Ats some point in the near future the cruise lines will see this whole subject as an opportunity to stuff their pockets with MORE cash by coming up with a "Reserve-your-lounger-for-a-day-by-paying-a-fee" plan. Several years ago drink packages were introduced and they are now very popular- reserved loungers could be the way to go.

My wife and I sailed on the Vista last week and stayed in a Havana Cabana stateroom. It was terrific, the patio area is beautiful- the only people we saw were other Havana passengers walking by or sitting outside. The outdoor pool/spa/bar area is quiet, beautiful and very private- and fun. We had a blast!! Once you go Havana you will not want to sail any other way.

Like many of the other passengers who book Havana Category staterooms for the exclusivity of the Havana area I say if one wants to use the Havana area then book a Havana Category stateroom.

Well I'm waiting for Carol to post the photo of the line cutters.

That would be May 1, 2018. My apologies.

On Sunday, July 16, 2017 JetBlue will extend their booking schedule to May 1, 2017.

Havana Cabana Stateroom, April, 2018, $2001.00 includes tax, port fees. 2 passengers. As an earlier poster stated just feel comfortable with the fare paid.

We had a bad experience with SAS in April, 2015. There were 14 of us, with our luggage, crammed into an older van. It was cramped, very warm because the air conditioning was NOT WORKING PROPERLY, and I felt at 80 mph it was just a bit too fast for me. This April it will be Jiffy Jeff.

It was a nice review. To all the Navigator naysayers I say look for us on the Navigator this coming April. We will be the ones with the drinks in our hands and the smile on our face!!

2 years ago we stayed at Fort Lauderdale Hilton Marina and checked in online 24 hours in advance and VOILA!! we arrived at about 11 am and were told our room was ready!!

1851 SE 10'th Ave. is address of Hyatt Place. Kelly's Landing is awesome.

Drinks at the Managers' Reception are not free but included in the nightly rate you pay.

Why not just purchase your wine in the city you are cruising from? I can't believe the wine you desire is so rare that it cannot be found in any wine and liquor store.

To the poster who said they are moving to NCL- we sailed on the Getaway in 2015 and it was terrific!! We sailed on the Spirit in 2016 and it was the exact opposite- from food to entertainment to quality of drinks with the complimentary Ultimate Beverage Package to the lack of servers throughout the ship it was the worst vacation we have taken. We are sailing RCCL in 2017.
-
We sailed on the Norwegian Spirit April, 2016 with the complimentary Beverage Package. It was lacking, in my opinion, of drink selection and commitment by NCL to the program. The lack of servers who roam the outer decks serving drinks was noticeable- we are sailing on the Navigator April, 2017 but don't drink enough to warrant the Beverage Package so we're hoping RCCL will still have servers available to fetch us a drink from time to time.

Make a visit to Western New York and bite into the best Beef on Weck sandwiches found anywhere- although the sandwiches we had on the Oasis were just as good!! Anyone know if they are served on the Navigator??

Hyatt Place not located on 17'th St. but at 1851 SE 10'th Ave. in Fort Lauderdale.
-
I don't want to appear nit-picky but it is "Specialty", not "Speciality". And we have a Havana stateroom booked for the exclusivity it comes with!!

Hyatt Place not located on 17'th Street but at 1851 SE 10'th Ave. in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. Nice location, nice venue.

Cruise J D and Vamartha are correct- just ask for a large booth and you will have all the privacy you could want. Now remember that at really busy times you may have a bit of a wait but it will be worth it.

Cocktails, Breakfast- not free but included in the nightly rate you pay. Spend the extra $$$ and stay at The Embassy Suites. You'll be glad you did.:D
-
So the 18% gratuity charge is on a purchase. Seeing as I did not "purchase" the Beverage Package but rather it was part of a promotion, I guess there is no gratuity charged. At least in my world.:D

Is there anything you should know about Balcony cabins? Yes- you will have a blast!! Coffee with Breakfast in the am, mid-afternoon drinks, sunshine, sea, salt, spray, (maybe), drinks at night in the dark, watching a lightning storm way off:D:D:D in the distance, sunrise, sunset- enjoy!!

In April of 2015 we used SAS from Fll-MIA and back. Never again. The ride to MIA was in a cramped van with little or no air conditioning- the return trip was not much better. Next year it will be Jiffy Jeff.:D
