When we started back cruising after Covid we did not do anything like we used too.  We did not get to start back cruising until January of this year.  After a few cruises we realized we were only hurting ourselves because we enjoyed dressing up.  We now dress up for formal night.  We do it because it makes us happy.  If others don’t want to we don’t care.  I don’t pay attention to how others dress.

We have always dressed up until last couple of cruises, my wife will still dress up in a nice evening dress and me in jacket without tie!

  2. We are sailing out of Galveston this coming Sunday and my question is, do you still need to mask up while in the terminal or has that been done away with like the mask mandates on the ships?.....Personally, I hate wearing those stupid masks!

Yes. It is a lab test rapid antigen test. I have read multiple people have used this option. I plan on signing up for it as backup for my CVS appt.

Thank you!.....We only have a Walgreens around here in the village, could drive into town of Hot Springs to get the test at CVS but now I know this, why drive a 40 mile round trip!

You are correct, you probably do know more about US politics than I. However perhaps I can provide a more objective analysis on health agency intent as I am not emotionally invested? I am not trying to be offensive, just making the point that I can have an informed opinion also.
Your opinion is taken and I do like hearing from others, I'm just opposed to the CDC of having anything to do with the cruise industry as are the states that are now bringing lawsuits against the CDC!

As an Australian, I apologise - I am sorry that another Australian would run a business in that way. That family is not popular with or respected by many Australians.

Dude!!! That's impressive!!! Sarcopenia isn't in your vocabulary!!! I'd ask if you're a former athlete but it's obvious you are STILL one!!

My men's league hockey team is made up of guys 28-69. The guys over 50 are in the best shape by far....those who get it, get it.

Thank you for the compliment, I try to work out as much as I can and eat right, could do better.....I wish I could play hockey I have always loved watching, but being raised in the south we didn't have any of that here!....best of luck to you on the working out and your hockey!

Would you please provide a link to the authority under which the CDC could close the casinos in a state.

I don't have a link, just the unjust thought that they are open and cruises are not!...The US government has not provided one dollar to the cruise industry, but yet the CDC can tell them no cruising !

We do receive news broadcasts and have internet access in Australia 😁😁

In the news I read it looks like the CDC has had their attention on combating virus spread rather than empire building/designing falsehoods 🤔

We also have that here ,but that doesn't mean I know everything that's happening in Australia!.....I do believe at age 70 I know a little more about our politics than you and what is a sham and a lie!.......the Las Vegas hotels and casinos are open and many have more guest that the largest cruise ships, our local casino is open and thousands of people are in there everyday!......makes you think what does the CDC have against the cruise industry!

Generally Bermuda is very easy to do things on your own without having to use ship excursions which tend to be more expensive than the same thing arranged on your own. Some of the best things in Bermuda are close to free-- like headed to Horseshoe Bay beach for the day.

That being said, if you have some OBC to burn something like a snorkel trip or catamaran sail might be a good way to do it. The Restless Native is a popular one that we've done once and enjoyed for half a day. You can also rent a Boston Whaler for half a day to go snorkling on your own which we do and really enjoy-- just not sure if your ship offers something like that you could book with onboard credit.

We have a Whaler rented for 6 hours in April and can you just tell me a little about your times doing this, like easy to get to beaches and some of the small islands?.....thanks

No, from your wording, I think that you misunderstand how that works.

It is a certificate for 20% of whatever cruise fare (and fare only, not taxes/port fees) the OP had paid for the Liberty cruise.

That is correct, 20% of what we paid pp for that cruise, and the water was fresh water and no sewage at all.....also the credit is to be applied by the date I had said earlier but can cruise whenever date that cruise is booked for!

  10. We were on the Liberty of the Seas Halloween cruise in a deck seven balcony cabin, on Friday night, the 5 th night of the cruise we had a gasket burst in the toilet and water was running out the bathroom into our cabin and hallway, my wife opened the cabin into this mess, ran down to the Hoof and Claw and informed me, by the time we got back up to the cabin the maintenance staff had it fixed and was sucking up the water and blowing it dry.....anyway, not bad wet after what they had done and nothing to cause us to move cabins that late into the cruise,... so the thank you.....today I received a 20% off per person credit towards a future cruise, great news since we never complained or asked for a thing......Thank You RCI!
