  1. Are there any tried and true Wi-Fi hotspots in Grand Turk and Amber Cove? Before you shred me for being an internet addict, it's because my dad is failing and I'd like to be able to check in with him if possible during our upcoming HAL Eurodam cruise. We may wind up shelling out for the smallest block of minutes available onboard but would like to avoid that if possible.

    Any tips appreciated.

  2. HI everyone,

I seem to recall using an on-board smartphone app on MSC which was really convenient for brief communications when we weren't together or had missed meeting each other at some point. It was free and you didn't have to use international calling or cellular time.

I can't remember if HAL has something similar, or if ShipMate or some other smartphone app can be used onboard? I definitely don't want to run up a huge bill using cellular/international calling. We can always go old school and leave each other notes, but it would be nice to know if an app were available.

    Thanks in advance.

  3. After reading the reviews of the pillows on Divina, we fretted about bringing our own pillows vs. risking neck problems and pain if we didn't. So, we did a bit of research and discovered that there is a Ross Dress for Less store on Biscayne at Chopin Plaza near the POM. We made a quick trip to Ross and picked up a couple of nice pillows for $8.99 each and a couple of pillowcases and we were all set for the week on Divina. We did wind up taking the new pillows home anyway, but saved ourselves the potential neck-aches. A good option if you don't want to carry your own from home.

  4. HI everyone,

I'm new to the board and reading everything I can about the Divina...we are booked on the 12/13 sailing and I am psyched! We've been on small ships before so we're not technically "new" to cruising, but certainly not as experienced as many of you are.

We dance ballroom/latin/WCS and are hoping there are places to dance on board - we don't really care if it's an organized event or even if there's music provided (have iPad, will dance!), just an unused or uncrowded floor space during the afternoons - any suggestions? We're hoping to be able to stay up late enough to check out the Galaxy disco late night but no promises there. :D

I guess they offer some basic classes too, right? Any info is much appreciated!

    Thanks in advance.
