Thank you so much. Now I know where the trip into town begins.😃

Will be arriving into Wellington in March onboard Pacific Encounter. Can anyone tell me where the ship will dock?

I pulled of the coral pricne 22 August. Not take any risks as heard that going to cancell all of Coral curies from August.
You know this how????? I'm on 5th August sailing so it's news to me that cruises are going to be cancelled. False information yet again.

We were on Princess about 5 years ago, Yokohama to Sydney. One formal night a young man walked in all suited up looking very smick. Problem was...he was wearing thongs. That was a first.🙈

He might be sitting next to a bloke with baseball cap, t shirt, footie shorts and k mart thongs in the mdr by the sound of it. Not right.
Noooooo.😱😲😖

I think they will change. For the three or four nighters, a lot of people don't want to take dress-up clothes. I suggest that the dressy pants, L/S shirt and tie is a reasonable compromise, or the Goldilocks option - not too dressy and not too casual.
Goldilocks option. I love it.🤣
Dressy pants, L/S shirt and tie is as formal as DH gets.😊 Happy with that. Thanks for your reply.

Disembarked this morning. Don’t think I saw any guys in a tie. Did see some jackets. Also saw the usual shorts and caps during the dinner service.
Mmm, fairly casual. We're on B2B, in August, 14 days in total. Wondering if things will change on longer voyages? 🤔

For those who are still on board could please let me know what people are wearing to dinner, mainly men. Have you had any formal nights yet? How dressy or casual in the MDR? I've talked DH into bringing some dressy clothes eg dress pants, L/S shirt & tie. Just curious will he be overdressed on formal nights. Many thanks🙂

And I would still ask them to make it extra crispy
Yep, me too. Yum yum. If it's a heart attack waiting to happen, I'm there.😊

That awful streaky bacon, I call it 'Nuked' or 'Cremated.' It is the way the Yanks like it. In the MDR and Buffets they used to have the English type bacon also Canadian bacon.
In the past you could request English Bacon & it would be cooked fresh.

I’ve never played hence not realising what they were. We take our rummikub everywear but fortunately Frank is such a light packer it can always go in his case lol
Always take our travel size Rummikub on every cruise. Love this game.

I just got off Pacific Explorer today and checked my statement. I don't have it in front of me but I noted I got charged an extra for partner charities donation when I glanced over it in the stateroom before disembarkation. It was only $1 but I don't recall selecting any option for this. My cabin mate got the same charge.
Priot to covid this was normal practice for P&O. There is nowhere to say yes or no to this donation. You can have it removed prior to disembarkation if you wish.

Princess have not change their requirements for Australians.
What is acceptable proof of a negative Covid 19 test result?
We require all guests to complete the OceanReady steps via the MedallionClass App to simplify the pre-travel process of completing COVID-19 requirements and documentation. You will need to attest you have received a negative COVID-19 test result, provide proof of your COVID-19 vaccination status and to complete the health declaration. Once complete and all details & documents have been verified, you will receive 'Green Lane Ready’ status on the app, which you will need to present at the cruise terminal.
I believe the need to Upload test results applies to the USA. But if Princess is asking for a photo of a negative test from Aussies, who am I to argue.😉But it does seem a bit strange.🤔
CBtours, enjoy your cruises. Once onboard all this added stress with the testing, & app will be over. Deep breaths & relax. Wish I was going too.

On the Princess website, under On Board Our Ships -> Food & Dining -> Speciality Restaurants. Then scroll down until you see Sabatinis and you can click on a sample menu. It may vary slightly onboard but usually it's mostly the same. You can see the Bayou Cafe menu as well.
Thanks for that. Had seen it somewhere but couldn't remember where.🙄

This Sabatinis is a bit different than the others I've been to, it's a Sabatinis Trattoria. Princess changed some of the Sabatinis to Trattorias a couple of years pre-Covid. The original menus looked a bit weird, not traditional Italian, very modern and not very Italian in my opinion. However the current menu looks much more interesting.
We enjoyed the Sabatinis ambience on other ships and expect it to be similar on Coral. Be warned, the serving sizes are huge and there are 4-5 courses. I've learnt to only eat a portion of each course, no matter how yummy it is, so I can get through the whole meal.
Are you able to tell me where I can view the menu for Sabatinis. Thanks

Come on people, this is the Australia/New Zealand section of CC. By decree, there must be at least three thread drifts per page.
Does that mean I've got one more drift up my sleeve? Keep that one for later.🤭

Hi Kerri-Ann. I kind of remember but I’m atrocious for remembering faces. Mark is sure he remembers! Are you still here? We are retiring 1 August and going to the Gold Coast though. I have to say I won’t miss the cold!
We may of spoken with Mark a little more than you. 😁We moved to Tenterfield a few years ago. So, still in the cold. Good luck in your retirement. Nice weather we're having.
Sorry folks for hijacking the thread.

You wont remember us, but we met you a few years ago when we moved to your town & spent a night at your motel. We shared our love of cruising.😃🚢 Enjoy your Cruise.

Wilsons quoted $128.44 for a car parked in their Premium parking area 1 for our seven-day cruise. The problem is that they have some 'under shade' carparks and the rest are open air. I was told that if you arrive and there is an under shade space available, you can use it. Otherwise you park in the open. At the moment there is no option to book an under shade space. The under shade spaces are under structures that hold their solar panel array.
Thanks for letting me know that.😀 Have not booked yet and I would have checked out how spaces are allocated. May have to look elsewhere. We'll see.

Bookings for Wilsons parking , undercover (P1) at cruise terminal have been opened. This is the closest parking to the terminal. Price for the 5th to 19th August was $181.12. This price was online. Better price than some others & so convenient.🚢🚗
