’m preparing my review of this cruise and will post it soon.

  2. Im just off this cruise. I’m so glad I took your advice. I planned my days not my evening entertainment.

I have to say the entertainment on this reflections Greek island ship was so disappointing. They didn’t even have a residents DJ.

The only good night they had was abba night having said that, it was hardly an abba night (pre recorded music) and even then they shut it down SO FAST after the designated time everyone left and went to bed even tho the crowd wanted more. The guys hosting events just didn’t feel their crowd on every event on this cruise.

The only other fun event was frisky fued. Other than that, I would hands down say to the cruise director. This was just such bad planning on every level of entertainment. It was like you intended for everyone to be in bed by 1230 every night.

So so so very disappointed on every single level. Who does karaoke at 8.15 ? Its dinner time and one needs a good few drinks to do karaoke. The trivia’s were so boring and timed so poorly.

We did a Royal carribeean liberty of the seas “Western Europe” last time and had such an amazing selection of entertainment with bars and a casino that actually stayed open late.

Drinks: do they water down their drinks or have lover volume alcohol customised for cruising. The waiters free pour like there is a bottomless pit of booze available. Your drink looks like it has so much alcohol yet it doesn’t hit you

I’m a girl who can drink 6 grey goose vodkas and yes I know I’m a little drunk. I drank grey goose all night on this ship and I was no where my normal levels of intoxication.

Does the cruise ship have bottles customised with lower alcohol volume ?

I would never do a celebrity cruise again to be honest. It was all to sleepy for my liking and geared towards a very older crowd. I’m not young at 51 but this was certainly geared toward 70 plus people. It lacked atmosphere and that I put down to the lack of fun entertainment. Nothing to keep the people going and muic that made u want to sleep .

Plan you day tours based upon your ports and forget whats going on aboard the ship during port times.

There is no piano bar on Reflection that I am aware of. Expect shows of some sort every night. When you're on the ship you can expect Bingo, parties, tours, lots of eating opportunities, sports, cards, swimming, pool games, drinking, "art auctions", gambling, trivia, bands, lawn games, movies, port talks, dancing and other activities sprinkled throughout your day.

You'll have ample opportunity to schedule your day on board the ship when you receive the next day's calendar in your cabin each night.

  3. i have thanks so . much .

If you download the Celebrity App on to your phone you can bring up your cruise. Just select the Reflection and the 18th. Mine shows the following:

    Anthony Scott - Celebrity Showtime

    Broken Strings - Celebrity Showtime

    Chris Caress - Reflection Theater

    Claire Maidin - Reflection Theater

Just John and Paul - Reflection Theater

    Peter Grant - Showtime

    Rob Lewis - Celebrity Theater

"Euphoria" by Les Farfadias - Reflection theater

    Fusion Quartet - Midship

    Broadway Cabaret - Theater

    Jazz Fusion - Ensemble lounche

The app will give you the days and times and location of these performers as well as the movies that are shown.

  4. hi guys, my sister and i are traveling with our hubbys in two different cabins and we needed info on drinks .

we are thinking we would like to upgrade my drinks package and wanted to ask a few question so my sister and i understand the difference in packages .

1:. if you up grade to from classic to premium, is it for everyone in the cabin or can just one person upgrade.

2; also the classic package doesnt offer champagne, does it offer prosecco

3; What champagne do they offer in the premium package. Verve??? or do we pay more for that. whats the house bubbles on premium .

4; if for example we stay on classic, do we have to pay full price for the champagne or just a small difference .

  5. many thanks

  6. thanks so much

    appreciate it

You’re welcome. You should be able to download any of the Dailies photos if you click them.I know you can do that with the app. I’m sorry but I don’t have time to email them all.

For the beverage package it’s a lot easier to just upgrade your package. You can alsopay the price difference per drink to get the Martini Bar drinks. You need to just price it out and make a comparison as to what you think is best for you. There are threads on here that list all the drink prices and beverage package pricing so you can calculate.

I’ve never used the gym so don’t know about any programs. Sorry. And we haven’t done any shows this cruise.

