  1. I have it down pat. Last year I took with me 12 chiffon or silk kaftans. Some I wore by the pool with a matchin head scarf and then in the evening I wore a silk dressier style version f dinner. Incredible n matched. I took a small plastic pool bag. One evening cross over hand bag which I never used. A slip for my pyjamas which double as a kaftan lining f evenings. Trainers and two gym tops, one pair of heels two bikinis a pool sarong dress that acts as a towel. Various hair flower to match my plain kaftans and head bands. Two pairs of neon bubble pool slippers. (These kaftans not even 200 GM in weight so imagine my case was empty.) I bring two light pair of yoga pants for walking tours (and gym use) because it gets so hot if ur not 16 n don't have a"thigh gap" sweat gives u a rash lol. Gosh my case was less than 10 kg. I sell the kaftans now as I make them myself. Because every day I wore one I had 50 women trying to rip it off me. Seriously comfortable cruise clothing. Hope that helps

  2. I took a photo for you yesterday of 8321. You can email me and I'll send u a picture from the hall what it looks like. It's a service area. We were in 8275 right next to the same service area just a little down the hall. If our service are is anything to go by, it was not at all noisy, we heard nothing at all. I can't tell you enough how amazing this cruise was..AWESOME. DONT forget to visit Dave Curtis in the piano bar and whatever you do don't miss the Saturday night fever. Your not far from the lift either. Actually from one lift to the other is not even a 2 minute walk...... Ps. The promenade view was nice, it gave us a window and a feeling of not being closed in.... Make sure you close the block out curtains though, opposite side get a full view with the sheer curtains. Oops.... Lol

  3. Could someone kindly tell me..... can we bring our on hairdryers, hair irons are we allowed to use in the cabins????? RCCL liberty is the ship we are on and extra electrical sockets for multi use iPhone, iPad laptop can we bring a extension or is this a silly request

  4. Could someone kindly tell me how cold it is in the ship in the evening?? Just strolling around the promenade or the sitting by the pool bar. do we need a jacket in the first week of June? Is beach wear attire, i.e. a maxi dress/ sun dress ok for most days thanks in advance. then in the port, the weather is it chilly this time of the year thanks

  5. This is our first cruise and was hoping could someone kindly tell me

1: what is the standard measure for drinks poured for each spirit you order? In Australia its generally 30ml of booze per drink. I believe a standard drink in America is 60 ml nip.

2: on the pay as you go is cappuccino coffee free or is that a specialty coffee. Do we get free water in the room in the way of a bottle or is it from a tap ??? Does the MDR have a barista making cappuccinos or is it a machine.

3: in the bar, if you are on a beverage package, would the soda mix be from a post mix tap or is it in a can? if its from a can, would we have to pay extra for this? many thanks

4: Why is meet and mingle not available for my cruise liberty of the seas 29th may Western med? it just shows up not available.

5: are there singles nights? it would be really nice to share some time with other single people

we are just trying to figure out if buying a drinks package, will it be better for us. We have 2 full days on the ship out of 7

    many thanks in advance

  6. Can someone tell me, when ordering drinks either a package or non package on i.e. vodka, is post mix( from a tap) used or is a can used as a mix. Also if we pay the gratuity with the cruise price as i have done, do we pay extra gratuity for the drinks???

  7. thanks a lot for your replies, we booked RCCL

Celebrity is more 'subdued'. There are bars and lounges open at night. There is live music. There are late night comedians. The primary difference is that Celebrity ships don't have mini golf, or Flow Riders, or skating rinks or late night scavenger hunts. There are probably more people dancing on Royal Caribbean cruises - but part of that will be because the RCCI cruise is SHORTER. You'll GENERALLY find more older people on longer cruises because they aren't as limited by vacation allotment. But you will find more children/teens on the RCCI cruise.

You should check out the Roll Calls here for both cruises you are looking at. Some of those on the cruises you are looking at may have been on the route & ship before & can give you guidance.

We sail both but at this point in life I prefer a couple of Martinis and some good music (the martini bar is generally PACKED) so Celebrity is generally our choice.

  8. we are two sisters travelling, 40 and 45 one single and crazy fun who lives in the middle east, the other married and nearly crazy fun from Australia who recently had Breast cancer, with a double mastectomy. I am taking her on this trip to make her feel alive again, see the world and enjoy, so your help is much appreciated.

Originally we decided on RCCL May 29th Western Europe 7 nights

now contemplating CC Sillouette Adriatic 29th May 12 nights

Firstly, we have a wedding in Lake Guarda, on 24th May, then we were going to bus our way down to rome visiting a few nice italian cities on the way to meet our RCCL 7 night cruise western Europe dep May 29. then I just saw CC Adriatic which is 12 nights and covers many more ports/cities which could work out well for us instead of busing/training it.

However, we want to have fun at night, dance away to 70 and 80's or sweet jazz, and perhaps wine tasting and fine dining with but not necessarily be in bed by 11pm every night. We wanna drink and have fun, see many places and be entertained by good cruise entertainment and GOOD FUN PEOPLE. The day trips will be taxing of our energy, but having fun is a huge priority, Shopping and lots of kids is not so much of interest to us. Celebrity Cruise looks quieter and a more mature refined crowd. Am i right to assume this? What evening activities are on board the ship and where do i find them in searches. thanks in advance, we are so excited to be 1st time cruisers
