  1. You can certainly do what you think is best for you, your family and the baby. The only opinion I have is that whatever you choose to do, it is your responsibility to see that other guests are not disturbed by your choice.

Other guests are not the OP's responsibliity. And if other guests choose to be disturbed, that is on them. I'm not advocating letting the baby be chaotic and scream through a show, but some people don't like the very "idea" of a baby, and that's not the OPs fault.

We are going on a cruise next month with my 6-month old nephew! I'll let you know how it goes. He's actually the least of my concerns. It's my 3-yr old that I think will be the bigger challenge.

  2. Hi All,

I'm sailing on the Pearl next month - August 17 to Alaska.

I have a lot of questions that I haven't "quite" been able to find the answers to, so I'm hoping you can help.

Drinks for kids - my children are 7 and 3, so the soda package is not an option. What is there available on board for them to drink - preferrably for free, but also for a charge. I think they serve OJ at breakfast, but what about juice the rest of the day?

Kids Club - On port days, can you leave the kids in the club and go onshore for an excursion? Or does a parent need to remain on the ship?

Wine - Do you have to pay when you bring the bottles onboard, or just when you ask to have them opened? Worried about possibly bringing on more than we drink...

    Any other tips are appreciated!
