  1. Booked on the 10/27 Seaside cruise. We are in a Bella Balcony. We received a dinner drink package with booking. Problem: we do not drink wine or beer...

Question #1: can we upgrade to classic drink package for a reasonable price?

Question #2: can we purchase drink coupons? Did that on our Divinia cruise.

I read through previous posts but still confused. Thanks for any help...

I was quoted $399 total for 2 adults to upgrade from Mealtime Package to All-Inclusive Classic. All people in cabin have to upgrade, so no option to only have 1 person upgrade, etc. Drink Coupons are no longer being sold. Hope that helps!!

  2. We are considering booking the Seaside next year and one of the perks for a balcony is the Mealtime drink package. Does anyone know for sure if you can upgrade to an unlimited package and what the additional cost is per person and do both adults have to do it?

Yes, i was quoted $399 for 2 adults and it has to be for the 2 of you in the cabin.

  3. My agent said that MSC USA will upgrade us from Classic to Deluxe for $112USD per person for the week that we are on Seaside. That seems a little expensive. I'll have to check the menus to see if that is worth it because we could probably just stay with the classic package and get about 25 premium drinks at the bars as cash purchases. I just wanted the deluxe package for some scotch.

I would double check that....I called MSC directly the other day and was told it was $112 for both adults in cabin, not each of us to upgrade from classic to deluxe.

  4. Hoping that someone might find this helpful. My family and I (twins are 10) are booked on Seaside 2/17 (7 nights) and we are booked in a Fantastica Balcony cabin. As part of the package booked, we have the mealtime drink package. I called MSC this morning to inquire about cost to upgrade to Classic or Deluxe all-inclusive drink package and this is what I was told:

Classic: For 2 adults it is $399. For 2 children, it was $182. So, total for 4 of us to upgrade from mealtime to classic is $581

Deluxe: For 2 adults it is an additional $112 on top of the $399, so $511. There is no Deluxe kids package. So total to upgrade to Deluxe is $693.

As always, YMMV, but this is what I was quoted.

  5. Hi all - I emailed my MSC transfer form to them on 5/13. Thye have not transferred it to my travel agent yet. What has others experience been with this?

    Thanks,

    Kyle.

It seems MSC is extremely slow when transferring to a travel agency. I made the request for my Feb'18 reservation to be transferred back on May 4th and it still has not been done. First, MSC told me travel agent it can take up to a week to process transfer, then they said 7-10 business days, then my travel agent emailed me saying they might be going on how far out the cruise is as those with cruises earlier then mine (Feb'18) could take priority. Finally, this past Friday, my travel agent said she is waiting for MSC accounting to approve transfer. Hope that helps...

  6. Did it allow you to continue if you put in your booking # and name?

We're booked on Seaside Feb 24 2018 (obviously) and this is the response to an attempt to "check-in"

  7. I am booked on the Seaside for Feb'18, and I was playing around on the MSC website. I noticed there was a link for web check-in so I clicked on it. I got an error message saying something along the lines that for this departure and ship, web check-in is unavailable and to try 60 days before departure or contact TA.

Granted, it is still a year away from first sailing, but just curious for anyone that has booked the Seaside, were you able to access web check-in?

    Thanks!!