  7. [how much was the driver for the whole day quote=WonderMan3;55987965]Hello all. I am struggling a bit to keep this a truly LIVE blog as we have just been so busy having fun! So we are LIVE with a one day delay. [emoji1]

Anyway, on Wednesday morning we woke up early at 6:15am as we had to meet our guide for the day at 8:30 and we wanted to eat breakfast first. We went up to Oceanview since Luminae didn’t open until 7:30. On our way to breakfast we ran into the Suites Manager Sylvia just outside our cabin. We caught her eye and asked her if she remembered us from our Eclipse cruise with her last year when she was Michael’s Club concierge. She said she remembered our names when she saw them on the Suites passenger list but she couldn’t place our faces (understandable with all the guests she has met since January 2017). She told us she is only on Reflection as a fill in while the normal Suites Manager is on vacation. She got on for the Transatlantic so this was her second Reflection cruise. Her normal ship is Solstice where she is also Suites Manager. We gave her positive feedback on our butler which she appreciated and she asked if we would be attending the helipad sailaway that afternoon (This was our second helipad sailaway invite for this cruise). We told her we would see how we felt after our day of touring.

At Oceanview, I enjoyed my favorite Eggs Benedict with some bacon, corned beef hash, potatoes and hash browns. Mike had his standard scrambled eggs and bacon.

After breakfast we went back to the cabin to gather our stuff for the day and were off the ship by 8:20. The tour guides are allowed to enter into the dock at this port so it was just a short walk from the gangway to meet our driver guide. I booked through Rhodes Taxi and Limo Service. I had arranged everything through the owner?manager? Nicholas who was on the pier along with his guides. He introduced himself and our driver guide for the day Dominic. Will share our activities for the day in my next post.4950b3c2069f207f64e9404683f301ed.jpg7430194eb1d9085e25f11efe435aa5de.jpg

  8. We are on this cruise 18 th May. Thankyou so so much for a wonderful timeline of your days events and trips. Especially the daily cruise sheet. (Wondering if I could be cheeky to ask. I would love if You could scan each day sheet with your phone and email to me if that wouldn’t be too much trouble.

Ita been amazing cruising with you. You are a fun couple.

Also wondering. We are on a classics drink package. Do u think we need to upgrade to enjoy the matini bar drinks or would we be ok in the martini bar on classic package.

Are there many gym classes to attend and if so is ther any informon the classes so I can pre plan ?

    How are the shows.

Many many thanks again your reviews are awesome.

After our day exploring Rhodes we relaxed for awhile in our cabin. I popped up to the Pool Bar to get a Pina Colada as I was pretty hot after our walk through the Old City back to the ship. We enjoyed some of the treats we had accumulated on the islands like baklava. Dinner was at 7:30 at Luminae again. We started with a special chef’s treat of a stuffed cucumber. We followed with the Corn Soup as an appetizer. For the entree Mike had the Roasted Pork Tenderloin which he said was excellent while I had the Bacon Wrapped Trout which was just okay; tender but could’ve used a bit more flavor. For dessert Mike chose the flaming Chocolate Sphere while I had them bring me some gelato with caramel sauce.07834208061d44a2c47f11722d1b7619.jpgd60a7e5ba8d2d3ebfad2951aaf489375.jpg87c1dc559c117ae9fc0829bc7cb3e726.jpg215db27a9f02d9b6534bc8097b99e0ac.jpg90723e78a6eefa14e00719471236754a.jpg

  9. DINING We are travelling on the REflection Greek island in a few weeks. Dinner set times 6pm and 830pm. Can anyone tell me if this is al a carte and if so whats the version of Chic dress. I mean how formal is it. Does the cruise have a Captains dinner and is that a Suit and tie event When we travelled Royal Carribean, we had set dining and we had a very nice mix on our table of ten. The food was Al a carte so just wondering if its the same

    ENTERTAINMENT

Can any one tell me specifically which shows/productions are currently on for the italy and greek island 2018 Reflection cruise. many thanks

  10. Thanks a great review. Do u know by any chance what shows are in this ship and if they have any special themes like 70’s or 80’s night. How was the dress code for dinner and how many formal Nights. F

Did u get a random table for dinner or the same people every night. Also how many bottles of duty frrre are we allowed to take (we are on a package anyway but for room service I found it so slow, may be good to bring one) is there a a good selection of gym classes also. Many thanks. quote=Georgeven;54070270]We´re a gay couple (around our 40´s) from Norway and this was our 17th cruise and the third with Celebrity. We booked this cruise in the previous sailing with Celebrity midt 2016. Basically because we wanted to experience the Solstice class again and we love the ports of call in Greece and is a short flight within Europe.

