  1. Don’t expect it to be like Norwegian at all. If you do you will be disappointed. I am giving Carnival a second chance this year because on my last cruise I was disappointed but I had sailed in Royal Caribbean once and Norwegian 6 times before I tried Carnival. You aren’t as spoiled on Carnival. They don’t do your rooms twice a day and don’t bring you ice more then once, even if you ask. They don’t learn your name or anything about you or your preferences. The crew doesn’t greet you when they see you, on Norwegian it seemed like every crew member you walked passed spoke to you but they don’t on Carnival and I always had to wait at bars for a long time to get a pop.   It’s allot different but if you give it a chance they do have some things that are better then Norwegian also. I had fun, it was just different.

  2. I never even noticed it.  I was looking at several cruises at the time and trying to pick one that was going to ports I hadnt been to and never noticed the time.  I did figure out this afternoon why it was leaving so late and I tried to change cruises because I do not feel like this is really a 6 day cruise as advertised but it will cost me $200 to change cruises so going to have to stay with this one.

    Thanks for your help.

  3. I did go last week but like the rest of Nassau they cheat you there too. I really do not care of Nassau at all, every time I have been there I or someone else I know gets cheated in some way. When we got there we rented 2 clam shells. They have a package that is $50 where you get a clam shell with 2 loungers and a beach chair, 2 yard drinks of your choice in souvenir cups with 2 free refills, and 2 beach towels. Seemed like a pretty good deal since we all wanted to buy at least one beach drink any way and they always cost allot at touristy places. When we went to get the drinks we were told we could only get Bahama Mamas or fruit punch (but we had told the person selling us the package, that sounds good we want pina coladas anyway and she never said we were limited) then we were given very small disposable cups and we said what about the yard cups and she said those were discontinued (although they were on display right behind her).

Besides that it was a beautiful place. The sand is very very deep and very soft so hard to walk in but get for building sand castles. The water is very shallow, only about knee deep for the most part. The inflatable area looks very big in pictures, the teenager we were with wasn't even interested because they were so small. We saw some little kids playing and having fun on them. I think this is a great place if you have small children or just want to lay out and soak up the sun. If you have teenagers or want to play in the surf it isn't going to satisfy you.

  4. We went one day last week on our cruise but we decided we won't do it again. We loved it when it was al a carte, we would just go in for the nachos or key lime pie and drinks. The price isn't actually bad if you compare it to the prices in ports but it is too much food. There are no microwaves in the rooms so you can't just take it and eat it later. I wish they would either go back to al a carte pricing or at least take the price down a little and instead of everyone getting an appetizer make it one per 2 people or one per table. By the time we had the appetizers we didn't need any more food.
