Thanks all for the info. HEY THRAK since you were in a balcony room: 1) what did you like best and 2) what did you like least about the room?
-
We will be on the Crown for its 3-25-17 cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. Never having been on Princess before we chose a balcony room mid-ship on Baja Deck (B434).
We have now discovered that the deck just below us (Caribe) have larger balconies. Does the larger deck just below hinder your downward views?
If they do it would not be a deal breaker but mildly disappointing. Thanks for the input from those who know.

I apologize for clogging up the boards with a question that I even asked early on and cannot find it now. So here goes again: We will be on the Crown Princess 3-25-17 and will not be doing the formal nights in the MDR. We want others to enjoy dressing up so my question is Can you just do casual elegance in the Crown Grill or Sabatinis on formal nights? We can eat anywhere and want everyone to enjoy their dining experience formal or not.

I check the port schedule and the Crown Princess is still going to dock at the West Indian Company (Havensight) docks. Looks like a go!!
-
Hey Ms411 thanks for the info. Do you, by chance, know which dock is closest to the aerial tramway. I can check the port schedule and see where the Crown Princess will be docking.
-
I should look at other threads before I post a new one that is exactly like the one below mine. Thanks to CRUISE077 I think I got my answer. Walking to the tram is certainly doable and I will check to see about prices for just the tram on the ship. Thank you everyone.

We will be visiting St. Thomas in March 2017 on the Crown Princess. We want to go on the Aerial Tram and that is an excursion from the ship. BUT, I saw on You Tube that it is so close to the ship that you can walk across the street and buy a ticket costing much less. For those in the know I would appreciate input by those who have done this.

we will be on the 3/25 - 4/2 cruise I wonder if it will be the same entertainment?

I have ordered some wine and cheese for friends traveling with us on the Crown Princess 3-25-17. For those who have done this I just want to know what to expect. Are the goodies automatically delivered as specified on the order form? Or do I need to make a call? I just am not sure how this is supposed to work. Thanks for the help.

Easyboy. That would be fun.
-
We will be getting off on April 2 as well
-
easyboy.. Which cruise in March are you doing on the crown? If it is the 3-25 sailing we will be finding out about the balcony door together.
-
Thanks Mario for the etiquette suggestions. At our age getting caught in your birthday suit probably qualifies as a travel nightmare.
-
Thanks to all of you for correcting me. Our Room is B434 (not 424). After a bit of an adrenalin rush I check our documentation.
-
We will be on the Crown Princess in March and will be next to traveling companions. Does the partition between the balconies open or is the an access door? If it makes a difference we will be on Baja deck B424 (midship).
Thanks for all your help.

Thanks Jeromep for the great answer. I got it now.

I am not trying to be a smart ass. Just interested in the purpose of the question. Why would knowing who the CD is make a difference?
-
We will be on the Legend in June 2017 and the question has come up as to whether the cruise line restricts the number of bags per person. Thanks for any information from those in the know.

I am new to Princess as well. Looking forward to our cruise on the Crown Princess 3-25-17. We have friends who have been devotees of Princess for 25plus cruises on different ships in different places and they rave about Princess. This shows me that each cruise can be different with individual problems from time to time but sometimes they get tagged for things out of their control. My friends devotion shows me an expectation of service and quality from the Cruise line as a whole. I have read some complaints but am excited to go. A bad day at sea surpasses a good day at work. Have a great time.

Is there bottled water provided in the room? I take medication so I am not sure I want to drink water out of the tap. The water package is something I am going to order if there is no other water in the room.
-
I totally agree that paying $56 a day for the full package is a bit overboard. Especially if you drink limited alcohol like I do. I was more interested in the Soda Package and the "Foo Foo"" Coffee Card (I love it). Virgin drinks, sodas, and waters for the room I think might be a good move.
-
We will be on the Crown Princess on her 3-25-17 sailing. We have been looking at the value of their drink packages. Although not a huge alcohol drinker (although I LOVE bloody Marys) the soda package looks interesting. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

We had done the train and it was fun and interesting. I am returning to St. Kitts with a different group this March (2017) on the Crown Princess and will do the train again with friends who have not been.

I pulled up the Grand Turk port Schedule and found that ( whether it is true or not) there will be a Carnival ship in port at the same time as the Crown Princess. Dilemma solved. Jack's here I come.
English Pub on Crown
in Princess Cruises
Posted
I enjoy typical English comfort food served in their pubs. What's the food like in the Crown English Pub? is it worth a trip for lunch or dinner?
