Poor reviews across the NCL are beginning to sound like the norm for this cruise line sadly.  Wish we had researched these reviews before booking on the Joy this May.  I'm now beginning to research other cruise lines for next years sailing.   Thanks for your review.

I was on Oasis of the Seas in September and was disappointed in the food quality and selection

We have done Alaska on RCCL Serenade of the Seas (2008) and on RCCL Quantum of the Seas (2022). A couple of reasons why we picked those ships/itineraries:

    - The Serenade was going to Glacier Bay at the time and, as a smaller ship, it can get REALLY CLOSE to the glacier. Amazing day.

    - The Quantum is designed for cold weather cruises. The 270 has massive glass windows, the North Star provides an amazing view from high above the ship, and there is an enclosed pool and solarium. Also, indoor skydiving was amazing!

While we didn't go to Glacier Bay on our sailing, we did get to Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria. I greatly prefer those ports to Skagway (which is a one-and-done port for me...especially now that there are issues with the Yukon railway) or Ice Straight Point (which was essentially built for the tourists.

Also, RCCL docks in downtown Juneau, whereas some other cruise lines dock outside of downtown. This location makes it much more convenient to walk around or go to the Roberts Tramway, plus it is closer to many of the excursion sites, minimizing travel time.

I went on the Bliss last September and couldn't imagine any size ship getting much closer to the glacier than we got

I have been trying to look for Caribbean cruises for Sept 2023, but on NCL.com none show available. I messaged an NCL associate on live chat and they said they can’t see any available either and to try back in a few days - which I’ve done and still not available. Any ideas?  Can anyone else see cruises out of Miami or other Caribbean cruises available in September?

I think most of the ships are in other areas until October

Wow!  Thanks for sharing your experience.  I've been a little shy about booking the Bliss because of it's size but we are looking at her for Alaska in the future...assuming she still goes to Alaska.

I just went to Alaska on the Bliss in September and just booked another Alaskan cruise on her in 2024.. IMO it's perfect for Alaska with the Observation Lounge

I booked a balcony on the brand new MSC Seascape for half the price of an interior on NCL Encore!  I love NCL but there's no way I'm paying double for an interior cabin over a balcony.  And this wasn't just one particular week, it's pretty much every week until the end of the year.  I have a hard time believing they're going to fill their ships anytime soon with the crazy pricing.

Just read an article that MSC is slashing prices because they are trying to fill their ships NCL isn't

Well, I hope they follow through and repair the engine on the Star in Europe.  I just booked a cruise on her Lisbon to South America.....a slow journey if she still is only able to do 11 knots.

She has been able to do over 20 knots even with 1 bad engine

We were supposed to be on the Escape right now ( 😢 ), so we have been looking into using our FCC to book a replacement. I know NCL was generous enough to give us until 2022 to use it, but the airline is not being as generous. Therefore, we have to travel by the end of the year or we lose our airfare. My sister waited too long to book theirs and paid double what she normally would have, so she definitely doesn't want to forfeit that much money. Because of the airfare issue, we are booking the Breakaway for November 29, 2020. I'm hoping things are better by then...

Supposed to be on the Escape right now also! Used my FCC towards an Alaskan cruise on Encore next year.

Has anyone here who has taken the Future Cruise Credit for their March/April Norwegian cruises that got cancelled gotten confirmation of that credit yet? I called my PCC 2 weeks ago to take the credit and sign up for a new cruise. Haven't heard or seen ANYTHING yet about my credit, but they DID squeeze us another $250 on the spot during that phone call for a down payment on the new cruise.

I got mine about a week ago and have already booked another cruise
