  1. We prefer the bow due to no overhang and are A2 so less expensive. Like the sound of the waves crashing off the bow too. 1545 and 1550 are right next to the the Angle that cuts in, so good view.

Cabins on the angle at the bow are AQ (1). They have much larger balconies. Would be 1547, 49, 52, and 54. 1547 and 52 have the advantage of less overhang.

Cabins toward bow may have a little more motion though of course.

  2. Have done eight Cruise lines over 42 Cruises. Did many on RCI and enjoyed them all. Since 2010, our last two Royals, we have done all Celebrity and Princess - 21 or 22 Cruises. Love them both. Never been on a bad Cruise. Do love Aqua Class on Celebrity, MDR better to us on Princess.

Check Itinerary, Cost, age of Ship and make your choice. Other than staying away from old Carnival Ships, probably no bad choices.

  3. Keep in mind that is his counts as your first day on board, so why wait to board?

11:30 is our normal arrival time, much earlier and you will most likely have to wait.

Also, you have to be on board a minimum of one hour prior to sailing.

  4. Suggest you go post on the Roll Call for your Cruise. Go to Roll Call forums, click on your Cruise line, then your Ship, then find the date of departure. You will then be asking only folks who are n the Ship with you.

  6. Maybe in the daylight and you are fit and do not look like an easy [emoji457].

    Be careful where you wander.

Is a very poor Island with high unemployment. Would suggest a organized tour, ship or private.

  7. First Rule of seasoned Cruisers is NEVER fly in the day of the Cruise. Too much stress and too much can go wrong. It counts as your first day on Board, so get there about 11:30-12:00, get on board, and start the party.

Typically a taxi for two is cheaper and much quicker then a Cruise line bus, plus you control the timing.

  8. Lot depends on length of Cruise you can do.

Some of our favorites have been RT Bermuda ( May-September)(7 days- 3x), The Baltics with two days in St Petersburg (12 days), Panama Canal Full Transit(14-15 days), 10 Days around French Polynesia, and our RT 28 day Hawaii, Samoa, French Polynesia, out of LA. French Polynesia is at the Top of the list by far.

We also love Transatlantics, but you have to like Sea Days. Same with the 28 Day FP Cruise which had 18 of them.

  9. Issue I have with Aft Cabins is the "shimmy" vibration motion compared to the nice Rolling Motion one gets toward the Bow. Of course not having any issues with motion sickness helps.

I do enjoy watching the wake, but not as much as I love hearing the waves crash against the bow with the Cabin door open. Sounds like being at the Beach.

To each their own, but we always book a Balcony toward the Bow.

  10. I would think that some added cash at the end of the Cruise would be the best Thank You.

42 Cruises behind us and we have always left a little extra above the Standard.

  11. Falmouth and Ocho Rios are not the same.

Once outside the gates of the Cruiseline created shopping area, it is like wandering in a third world ghetto. If your fit and able and smart you will likely be ok, otherwise Take a Tour!
