  1. We did this at the end of July with my 8 year old son and 11 year old daughter the elevator is amazing, and the zip lines are never ending. You can pay approximately 10$ for I think it's called the Mayan sacrifice you jump down the center of the pyramid on almost a bungee cord both kids loved that. They also have a zip line roller coaster which was different all lines end in the water. Just pack a lunch or get one on the ship the food is really that bad :(. We didn't get to do the lazy river as they were deep cleaning it, but everyone loved the slides!

  2. I don't think there is right now but lots of locals are talking about starting a car rental as they know it's needed. There was actually a place a year or two ago but I didn't see them this year.

  3. My son ended up going with nick at age 7 and caught I think 12 fish on a fly (we aren't limited to ship hours and a few were small) he then went out tarpon fishing with him and landed one of those. Nick is truly a great fun person to go out with.

  4. As a side question' date=' is there any problem with drinking the water or having ice in drinks (possibly frozen) in the area of the Malecon, or is it best to avoid both? In certain parts of Mexico, I know tourists can get sick from drinking the water. Thank you![/quote']

From what we can determine the cruise lines did the infrastructure for the water treatment for the area many years ago so it is sanitary. It comes from interior there is a large cenote piped in and then treated. I however do think it has too much chlorine in it so I have filters on our showers otherwise my hair is like straw. Most places locally either purchase ice (I see the large deliveries constantly) that use filtered water. I have also seen ice makers that connect directly to the large filtered water bottles.

  5. Pretty sure it is one business farther north than his old place on the beach. Ibiza sunset is in his old location but as far as I've seen they do not use the upstairs area for seating or anything. I'll edit this response today with the cross street but I think it's the first street as you see the soccer field not farther south. The little ladies fruit stand is very

Visible there and open air she has been there for at least the 5 years we have been coming. I run over and buy hot dogs there sometimes for beach dogs.

  6. He is directly on the malecon. I do not know the cross street as of now but it's the street that the little lady that sells fruit at across from the soccer fields. You would turn left there and then when you hit the malecon turn right. He is just a couple stores in immediately before Ibiza Sunset. I will try to take a pic tomorrow maybe it's a tiny little place and easy to miss if you hit ibiza sunset stop and step back 10 steps64a76d357dae6027c5054dd297118632.jpg this is the closest pic I have his chairs are down on the malecon behind Ibiza's sign you are looking north in this picture. If I remember right for a short period of time 100% Agave was located where Ibiza sunset now is.

  7. There is absolutely fly fishing in Mahahual. The guy I hear mentioned the most frequently is Nick Denbow, he has a website for the western caribbean fly fishing school but is willing to do all sorts of different things from instructing a beginner to attempting to land a specific fish. I suggest you contact him. I never used him but he gave me great tips on a fly rod for my 6 year old son to use in Mexico. We have a home in the area and have only heard great things.
