It's been confirmed for March 2016. I think it's the second week of March

Been on Splendor 8x in the last year. The steakhouse is a do not miss. Unbelievable. The food was fantastic. Make sure you don't snack beforehand. I could not eat everything. I had leftovers for later and ordered dessert to go. Enjoy .....Ate there twice on a cruise in June. Tried the filet mignon the first night but really enjoyed the ribeye the second night. Second the thought on going hungry. I couldn't finish it all and had to take the oversized piece of cheesecake to go. I always look forward to the steakhouse. If you like lamb it's never disappointed.
Thank you all for your input. I'll give them a try [emoji106]🏾

I want to make reservations at the Pinnacle Steakhouse for our cruise on 8/13/16. Before I make these reservations, I would like some input about your experience with this steakhouse on this ship.

Great review! This was my first ship/cruise ever on the the Liberty. We sailed out of Miami on her 8/3/13-8/10/13. Your review is bringing back great memories

I booked my 8/13/16 cruise during our spring break cruise (3/29/15-4/5/15). I booked it 14 months in advance hoping to get some OBC. Usually I book 9-12 months in advance. My upcoming cruise is the first cruise I've booked ES. So far, the price increased twice.

San Juan, St Thomas, Grand Turk. Had a great time.
I loved San Juan and Grand Turk. Our itinerary is Gran Turks, Dominican Republic, Curaçao and Aruba. I'm excited abt this cruise

I don't think the Splendor is their worst ship. Yes, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles as the Breeze but the Splendor is going into drydock in 3/6/16-3/20/16 and hopefully some of the 2.0 upgrades are added to the Splendor.

Great! Overall how was your cruise and what were your port of calls?

I just realized after Carnival moved us from the Breeze to the Splendor, I noticed my room is above the bar/pool area whereas on the Breeze, the 9th floor is all occupied with rooms. If anyone stayed in room 8300 on the Splendor, did you hear any noise such as the crew setting up and moving the deck chairs around? My cruise is exactly one year from today's date :)

I just looked at the dry dock schedule again and the Valor is now showing full 2.0 upgrades. The Splendor is only getting a couple new bars.
Is there a link or picture to the drydock schedule for the Splendor? We're sailing on Splendor(Breeze was the original ship before the change) next summer.

I've been on three cruises so far with Carnival and they are:
1- Carnival Liberty(8/2013)- my first cruise ever, first ship in carnivals fleet to receive the full funship 2.0 upgrades. Food was great, the decor and venues on boards was good as well.
2- Carnival Dream (8/2014) - I have a thing for the dream class ships. Beautiful ship, plenty of things to do. The Dream doesn't have the 2.0 upgrades as of yet. Love the extended deck 5. It took me a whole day to get use to not seeing the ocean below me from my balcony on deck 8 bc the the promenade deck extends outward on both sides of the ship. I haven't had the chance to stay in a cove balcony.
3- Carnival Magic(3/2015)- another beautiful dream class ship in carnivals fleet. (Same comments as I had for the Carnival Dream). Even though the Carnival Magic is the sister to the Dream, the Magic has a few upgrades that the Dream didn't have such as you needing your room key or card with a magnetic strip to activate the lights and the Magic has the ropes course. Still a beautiful ship
4- Carnival Breeze [sad] (8/2016)- I'm 421 days away from this cruise and was recently excited bc of this Dream class ship and its tropical upgrades and decor that the Dream or Magic didn't have. The breeze is the newest in Carnivals fleet and the decor is breath of fresh air compared to the decor of the Liberty, Dream and Magic. The itinerary is why caught my eye and of course the ship. We're going to Domincan Republic, Aruba, Curaçao and Grand Turks. Earlier this week, Carnival thought it was real cute to move the Breeze to Galveston a few months ahead of schedule and bc of that change, our ship now is the Carnival Splendor. My brother sailed on the Splendor three years ago when it was out here on the west coast. I know that this ship doesn't have any 2.0 upgrades and I've read that the Splendor is going into drydock in March 2016, I hope it receives at least 1/2 to 3/4 of the 2.0 upgrades but I highly doubt that as to it not being enough space to fully upgrade it to the 2.0.
I'm waiting to see the updates that carnival is abt to doing as far as the "Dancing of the ships" and hopefully I can find a cruise with the similar itinerary as the Breeze(now Splendor) with the 2.0 upgrades. If not, we'll just stay with the Splendor, and hopefully the upgrades in drydock will justify the changes Carnival has made as for moving us to a different ship.

Since Carnival switched us to the Carnival Splendor for our cruise next summer, anyone knows when the Carnival Splendor is going into dry dock? If so, what upgrades are planned for it??

I was booked on the breeze for 8/13/16. Not too thrilled abt the Splendor

I'm currently booked on this cruise and received an email from Carnival stating that the Breeze is moving to Galveston, TX (5/2016-11/2016). The Carnival Splendor is our ship now and I wanted to know what everyone's thought is abt this change. I just hope that the Splendor receives the 2.0 upgrades by then.

I was booked on the Breeze 8/13/16 until I received an email stating that the Breeze is changing ports and the Splendor is our ship. Not too thrilled abt the Splendor as the Breeze would've made it the last ship in the dream class that I've sailed on consecutively. Hopefully the Splendor receives the 2.0 upgrades by then
