Here are my prices at my local North Carolina Total Wine.

    Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc $24.99

Duckhorn Chardonnay Napa Valley 2022 $26.69

    Duckhorn Cabernet Napa 2021 $58.99

    Duckhorn Merlot Napa 2021 $43.99

Duckhorn Merlot Three Palms 2020 $109.99

Duckhorn Discussion Red Napa Valley 2019 $164.99

    Decoy Cabernet Sauvignon Limited $20.99

    Decoy Chardonnay $16.99

    Decoy Sauvignon Blanc $14.99

    Decoy Merlot $18.99

    Decoy Pinot Noir $19.99

    Decoy Red Blend Limited $24.99

    Decoy Red Blend $16.47

So you've proven your point. It's cheaper to stay home, and not cruise, and drink your Lovely Decoy cab from Total wine.

    FYI

Costco usually beats Total Wine's pricing

  2. Just because one ship reportedly waited for 5-6 hours.....which quite frankly I find somewhat unbelievable, this can not be the norm. These ships run on such a tight schedule there is very little wiggle room for departures/arrivals. Celebrity doesn't care if it raining, or if there is snow in the north or fires in Canada.  This is every day stuff to them.

Personally I've had issues getting to Miami form Marco Island with massive brush fires shutting down the major highways, Took alligator alley which was under extremely heavy construction, Heavy thunderstorms in Miami......we left @ 8:00am and barely made it too the ship. My wife was in contact with Celebrity constantly checking to see if we could still board with all the delays.

Well Celebrity didn't give a hoot....its our problem if we don't make it...good luck

And I didn't have a problem with that , nor should others who don't make it.

    Plan better

    Buy insurance

    stop complaining

    Liao only mentioned suites.

He did not tell you that the Deluxe Porthole Veranda category of which there are 58 and are less expensive than the Infinite Verandas have sliding doors, Here is a video:

Yes but this is NOT a true balcony as in M/S class ships

I believe that was what OP was asking about.

IV is not a balcony.....It was a one and done for us on a recent cruise on the Ascent.

  4. We ALWAYS book flights out of FLL  10/10:30.

    Never an issue.

Have cruised many times with X.

It involves walkofff with luggage, and a cab to airport as @Jeylane stated

Most times we are there around 8

For us flying into Boston...there are always plenty of options if there was an issue

The only time it was a bit close, was on a TA.....but we still made it.

    Good luck

Most people who purchase a drink package usually drop it once they reach Elite status. I like to drink San Pellegrino but now I just take a case onboard with me.

    Ha

Not everyone who is Elite will bother with the crappy wine selection offered!

Never cruise without the premium pkg and always bring a couple of bottles from home.

Life is too short to drink low quality wines just because they are complimentary.

Same goes for any complimentary bottles in the stateroom...we politely ask for it to be removed.

  6. Obnoxious trolls is a bit harsh. Everyone has their own version as to what their vacation should be. I am also a frequent Celebrity cruiser and honestly have never seen drunk behaviors in the solarium, but people with hearing disabilities tend to talk louder, lots' of snoring, people just walking through chatting, playing cards, or using electronic devices without headphones

All seem to be the norm......and have been for some time. The only quiet place you can most  likely count on is your cabin

  7. It worked that way when they were initially opening the dining room, as there were always a line waiting for them to open. And they assigned us the same team every night we ate there. I think it's safe to assume that at 8:30 there wouldn't be much of a line either way. If you like the team they assign you on the first night, speak to the Maitre D on the way out and request to have the same team, and your desired times. I found this to work better than messing with the app, but that's just me.

There are no dining times on E class.

Actually, you can make reservations at your dining room of choice on E class. We did just that on the Ascent. We like early dining, and when the dining room opened up, we were able to bypass the entire line waiting and go to our assigned table. Worked great for us. There was actually a 2 line system one for anytime, one for reservations. There was a bit of grumbling from others in line, unaware of the system.

  9. My last cruise was in Feb, on the Ascent. But honestly when in OVC i would go to the coffee bar on the way out, grab an americano to go and ask for 2 waters. My wife did the same, this way we would have a "supply" back in the room. We did this daily. I will say if you ordered  from a waiter in the OVC , and you wanted 2 drinks other than water, they would ask for both cards, or at least show them both upon delivering the drinks.

As far as I know, there is no maximum. Of course, if you're downing vodka and get visibly trashed, they will cut you off, but there's no "15 drinks per day" or whatever like some cruise lines do. Do be aware, though, that you can only get one drink of any kind at a time per card (so like, you can't go up and ask for two bottles of water with just your card. You'd need a second person's card to get a second bottle).

That is incorrect. I've always been able to grab multiple waters at any bar, especially when grabbing my coffee at Al Bacio.

Have done this on many trips.

    Cheers

    OP

there is no limit on number of beverages beer/coffee/waters.

It’s technically a converter.   Thanks for your concern, I have used it in Europe and Asia with no issues.

Adapter is not the same as a voltage converter

I had sushi for lunch at raw on 5 when I was on the beyond in March. Not impressed so skipped it on my Ascent cruise a couple weeks ago. I get better tasting sushi from my local grocery store with better presentation. Also, service was slow.

We had 2 excellent meals @ Raw on 5 on our last cruise on the Ascent. was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the seafood, especially the raw oysters. Being from the northeast, and a frequent harvester of shellfish I am very picky.

My vote between Fine cut and roof top.....Roof top wins every time

I do not think it is worth it. I had the dry aged ribeye and my wife the bone in filet - both extra charge items - and not close to Texas Roadhouse quality let alone Ruth Chris/Mortons to name a few US chain steakhouses. Eden served a superior meal.

    I couldn't agree more!!

The dry aged ribeye was horrible (tough, tasteless). The service however was pretty good.

I had to inform them that I feed my dog better food

Just debarked on May 4th.  No 5% charge for transfers to slot machine, but total transfers were not more than OBC balance.  At the Casino desk, they said it would be a 5% charge to get money (charge to credit card on file) to play slots (no mention of OBC).

If you go to the casino cage you WILL get charged (in most cases) for an advance on your credit card, and it will get posted as a cash advance(higher interest/fees). If you do a room charge there will not be a fee and it posts to your account as entertainment, so no cash advance fees as well.

If you're able to get them on board (they would have to be carried on - NOT checked, especially as those are weaker bottles than wine bottles), PLEASE don't take them on the pool deck. No glass is allowed on those.

You can't have glass containers  in the pool or hot tub, although many do. You Can have glass containerson the pool deck, ie bottle of beer or premium water. They push carts loaded with them....on the pool deck

    Cheers
