  1. Thanks for all your responses. I spoke with my husband over dinner this evening and asked him how he would feel about wearing a tux, he said he was up for it....now it's just going to depend on me finding the perfect gown/cocktail dress! I'd love the pictures!

  2. So, my husband and I usually avoid formal nights, we enjoy getting a little dressed up on other nights, but enjoy a little more casual dining during the formal nights. This year I'm thinking about going all out, I've never seen my husband in a tux, this would be the perfect opportunity. For those of you who have sailed on Liberty, were there many men in tux's and what formal night has the most participants, 1st or 2nd.

    Thanks

  3. Its one of our favorites, the week or two after. For the week after, its great because of the shortened work week before and when everyone is going back to work on Monday, you are going on vacation. Only negative might be air travel as others are going home.

Another one we like is the week before Thanksgiving.

    Certainly less kiddos either time.

Yes, we thought about the extra time off, what a bonus! The great thing is we live only a few hours from PC, so we usually drive over the night before, which for this cruise will be on Thanksgiving Day, most people will still be enjoying their turkey day! PERFECT timing!!! :D

  4. And not to mention that week is often one of the cheapest weeks of the year in terms of cruise fare.

I doubt you will see many kids.

So with ES...do you think we'll see some price drops before then? Though I think what we paid was pretty reasonable, I'd be surprised to see it go down much more than that.

  5. LOL.....we are on the same cruise as you......AND we are on Panorama!!!

We have not sailed the Liberty before, we have sailed on this deck a couple of times on the Glory and really loved it!!

I hope we all have a great cruise........:D

Great minds think alike! ;) I'm looking forward to the change...we figured there would be less foot traffic too by selecting this deck.

    Looking forward to it!

  6. Checked the price for our Liberty cruise in June and it had gone down $600 plus we got $200 OBC! That's $800! It's worth it to keep checking on your price!

NICE! We don't sail on Liberty until the end of November....hoping to see some price drops as well, but I don't imagine we'll see anything until later summer, early fall.

  7. Yes, we've read the reviews, that is why we chose Liberty. We are looking forward to this cruise, I think we both want something a little different, yet familiar. All I can think about is the chocolate melting cake...I really missed that on our last cruise.

  8. My husband and I are sailing on Carnival's Liberty the week after Thanksgiving. It's our first cruise on a smaller/older ship, though I know Liberty is still considered sizeable, we've just preferred the newer/larger ships. Last April we went on the Oasis, we enjoyed ourselves, there really was nothing to complain about, but we both felt like something was missing, maybe it was a tad too big and quite honestly, we found that there were things about Carnival that we enjoyed more. Do you think going from the larger/newer ships that we are going to feel underwhelmed?
