  1. Is it possible to check in ahead of person in your cabin? I will be earlier to the dock than my boyfriend and would like to know if I can check in ahead of him or do I need to wait? I will be using my credit card for both of us for the on-board account....can I set that up for both of us if I board ahead of him? (not that I am anxious or anything to begin the cruise :D )

  2. Thank you! I think I can unload a good part of my clothes now! I'm completely addicted to Danskin Now loose fit knit pants [call them a poor woman's Lands End I guess]. They are fine for business casual work environment here, so I think they will be good for the cruise. I may never wear jeans again!!

I am taking a few 3/4 sleeve knit tops and a variety of scarves to dress up in the evening.

yes!!! those danskin type pants are now my favorite!! no jeans for me! a few cute tops and a couple dressy ones will do just fine :) :D

  3. I did zip lining in AK on our first cruise....I always wanted to try it....and thought it would be better to try it in the USA with somewhat safety regulations :D:D The zipping was fun...the rope bridges, not so much

  4. This came from the roll calls for the Golden boarding on 6.7.14:

Just got a staggered boarding email.

  5. Have to say LIVERPOOL as it's my home town, we have lots of attractions. Many that are free, as your ship will dock right in town all attractions are within walking distance,

The Ruby Princess is due in on Thursday so were pretty excited :D this is what's planned for the next few days.

The Princes Dock Street Food Party will start on Thursday 29 May (from 5.30pm-9.30pm), welcoming the Ruby Princess to the city. The Thursday evening event will close with a spectacular fireworks display

I would definitely choose Liverpool! BTW - I have friends - Lori and Dave - on the Ruby --- I will tell them they have a welcoming party! And....if all goes well, I will be there August 2015!! :D:D

  6. I am doing my first balcony to Alaska....other than getting a "good price" that I could justify it, I am excited to use my camera on a tripod without feeling i am hogging up deck space :D Plus, I am a very early riser who can grab a cup of coffee and grab blankets and sit out until everyone else wakes up :D

  7. I get sea sick very easily....i have done the coastal cruise and now that I have learned how to virtually stop it, i am ready for anything (big talker)....I use a 3 pronged approach---bromine before i go on board and anytime the ship is heading north in the Pacific (just in case); 2 - ginger capsules all the time and #3, the sea bands on the wrist. I don't know what is working, but happy it is!!