PRE-CRUISE: We decided to stay 5 days in Rome as a mini pre-cruise vacation. We decided to stay at MyApARTsuite apartments in Trastevere area. Out of the touristy areas but close to the Tram #8 that can take you to the center in just minutes. We experience the side of Rome without the big tourist attractions (that we already have seen) and enjoyed a lot of the city hidden gems. We used Rome Shuttle Limousine from the Airport to Rome (5o euros) and from Rome to the Port (110 euros) and it worked perfect

EMBARKATION: It was OK. worked fast and in less than 10 minutes we were checked inn. Once checked inn everybody had to wait since it was raining like a tropical storm with thunder and lightning and it was not safe to walk to the ship, Once the thunder and lightning stopped those who wanted to walk under the rain received an umbrella to do so.

SHIP: Reflection is an amazing ship. Beautiful layout, public areas, lots of space even with a full sailing, it never felt crowded. It was extremely clean and spotless everywhere around the ship. Pooldeck was great and loved the solarium. In general I would say that this ship is now in our top three favorites.

CABIN: we booked a Guarantee Sky Suite and were assigned the cabin 2192 (an Accessible Cabin) in deck 12. We were more than happy with this cabin, it´s bigger than the normal Sky Suites maybe a little bit of less closet space but it worked well for us. The Balcony was just amazing, we loved the extra space in the balcony, the full size table and the extra shadow provided in this deck. The bathroom is also bigger than normal bathrooms and doesn´t have a bathtub but the shower makes for it. Given its location under the Ocean View Cafe sometimes you could hear a little bit of noise, like a rolling something but it wasn´t really a problem, you get use to it and does not disturb at all.

SUITE CLASS PERKS: Once we checked inn, we met Manuela (one of the Michaels Club concierge) who informed us briefly about the situation with the rain and the wait. Michaels Club concierges: Manuela and Adriana, were amazing hostesses and they made us feel like at home since we met them there. The rest of the staff there were also great and just after couple of visits they learnt our preferred drinks. It was great to have a place where you could relax and find assistance (if needed). Our Butler, Sever; introduced himself just shortly after we were in the suite and was of great assistance during the week for the thing we requested (like the morning coffees and room service couple of times). Also our Stateroom Attendant (Andhika) was great and kept our room spotless during the length of the cruise. Luminae will be commented under Dining. We think is worth to pay the extra for the Sky Suite and the perks that come along, would we book it again?, Yes… if the price range / Value is Ok for us. We also had the Premium Drinking Package, that we used a lot for drinks, coffees and Vitamin Waters / Arizona iced teas.

DINING: as part of the Suite perks, we had access to Luminae as our main restaurant for dinner and breakfast everyday and lunch on embarkation and sea days. In general we loved Luminae, the dinner menu changes everyday and for some it could be very limited but we loved it. We noticed that a lot of guest asked for the main dining room menu and order form there. We just asked once for the onion soup from the main dining room (that we love ) and we got it. The staff made its best to make us feel welcome and at home (Katja, Vishal and the rest of the waiters and the Sommelier). Ocean View Cafe: Very good and varied selection for lunch (when we were there), good quality and tastes, also good service from the waiters. We bought a 3 dinners package fot the specialty restaurants and this how it went down: Qsine: Very nice concept and food, the portions are just huge, too much food for our taste; we felt the concept should be explained better so you know how much food to order. The Lawn Grill Club: Grill steakhouse, outdoor, dining al fresco, extremely good food and wine to pair. Amazing. Murano: it was like a dinner symphony, everything was just perfect and coordinated in terms of service and food taste / quality. We also decided to try the «special event» Thaj Mahjal dinner, and Indian dinner with an additional cost of 49$, this was hosted in Qsine; we felt the food was very good, the portions very small and there was a lack of story / presentation behind the dinner; for us it was not worthy of the extra cost. The Indian food in the buffet tasted as good and better than the special event dinner food.

