  1. Just a suggestion, if you want to leave the tour after the Fram anyway: you could get the Oslo Pass, it includes the ferry to the island where the Fram museum is, it includes the entrance to the Fram Museum and the Viking Ship Museum amongst others (it also includes the entrance to the Folkemuseet (open-air museum), just around the corner of the Viking Ship Museum). It also includes any means of public transportation that can get you back to the ship.

I'm also pretty sure that this will be a lot cheaper than the Princess excursion .

  2. You said your tour is in Iceland, I guess you also booked with an Icelandic tour operator and not a Danish one. In that case, it's not Danish Kroner, but Icelandic Krona and thus 234,000 ISK convert to approx. 1912 USD, which seems quite logic to me and to your friend's calculation also.

  3. We were on this cruise, too (from 6 to 20 December) and had the best time.

We loved Roatán as well (did the ziplining and eco-walk and had a blast).

We were so glad Atomic was back on the ship (we sailed with them last year in the Mediterranean and love them).

The Cruise Director's Staff was awesome, I doubt it'll ever get better.

  4. Has anyone ever return their rental cars at the Port Everglades? How crazy is the traffic going into the Port area?

We did that in the beginning of December. Dropped the luggage (and my mum) at the pier, refilled the car and dropped it at the Hertz office and took the free shuttle bus back to the pier (although you might just as well drop off the car directly at the office and take the shuttle bus to the pier together with the loggage. We didn't find the traffic to be very crazy.

Also, do I still have to take a shuttle bus/taxi from the Hertz or National rental return desk to the Port?

We considered walking back to the pier from the Hertz office, which would have been a walk of about 20 minutes (without our luggage), but we were on pier 2, so this was quite near. Walking to other piers certainly would have taken an eternity.

Would it be better to just return the rental car at FLL and take the taxi to the Port Everglades?

We found it very convenient to return the car to the Port Everglades Hertz location and would do it again.

  5. I've never had to get from Berlin to Warnemünde, but I'm from Germany, so I think I can help.

Apart from the methods you mentioned, there's also a long distance train (meinfernbus.de - probably also others, but haven't researched them yet) which connects Berlin Alexanderplatz to Warnemünde as of 23 October. It's also very inexpensive if you book early enough (but probably also less comfortable than train).
