Thank you all! That's what I needed to know. I'll bring cash too just in case. Just want to make sure they are tipped 🙂

Hi All!
Sorry if this has been asked already, but I didn't see anything on it.
The DH and I like to enjoy breakfast in our room during sea days. It has been a while since we cruised, so I am hoping someone can help with this question.
When you order room service, do they add a gratuity or should I bring cash to tip the steward who brings it?
Thanks!

We might be talking about two different things.
I was referring to the part of the check-in that asked the method and time of arrival to the port and departure from the port.
I'm not referring to picking a check-in time.
Ah! My mistake.
Carry on 🙂 lol

Yep, that stuff was removed a while back.
I actually had this at my 90 day check-in for our upcoming cruise. So, perhaps it's per itinerary?

I would not bid on a spacious balcony.
The JS is a bit steep for us for a 5-night cruise.
Thanks! I thought so too. Wasn't sure though since its our first RCL cruise since they put the RoyalUp program in place. We will probably just stay put.

Ship, number of nights, time of year?
Oh, sorry! Forgot that part.
Anthem in the fall for 5 nights to Bermuda

Ok, we got our e-mail and would like some cc advice.
We booked an XB balcony guarantee and do not yet have our room assignment. Here are our options...
Spacious Ocean View Balcony - $100 pp
Junior Suite - $200 pp
GS - $400 pp

I think maybe a few weeks ago? I noticed I have edocs on my account. Deck number is listed there under the room number which still says GTY.
Thanks!

I'm about 40 days out on Liberty OTS on a balcony guarantee. I have deck 10 assigned but not an actual room yet. I will update when I do!
About when did you get your deck assignment? Just out of curiosity. For us it doesn't matter, but it is kind of fun trying to explore and find out where it will be 🙂

Muster stations were assigned and designated for each cabin when the ship itself was designed. They don't change from sailing to sailing.
Sorry, I should have clarified. I meant, it doesn't mean the muster assignment can't change (since we don't have our rooms assigned yet). It is doubtful they will, but you never know.

How do you know or find what cabins report to the muster stations to figure that out? Sailing on HOS if helpful. Thanks!
When we checked in to our cruise, I looked at our set sail pass and it lists our muster station.
Also, I googled our ship and muster stations and a map of them showed up in images.
It was just neat to see. Doesn't necessarily mean that it will not change prior to assignment. But cool to see and guess 🙂- 1

This is my first time using a TA and I chose it because it was a perk through the company I work for. I did get a much cheaper booking than if I booked direct, plus a % back after we sail. So I'll take it.

My guess is that they have assigned the stateroom, but no longer want to give the exact number, because people will want to change. I think this is their way of preventing guarantee stateroom changes. Plus, it gives them some flexibility.
It's silly, but I understand it. I even asked my TA yesterday if they had assigned our room since we had a muster station and he said no. So, who knows.

Still waiting for our assignment for our fall cruise. But, I did get our muster station so a general idea of the area of the ship (forward to mid) that we'll be. Still have a ways to go yet though.

I recently redeemed points as well. My sailing is not until October, but when I called the agent let me know that they should be reflected on my planner two weeks prior to sailing and that if they do not show up to call them back.
Also to note, I booked a Guaranteed Balcony Room and do not have a room assignment yet, which may be why I have to wait.

Booked out October 2019 Guaranteed Balcony room at the end of April. Still awaiting assignment 🙂
I called RCL about something else and they said there was still no assignment. I'm just curious as to where it'll be! It's exciting waiting for itAlso, when I checked on RCL's website it has only guarantees available for our sailing, except in the Large Balcony category, so who knows. And all suites are sold out apart from the Sky Loft (I'm not expecting anything more that obstructed balcony view); just an observation.

We cruise quite often during March Madness. I'm a huge Syracuse Orange fan. There have been times when they were showing a different game and I have asked to have the channel changed and they obliged. The bar/lounge was not crowded when I did this and I always asked the other patrons if they minded first. It's worth a shot to at least ask.
Thanks! That is good to know. I'm a huge Steelers fan and my husband is a huge Eagles fan. Plus, we play recreational fantasy football, so we like to keep up with our teams.

There will be a game on, but which one is anyone's guess. The Sunday/Monday/Thursday night games will be shown for sure
Thanks!

My cruise is in 23 days and we still haven't been assigned. I have received two offers to bid for an upgrade with the Royal Up program but the whole point of this cruise was something affordable to take my daughter on for her graduation. We got our documentation but there is no deck number of room number, just a box to mark them in when we receive them.
Interesting! Keep us updated. I kind of find it fun to wait and see! This is my first time doing a guaranteed booking but I know we will have a balcony so otherwise I don't care, haha!

watching a movie (not titanic)
HAHAHA!
Yeah, we figured if someone needs us THAT badly they can call the cruise line. I already told work, I won't be available so don't call. That thing is getting shut off and stuck in a safe.

You can always stream the games. My husband last year on the jewel TA streamed the eagles Dallas Sunday night game at 2am since we were in the middle of the Atlantic. Wasnt the greatest but hey, its football 😎
We are hoping to not have to take out our phones at all this trip. So if we miss the games, we miss them. But it's good to know 🙂
9 minutes ago, Host Clarea said:If there are multiple games on at the same time, they will pick one, you won't get a choice.
Dang. Again not make or break, just a curiosity

Hi All! So I have a very random question. My DH and I are huge football fans (NFL) and we are sailing on Anthem in the fall during football season. Do they typically have the games available to watch in bars/at the pool? It won't make or break the trip for us at all, just curious as I know we will both want to check scores at some point!
Thanks!

Still waiting for mine, but who else has received theirs. I'm interested to hear the different assignments 🙂

Thank you! That is really helpful :-)
It's been 5 years since our last cruise, so I'm a tad rusty. Haha!
