It seems that the menus have been slimmed down and some of the favorites are no longer offered.   Food is of course subjective so some reviews may or may not meet your expectation.

For a sampler -   download the app and choose any ship in class ship you are interested in and a current sailing.   You should be able to pop up the menus and see how they meet your expectation.

While we don't sail in regular cabins our experience has been food is served hot and dining staff will work with you on selection and modification of items.

Remember you also have the Children's Menu with a 4 ounce Filet (available every day).

You’ve mentioned the 4 oz fillet on the children’s menu in this and another thread.  This item was removed quite some time ago and for the past few cruises this year it’s not available in the mdr and per the F&B mgr on many ships-it’s not coming back.

Had to cancel a week prior to cruise due to medical issue.   Contacted celebrity and they offered to move the cruise 2 months out.  Wouldn’t work for us.  No insurance with Celebrity but did thru my credit card but did not disclose this  to celebrity. Did receive my payment from the credit card insurance.  When you call to cancel, request a letter stating what you will lose and what will be credited back.  This was required for the insurance company thru the credit card if you are covered.

That's great information.  I appreciate it.  Can you tell us what credit card offers this type of insurance or any others you may know of.  Thank you.  Harry

Return flights to EZE are scheduled to arrive at 12:15 and 3:25 pm. We are flying out at 11:50 pm the day that we arrive. A flight at 10 pm won’t be a problem.

    Hi Patrick

We are really enjoying this thread because we are booked on this ship and itinerary for January 2024.  Thanks for the time you are putting into this.  We live 50 miles south of you in West Palm Beach and would love to talk to you when you get home.  However we have no idea how to make a personal contact on Cruise Critic.  We have some questions and appreciate all the first hand knowledge from a fellow cruiser.  We too are avid ocean cruisers (40+) and have been to Ushuaia while cruising around South America.  After observing the expedition ships while there we have wanted to do this trip ever since.  We also have been to Buenos Aires a few times and loved it.  We will follow this thread and look forward to this adventure.  Please let us know if you have a contact you can share.

    Thanks again.  Smooth sailing!

    Hi, Harry.

The WiFi is better when in port than when moving at sea, so I got most of my photos uploaded yesterday while in Grand Turk. I did the remainder at 1am this morning, so low load on the WiFi. It usually takes multiple tries to get a long post to actually send; my first post in this thread took 3 attempts. I have all my text and photos saved in a separate file so I won't lose anything if there's hiccups sending (though I've almost lost that file 4 times as it corrupted while trying to back up to Google docs on the WiFi).

Today's been the best WiFi so far. On Tuesday, I got so frustrated with it that I turned mobile data back on. International is included in my phone plan and we spent a few hours sailing close enough to San Salvador, Bahamas that there were 3/5 bars of signal.

  6. Thank you for the great thread. We’ll be boarding the Infinity this Saturday and it’s nice to know she’s in good shape. One question I have is regarding your comment on the WiFi. You certainly posted a lot of photos yet you said the WiFi was really bad. I’ve had 38 Celebrity cruises and it’s usually not great but I’d be ok with it if I can post the amount of photos you have posted.

  7. I know some ships did not get an entire renovation. I was wondering if the regular balcony rooms on the Silhouette have had the electric plugs moved to the side of the bed from the desk as it had been originally.
    Thanks

@harrywpb: as my post immediately above suggests, I might not be in a position to get a Certificate of Recovery, because at the moment I don't have a documentable infection.  But we are taking our first B2B in a month, and I am interested in how this works in the Covid era.  I gather that if you did not have the CoR, you would have been required to test negative in order to stay on for the second leg of the trip?  And if so, was Celebrity going to provide testing for you (with or without charge), or was that still up to you to deal with?  If the latter, one could obviously bring additional proctored Abbott BinaxNow Ag Card tests, but it is just a matter of calculating how many you think you will need for the entire trip and not running out of tests.

    Thanks for your help.

BTB tests are complimentary and are administered by Celebrity.

  9. We just had our BTB meeting with the Documentation Officer on the Reflection. We were the first guests they’ve had with the proper Certificate of Recovery and we’re excused from the 4/1 testing for the 4/2 leg. We did test negative for the 3/26 leg on 3/24 so we didn’t need to use the C of R but didn’t want to hassle on the second leg.
I can’t answer any questions on what they’ll accept in lieu of the exact verbiage on their site. We did exactly as required.

  10. Thanks Mahdnc

i too used to attach an hdmi cable and was able connect my iPhone via an hdmi lightning cable however the last few years I wasn’t able to get to it in order to attach it. Hopefully I’ll get an IT person to assist when I get on board Saturday. I’ll be on the Reflection and do not think they’ve upgraded too much yet as they haven’t gone through a renovation.

  11. I mirror my iPhone and iPad to my tv at home. Does this work on the Ship in this case the Reflection and if so please explain how to do it there. My home tv is recognized but I’m not sure the Ships tv will be.
    Thanks in advance

    Harry

  12. Booked a BTB , first one since shut down. I’ve tried a search but I’ve never had success with them.
Is Celebrity offering BTB lunch for non Suite guests ?

    Thanks

    Harry
