  1. well now you can see why this is the most contentious topic...

amazing how so many say they love celebrity because there are less children....while they bring theirs....

and we love celebrity for that very reason....very few kids of any age when we sail....

we took our 15 year old with us...he was bored out of his mind....

here is what his day looked like...

slept till noon, since the "gang" hung out till 3...in nooks and cranies on the ship...one night we went looking for him...

in san juan, he helped some "friends" get back to the ship because they got drunk....

sat up till half the night with a girl who was drunk and crying....

you said SLOOPs post was not factual....well do you want more facts...

had there been the sort of things royal carib offers, he would have been thrilled to take part in that....

dont bring teens or any kids on celebrity and especially not babies and tots....

on every celebrity questionaire, we always write, less kids of any age...even when there have been only 2....since we will only travel off peak kids time....

I encourage others who want an adult only experience to do the same...

celebrity has marketed its ships for an adult demographic....take note...and help it stay that way..

    here come the flames....

Are you going to be the one to inform the officers onboard that you do not want them to see their children then?? You do realise a sizable percentage of the children on board belong to the officers!!! Please allow me to be there when YOU tell them you want zero children onboard.

I happen to think we are all entitled to do what we wish.

  2. I tried the Martini Flight the first night of my last cruise.

1st of all, the bartender was marvelous and said please take it.easy with these and kept.topping.me up with water and diet coke!!!

2nd: I HATED ALL SIX OF THEM...YUCKY. lol

So this year I will try individual ones and see if I can fund one or two that I do like. Just found the Martini bar so busy. ..It was mental. Lol

  3. Interesting. I had my first experience of English bacon in London at my hotel and couldn't eat it--it was way too salty. So have avoided it ever since.

It sounds like they gave you smoked bacon. Which of your not used to it can be awfully salty!! If you tried normal.back bacon, not smoked, you MIGHT like it. Although like everything you might not...lol. I love our bacon over here in England. Really do not like American Bacon...lol

My favourite 1st thing: Seeing Whales swimming around the ship in Hawaii. And it is a sight I will never ever forget. :D

  4. Ref swapping drinks: I had premium Alcohol and mum had the premium non Alcohol. I ordered a cocktail, she ordered a mock tail. Neither of us enjoyed our chosen drinks...so we tasted each others and liked them so swapped. We were sat by the bar in full view. The bar tender laughed me cause I said...too much rum!!! Lol

So, if you don't "like" your chosen wine, why waste it? Why not let your husband drink it instead. :p:p

  5. When we went to our muster drill last October, instead if waiting upstairs as we were supposed to, we had to sit downstairs due to lack of space!! Honestly, me and mum just went with it. It was however explained very clearly that our muster station was upstairs not downstairs! We were happy. Sorry it worries you x xx x

  6. Just a side note......on disembarkation on day, although you can get a coffee at al Bacio, regardless of having a drinks package, you will be charged cash at the time of purchase because they will be resetting all the accounts for the next lot. At least that was the case last October.

  7. This was a thread about someone who witnessed unruly behavior by lots of children. I was on the same cruise and also witnessed it. Not sure what the value was in telling everyone how well behaved your children are many times when the problem is obviously not your children. I still think some parents think their kids are angels but don't see the devils when they turn their heads. No one can watch their kids 24 hours a day. Just my opinion.

Like i said, I respect that the OP witnessed unruly behaviour..further down the thread, the opinion of others was that all children are like that or that parents really do not give a damn. Obviously you are not interested in the opinion of someone who does in fact keep an eye on her children 24/7 when out in public or in a situation where anything they do can be seen as unruly or disruptive. I would hate for my children to be the reason someone had a terrible holiday...Full Stop. And that is why i used myself and my children as an example...Obviously not well received, so will now keep away from this thread, safe in the knowledge that when we do cruise, my children and i will be complimented not frowned upon...Happy Cruising All :D

  8. Did anyone say YOU were?

A lot of people on this thread are saying that parents allow their children to run havoc......you are all.voicing your opinion so I am voicing mine and defending myself and my children in the process. At no point did I say anyone was directly.discussing me!! Please don't do that. I see badly behaved children and parents ignoring it. ....It annoys me ad much as those travelling without children. All I was saying I'd that it is unfair to judge ALL children. That's it.

  9. Just the thought that comes to mind. Especially when people see kids causing problems and their parents just sit there doing nothing. Maybe those parents think their kids are being well behaved too because they're numb to it. Possibility.

I am not one of those parents. I am not oblivious to my children's behaviour. If they misbehave, I do not ignore it. And i do not let it go unpunished.

  10. I don't have kids but I always wonder when I see people talk about their own kids being so well behaved if their kids are in fact the culprits who the rest of us talk about. LOL

I actually kind of resent that!! If my children did not behave on public there is no way in living hell I would take them abroad, or in to town,

Let alone on a Celebrity Cruise

  11. I just want to add this: I do not expect people to like my children. All I ask is you do not judge them based on how other people allow their children to behave. Judge them from what you see directly. And if you see my children misbehave, tell me

Believe you me they would never get a chance to repeat it!!! I love my children but respect that other people would really rather not have them thrown in their face....so I keep them in check. That is my job. But they will enjoy their first cruise on The Eclipse....next one will most likely be with RC

  12. Not all children behave badly. .....I demand good public behaviour. Always have and always will. I do not like reading when people say they will avoid all children because you do not believe they can't behave. Yes of course you have your own experience to go by, but when I say my children are well behaved, it is not my opinion it is fact due to how I raised them. Please try to avoid judging all children. Mine will not be running anywhere or screaming or shoving and will.in fact be supervised at all times....by me. There is no need for disruptive public behaviour by anyone. Which is why it is important mine behave where ever we go. I know unruly children can be oh so annoying but please trust not all children behave that way. Mine already know...no running or shouting, no WHIRLPOOL AT ALL, no unsupervised anything. And those rules will be repeated daily while on board. It is so sad when people dislike children to such a degree.....I like to go away every now and then and would prefer less children so plan accordingly. On this occasion I am taking my children and it is during a UK holiday. Hope my children get a better reaction. Enjoy your future cruises

  13. 2 things......the contents of the drinks package is ALWAYS subject to change. Always has been always will be. I have never received one as a perk as yet, meaning I paid for it and accepted the above state my as given.

Secondly, of course they want you to upgrade. They are in the business of making money.

  14. They have offered the drinks package as part of their perks. The contents of the drinks package is not guaranteed, just the receiving of a drinks package. Not being able to find a beer you enjoy within that package is not celebrities responsibility. They are providing what they offered as a perk. The package is free, so if you feel you need to upgrade, then is 11.50 a day really that high a price for drinks for the duration of your cruise? FYI This is just my opinion.

  15. We picked cabin 1126 for our TA on Eclipse because it a CC cabin and on the hump angle, close to the elevator. I wanted the larger balcony that everyone says these angle cabins have. Well, a fellow cruiser peaked at the cabin while onboard the other day and reported back that the balcony is regular size! How can this be?? Ship diagram clearly shows it on the angle, and no other angle cabins are available.

Hey, that's my Cabin!!!!! Not until 21st October 2015....so if your travelling before then, will you check out if there is a bed in the celing as their will be 4 of us in that room...lol.....And i booked it due to the larger bslcony too, so hoping that is in fact the case lol

    ENJOY :D
