Thanks MexicanMama. I kind of suspected that would be the case.

I realize that it takes the ship a few hours to make its way down the Mississippi on its way to the gulf. I was wondering if you still had cell phone service during this transit? It's not a big deal to me but I am traveling with people who find it difficult to unplug and think they need their cell phone until the last possible moment.

Thank you to everyone who posted feedback. I really appreciate your input and advice. I'm sooooo glad I didn't jump the gun and call Carnival and make any changes because as it turns out, my daughter and her friend have made amends and are looking forward to the cruise. Let's hope they can keep it up until August. I did learn my lesson though. From now on, no one but family gets booked, especially when it's a year in advance. Thanks again!

I was afraid of that.

I can do a name change? Oh, that would be wonderful! We were paying ourselves. I was under the impression I couldn't do a name change.

In July of this year I booked 2 adjoining balcony cabins on the Dream. We are booked to sail this coming August. My husband and I are in one cabin and my teenage daughter and her friend are in the other. Last week, my daughter and her friend had an argument and decided to part ways. Consequently, the friend is not going with us on the cruise. My husband's and my cabin is about $200 from being paid in full. I have paid little more so far than the $500 required to book the other cabin in the event that just such a thing would happen. What are my options at this point? We booked early saver. Can I cancel the other cabin and put our daughter in our cabin with us? I was really looking forward to the privacy separate cabins would give us though. I believe I have read on this forum that name changes are not allowed, so swapping one friend for another is out, correct? Or do I just finish paying for the other cabin even though it will only be occupied by one person? What would you do?

I love the Creme Brûlée that we had last year on the Breeze. I also look forward to the flat iron steak in the MDR.

So glad I'm not the only one. I love soft serve but not Carnival's. It tastes like a pale imitation of any other soft serve I've ever had. I try it on every cruise hoping that it has improved. It hasn't.

That's too bad. We sailed to Tortola in July 2013 aboard the Breeze. That was one of our all time favorite ports. So beautiful. Hopefully Carnival returns someday.

Glad you had a great time. We sailed on the Breeze last year and it was our favorite ship so far. That's weird about the embarkation. We were on board by 11:00 last time.

Lucky you. We aren't booked on the Dream until 8/2/2015. Let us know how your cruise went.

Is it possible to look at the menu in advance? We are booked on the Dream on 8/2/2015. I would like to go ahead and make reservations at the steakhouse but I don't know what night without seeing the MDR menu. We don't want to miss any of our favorites. Or would it be safe to wait until we are onboard to make reservations?
