Has anyone been able to switch their cruise? The website says we can but I haven't seen anyone say they have been able too.
-
No....I've gotta wait until Carnival officially cancels the Splendor (I didn't purchase trip insurance), which will probably happen tomorrow at their 1 pm update. Then I have to call back; can switch then for no fee.
Some of the other cruises we were looking at for the same week to reschedule have already sold out now with other people switching. I didn't purchase insurance either but the website stated we could take a credit to apply to a future cruise.

I'm on hold right now to find out if I can switch my cruise (Carnival Splendor) from Ft. Lauderdale, FL to Mobile, AL.....leaving same day (Sept 9). I'm afraid they are going to make me wait though until they officially cancel the Ft. Lauderdale cruise :(
Did the let you switch? I'm thinking of doing the same thing.

Impatiently waiting for them to post an update just to let us know THEY are still monitoring the Hurricane. Note to Carnival we all are monitoring the storm as well as your website.

I just spoke with someone from the Port and they aren't closed on Saturday as of right now.
-
I'll still waiting on an update for ours as well leaving on 9/9 from Fort Lauderdale.
-
No that’s not how that works. Ships sail full. No room for 20 more people on probably any of them
I was able to find 4 different cruises (working with a Carnival agent) that are leaving within our timeframe that had enough rooms available to accommodate our group. We are literally just waiting on an update from Carnival to see if they cancel.

Honestly, I need more than 2 days notice to make arrangements. Its a group of 20 of us. If possible we would like to book another cruise leaving around the same timeframe from somewhere else since so many preparations have been made for us to go on this cruise. Does anyone know what other ports we could leave from?
-
Yea in all honesty they feel Fort Lauderdale won't be affected. They haven't even changed our intinerary which makes me believe we may be visiting islands that have been damaged by the storms.
-
Just spoke with Carnival and basically, I was told we have to wait for them to cancel to receive a full refund. The agent said they have made adjustments to cruises leaving from Miami and Tampa but not Fort Lauderdale since they are still unsure if it will be affected. Oh and no changes to the initerary either.

I wish Carnival would just make a call. I would like to make some other vacation plans if we can't make this cruise. I just need an update from Carnival.

I'm booked on Carnival Conquest with my family (about 20) and we are supposed to fly in on Friday morning 9/8 & sail out on 9/9. I'm concerned because I don't want to fly in with my family only to have the cruise cancelled and we are stuck in Fl. I called Carnival and they weren't really helpful as they just say they will text us with any updates. I'm flying in from IL and most certainly will stay my butt at home with my family if there is any chance it will be cancelled.

I'm sorry I should've mentioned Southern Carribean lol.

Just wanted to follow up on the request. We leave this Sunday from San Juan, then head to the islands. Any possibilities of hurricanes?
