What kind of shirts do you ladies wear with maxi skirts?
I've worn t-shirts or tank tops before, but I bought a new maxi skirt to wear on Easter and need to find a dressier blouse to wear with it.

Color me impressed! Great job!

I'm glad that you tested them out before the cruise! That would have been SOOOO bad!

30 days for us!

Well, since part of the sale was free shipping if you spent $50 I certainly couldn't just get the pants, now could I?
I am a sucker for free shipping promotions, too. Why pay for shipping when you could have more clothes instead?! :D
I love the dress, by the way!

I would suggest a classic high heeled shoe.
High heels with an ankle strap ramps it up a notch (or two). ;)
I have seen them worn with peep toed shoes, but I wouldn't personally wear them that way. I'm not sure if you've tried them on yet or not, but in my experience, your toes poke through the stockings and I would be more conscious of it (meaning it would get on my nerves) if my toes were visible.

We have taken a few "spring break" cruises and I definitely agree that the five day cruise was much more wild than the seven day cruise. While my friend and I did have an issue with a couple of college aged boys, what I was most surprised at was the number of parents who encouraged excessive under-aged drinking in their own children.

I've found a black Jersey maxi dress I love. I've found four tank tops I wear over the top and turn it into a maxi skirt with different tops, then wear basic black with a sparkly jacket for elegant night.
My problem is that the ship is usually so cold. A hoodie is too casual but in the spring, a Black sweater looks too heavy. What would you suggest?
I have a convertible Maxi dress/skirt that I really like as well. I sometimes wear a denim jacket and scarf with mine on casual weekends. For dressier occasions, how about a statement necklace, strappy heels and a nice wrap?

Cute top! I agree with the others about placing it in a dry cleaners bag and then folding it to place inside of your suitcase.

What a fun project! It looks like you are making great progress. I love the chevron accents you added to the furniture. And I too love me some spray paint. Can't wait to see more!

Very sweet! Unfortunately, being in close proximity to fresh flowers does not mix well with my allergies (just putting that out there in case my DH reads this and gets any ideas). :D

Guilty! And it drives my poor husband crazy! LOL!

I was just about to suggest 6pm.com. Great minds! :D

Haha! Love the tip! But this is just one of the many reasons I just say no to solid white bottoms.

Awesome! Hope you have a great cruise!

Congratulations on your current weight loss and good luck to you as you continue on the weight loss journey! While I know it's not a favorite of some of the members here, I personally love the concept of capsule packing! I think it's a great way to get yourself in the mindset to help maximize your wardrobe in everyday scenarios as well.
Thanks for all of the links that were shared! I love looking at the way people combine capsules. Outfit Posts is definitely one of my favorites. I really enjoy the way she includes pictures of what all is in the capsule and then takes actual photos of the outfits put together while she is wearing them.
I think this is a great explanation of how to do laundry while on vacation, though I would only assume bottom layers are "dirty" and need laundering. http://ladylighttravel.com/2013/10/20/how-to-do-sink-laundry-while-traveling/
While I haven't gone on an Alaskan cruise and can only speak to my experience on Caribbean cruises, I find that I only wear actual outfits a minimal amount of time since I am normally in a bathing suit and cover-up so I don't deem the clothing I wear dirty after only a couple of hours of wear. You may find this to be the case with your dinner wear.

OMG! I wouldn't want my DH to pack for me! I'd be terrified to see what he'd put in there. LOL!:D I'd end up with a bunch of super tight jeans, tight t-shirts, and sky high heels! Which is his preferred look on me! LOL!;)
This cracked me up because that's my husband, too! Except I'd be in super short skirts. LOL!

From what I've seen, it definitely does!

I think they are both super cute and will be perfect for dinner!

I've been looking into doing this as well. If you don't mind me asking, what website are you using to get that price?

Such a fan thread! I have loved reading them all!
Years ago, we had a stop in Playa del Carmen and had ventured out to a local beach. DH and I were had gotten into the ocean to splash around a bit when we noticed a nearby couple that were migrating towards us. The well endowed lady was topless and the man she was with was quite, um, handsy. He was also about 30 years older than she was. We were super uncomfortable about the situation so we moved further away but the couple kept following us. It was so awkward! Needless to say, we hightailed it out of there pretty quickly!

Hahahahaha! Love it!

Based on reviews, I bought a Remington Frizz Therapy Flat Iron instead of spending the extra money on a Chi. The Remington model heats up in 60 seconds and you can also adjust the temperature. I bought it in 2010 and have been very happy with it.
Check out the reviews on Amazon. It also got glowing reviews from Good Housekeeping: http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/product-reviews/beauty-products/hair-styling-tool-reviews/remington-flat-iron?click=main_sr

I'm trying to put a hold on my spending. Our upcoming cruise was actually scheduled for last year but we had to postpone it due to work schedules. So, I've been buying for well over a year now. On the bright side, that gave me plenty of time to find some great deals!