BARS: as said, we had the premium drinking package as part of our suite perks and booking promotion, we had the same package before and we fount it is still worth it. In general we found the service around all bars to be good with no long waiting. Al baccio Cafe, was great all time for our coffee or tea fix with small desserts. Martini Bar was entertain ing as usual but crowded most of the time. Pool Bar was great, Our favourite spot was the World Bar: very interesting drinks and best service on board (thanks Lazar and Aleksandr)

ENTERTAINMENT: for our taste this was a rollercoaster, some shows we loved it (broken strings), others didn´t make so much sense (elysium and Max); having said that we think the singers (all of them) were some of the most talented we´ve ever seen on a cruise. The guest entertainers were also a mixed thing, we loved the classical strings duo; the girls make a great job and love how they talk a little about each piece and some stories related to these. Damian, the Cruise Director, was OK; Giuseppe and Kathe were very funny and friendly and Charlotte, the activity manager, was GREAT…. I just loved her… she would make an amazing Cruise Director. Not to miss: The silent party, just so much fun….

SERVICE: I would say the service all around the ship was great… nothing to complain, even if you can feel that it´s not the same as it was back just few years ago, the reflection staff makes sure you have an amazing holiday.

SHORE EXCURSIONS DESK: we didn´t use this so will not comment on that.

FUTURE CRUISES OFFICE: they did their job and we booked two future cruises with very good deals and promos

SHOPPING: good selection for shopping, foe some it could be discouraging the fact that the itinerary is not DUTY FREE, but if you buy over 199$ (per day) you can get the tax refunded and they assist you with that. It worked perfectly for us and we just delivered the forms we got at the airport and got our taxes back (if you live outside the EU)

POST CRUISE INFO: We used Rome Shuttle Limousine from the port to the Airport and it worked perfect; 110 Euros for 2 persons private transfer.

If you have sone questions, just ask and I will try to answer...

  11. Can anyone tell me what is the Cruise entertainment for this cruise ship on this run. Who is the performer in the piano bar and exactly what is the show schedule timings etc. /What nights are KAraoke and what nights are bingo when is jazz night when is music trivia night in the pub. /A schedule of events would be great so we can plan ahead our day tours Its not really very clear on the celebrity pages ????

    Many thanks in advance

  12. Thanks all, for your help and advice.

    questions answered.

We booked today may 18th Italy and greek islands reflection 2018.amazing deal with free classic drinks and half price second guest so it was fantastic value for a lower priced balcony.

    We got 6158 and 6157

so my sister did not want 6155 with an adjoining room, she preferred other side of the hallway since we will be together everyday. lol

We are really happy with these and hopefully the smoke wont worry me to much

  13. We were in 6157 as a gty on the Silhouette. Loved the cabin. Great location, large cabin with very large veranda. Take it.

we are two sisters and we booked 6157 and 6158 ( same location just oppositeeach other ) both the same cabin size.

could u tell me (is this a hall that divides the two sides or are they interior cabins????? like can I open my door and see my sisters roomin 6158 from my room in 6157. do u have any picture of 6157 and is this the smoking side ???

6155 was available but my sister felt that's too close for comfort, however they can take down the screen on the balcony so u can all sit together in the evening. on 6155 and 6158

    many thanks

we feel like we got the jackpot on the lower priced cabins on reflection excited

  15. We are going on Italy and greek islands. UK site offered free Classic drinks and 2 person 50% off on Ocean view or above Amazing offer really.

    one question;

can we upgrade to the full premium as we like the top shelf vodka etc and if so is it better to do it at sea to avoid addition VAT in Rome

Also tips are included in drinks package i presume and we are paying up from gratuities. would there be any additional costs to upgrade ??

    Many thanks

  16. hi all,

We are looking at REFLECTION cabins 6158/56 or 6155/57. deck 6 2c category.

after much research it appears these cabins have slight larger balconies (we will not be in to room much i know) but given the other options, these are mid ship and reviews were great. obstruction is not too bad either.

Which number 6158 or 6157 is port side, which i believe has the smokers area below. (does the smoke really bother the room guests anyways. many thanks ...

  17. hi, guys, we are looking at celebrity reflection

we have options of angled cabin 6158 or 6156

    or 6155 or 6157

when u mean port side, which of the rooms above are port side above the smokers area??? . one other question are the lift noise an issue on these four room selections

    many thanks
