I thanks for all the input. But was asking if anyone has actually seen it or not. Not why they wouldn't or would have one. After all there used to be freestyle sun decks too.

Just back from Gem cruise and made stop at private island. Did not see adult only area. Had small cabana #23(last on the end) and the only thing beyond that is a lagoon with loungers and a lot of family's made it down that way.
Ahhh ok :( thanks for that info because the scuttlebutt had it that lagoon area is where it was

I did read on these boards but cannot find it again, that now if you get off the tender and walk to the far left side of the island there was an area for adult only
-
On our Gem cruise 3 years ago they had the freestyle deck and utilized that, but I see they have done away with that

It has been 3 years since we were there last, during alot of construction. Wondering if since all the construction if there are any adult only areas now for topless sunbathing?

My DH and I had a BX guarantee on the Breakaway June 8th - we ended up with 9848. Balcony was not huge - but we had no trouble having drinks and snacks.
How long before your cruise until your cabin number was assigned?

We had a BX guarantee, and ended up with a standard balcony, 13108. You do not necessarily get one of the 4 BX rooms on deck 8.
All of the standard balcony cabins have the same small balcony. It's fine, just know that it's small. Two people can sit there, but you probably will be facing one another more than the sea. We used our balcony and enjoyed it. Just know going in, it's a smaller than average balcony on the Breakaway and enjoy it!
Yes true, glad we found out now that it could be smaller then after we walk in

Only way to know is to call and ask. It's nice to sit outside your cabin it part of cruise. Salt air , wave, sunsets
Thanks, but I trust the input of fellow cruisers here then the NCL peeps on the phone trying to make a sale. We agree with the salt air, sunsets and waves but we like our breakfast time out there too

Ok I have searched this but cant find my answer so I apologize if this is a common question. We have a BX Guarantee booked on the Breakaway. I have read these balconies are about the size of a lounge chair. True? Seems kind of small to me to even build them this small. We have always sailed balconies and even though we don't spent a ton of time out there we find it nice to sit out there with a plate of breakfast and a Bloody Mary in the morning with our drinks on the small table. Is this possible in a BX cabin? We are only on deposit so have time to change, any and all help here is appreciated

Did a fake booking on ncl.com. And yes, the H6's are all gone.

Thank you!!! Did u get a chance to see any other regular balcony cabins? If so was the balcony itself the only difference in size?

anyone have any input on this?

We sail in 21 days and there are at least 15 aft balconies left. Is that normal?
I thought they were highly prized rooms that people book loooooong in advance.

Are there any rope swing hammocks in the sand?
-
We were there in 2011 on the Gem while a lot of construction was going on. Has anyone else been back since around that time and has it changed much? If so how? Is there any hammock swings yet?

We are especially looking for hammock swings

You're right the world won't end (did someone think it would?), however the AC will.
Door open - no AC, Door closed - AC, pick one and go with it. You can't always have everything.[/quote
You know what? Forget the question was even asked GEEEESSSHHH! Back in the day when I was on these boards I guess it was different. Was looking for a simple answer to a simple question (that's how we knew about magnets on Celebrity).....not an argument
Breakfast delivered to the cabin?

We are booked in a Balcony Guarantee on the Breakaway and wondering if we can order eggs, omelets or pancakes for breakfast along with bloody marys to have on our balcony in the morning
